Outside of not getting all of the correct parts included with the package, it's a great radar gun.
Here it is in use with New York Mets prospect Zack Wheeler:If you're considering a radar gun the new version of the Jugs gun is a great choice. If you have a need for accuracy, to within .1 mph, and repeatable results, nothing beats this. Forget the cheaper alternatives, they don't deliver the precision and reliability of the Pro-Sports Digital Radar Gun Bite the bullet on the price and you won't be disappointed. This is the gun you see the MLB scouts with, and the DI college coaches.
The Pro-Sports Digital Radar Gun doesn't use a wall charger any more. The kit includes a quick charger, with LEDs showing the amount of battery charge. The initial charge was pretty quick, around 3 or 4 hours. Note that you can't use regular alkaline batteries with this unit.
It's light, and easy to use. The basic modes of the radar gun include one where you can press the trigger a couple of seconds before each pitch, and that works fine. The radar pulse is long enough so that it doesn't require split-second timing to press the trigger. I tend to use the gun in continuous mode, which is definitely foolproof, not requiring the trigger at all. It cuts down on battery life, but even in continuous operation, you could probably clock every pitch in a doubleheader.
The case is well padded and has some extra room.
All pros and no cons, from my standpoint!
