I bought this product from a local auto parts store after seeing the reviews online. I tried the Interdynamics EZ Chill but it never really stayed in the system. I could hear a hiss from the instrument panel whenever the A/C was on, especially on acceleration. So I figured there was a leak on that area, which would cost a fortune to have fixed at a repair shop. My van has 168K miles so it's not worth the repair. Why not give this a shot? (I thought to myself). So I bought it along with an extra can of straight R-134a coolant.

I followed instructions to the tee. The passenger side was getting a little cooler, but the driver side was very warm. It took about 15 minutes of driving until they both started to cool down (the rear was cold immediately). After 45 minutes of driving it really got nice and cold and I could hear intermittent hissing, but it eventually went away, which must be good. I'll update after a few weeks to see if the charge remains.

Before using this product, I tried recharging my system with R-134a that included a leak sealant. But the system was empty three days later. I needed a better sealant or some major work so I tried this product. Using it is easy. It seals so well that you need to follow the instructions exactly and immediately recharge with R-134a after using this product, and keep the system running for 15 minutes on maximum cool, so you don't seal your charging ports.

One of the big reasons for A/C leaks is dried seals due to not turning the A/C on between seasons. I can't say why my system leaked, but three days after I used this product, I had to stop using my system for almost a year. And when I started using it again, it was still at full capacity and has remained there since.

I had a somewhere near the compressor last year when I purchased a used car. I charged the system because I failed to realize the leak and it was empty within a few days. It says it is recommended to only use on leaks that empty after two weeks but this product sealed it completely. Make sure your compressor is running before entering this into the system and charge afterwards to prevent a sealant on the port. So far it has been leak free for about a week, if I don't update this than that means it has worked for as long as this review has been posted. I am happy to finally have air!

UPDATE: Today the compressor failed to initiate. I checked the level of refrigerant and it is too low to start the compressor up. It looks like it failed to seal the leak but sealed it partially as the refrigerant took awhile to leak out. Will purchase a new compressor and install that and hope that fixes the issue.

I actually got this tool when I bought the 6-tool set that comes in a contractor bag. I really bought the set for the reciprocating saw, the circular saw, the grinder, and the "normal" drill. My attitude toward the impact driver was more or less, "eh, that thing looks pretty wimpy". Well, that was two months ago, before I completely re-framed half of a house. This is now the most used tool I own. I can drive 3 1/2" screws into studs and headers all day long, one handed. As long as I'm driving straight, I will never strip out screw heads with it. In fact, the worst problem I have is breaking bits. The DeWalt "Impact Ready" bits are the worst. I will sometimes break a bit after only one screw. That should give you an idea of the torque and power this thing generates! The good news is that I did find that, surprisingly, Kobalt bits seem to hold up very well for some reason. I can sometimes get 50 screws driven with one Kobalt bit! I'm talking 3 1/2" screws into yellow pine, by the way. If you're driving 2" screws you'll go all day with one bit. Get the Kobalts, though they're $13 for a box of 50 at Lowe's. The DeWalts are something like $7 for 5 bits which are good for about 10 screws total before they all break.

It may seem intimidating that it breaks bits, but don't worry, my 97 pound girlfriend has no trouble at all using this thing. Really it's unbelievable. There is simply no way to put into words how well and easily this thing drives screws. It seems impossible. The days of leaning into the back of a regular drill with all my weight, just to have the screw head strip out millimeters from being set are over!

I'm buying one of these for my brother for his birthday it's the best gift I could possibly give to someone that does any kind of carpentry or drives fasteners. Absolutely worth every penny.

PS. I know this review is over the top, and I'm sure there are other drivers that perform just as well, but my experience with this tool has been just great, so I wanted to share it with the world! Thanks for reading!

Dewalt has apparently fixed most of the problems found in the old ni-cad style impact guns (like excessive bit wobble) and added a light like the Makitas and Ryobis have. Not long ago a friend gave me an extra DeWalt 18 volt drill he'd come into. I'd been using a 12 volt Makita for over a decade, and I was impressed with how much more torque and battery life the DeWalt had. The same friend also had a DeWalt impact driver from the same series, and again, I was impressed how well this handled mechanical tasks usually relegated to a pneumatic impact driver. But even more impressive was how well the DeWalt worked for driving screws.

A few years ago, the major cordless tool makers started to come out with impact drivers which they marketed not to mechanics, but to carpenters. While today's 18volt cordless drills do a pretty good job of driving screws, they still start to bog down when driving really long screws into hard or resinous wood. The slow, stall, and eventually overheat. But impact drivers don't do this. They work on a different principle, using a motor-driven hammer to repeatedly strike an anvil that drives the output shaft. As the load increases, they switch from spinning to a rapid-fire staccato impact mode, in which every impact turns the screw a bit farther, while the motor continues to spin and bring in cooling air.

I was very pleased to discover that Amazon had a DeWalt impact driver available in a batteryless and caseless package (for those of us who already have a charger and several batteries) for about $125. I purchased mine for a mix of yard projectsthis is a great tool for driving the big screws used to tie landscape timbers togetherhome projects, and motorcycle/scooter maintenance. I bought this last year after my Black and Decker 18v drill died it's 3rd death. I got it in a 4 tool combo kit on sale at Lowes. I build haunted houses for the Halloween season so most of what I do construction wise is with rough and sometimes very old and hard woods. The woods are also made super tough (like rock) from a chemical that must be sprayed on them to make them fire retardant. I found that before, even with an 18v drill that screws would shear off before going into the boards which made it difficult to make secure connections in the wood. It is hard to make something look old and spooky and still have it be safe so having good, solid tools is a must. Right after I charged the battery I tried this tool out. Wow!! It drove a 3 inch deck screw into an old hardened 2x4 in the blink of an eye!! I had never used a tool like that. It quickly became a favorite of mine on the jobsite. I used it hard and it never once let me down. I bought it toward the end of the build so I only got to use it on a few hundred screws but never a disappointment. I'm looking forward to using on this season's build as well as in my volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone who builds.

I have tried a variety of chargers. This is one of the best around. I have three of these chargers in various locations. I hook up all my vehicles and spare batteries when not driving to keep the batteries at optimum condition. (One should always keep Lead-acid type batteries in a fully charged state, and never fully discharge them.)

I also used this to bring some of my older batteries back to life. For example, one of the older batteries would only register 12.6V when charged with a conventional charger, and quickly settled to 12.1 V at rest. After 4 days of pulsing, the battery is at 13.2V fully charged state, and 12.8V at rest. This battery can be used to help neighbors jump start cars, and it runs some 12V devices effectively during power outages.

Warning: Do not connect this to a bad battery that has a short. The battery will draw current at a high rate from the charger, and the charger gets very hot. Although I caught it in time, it may overheat and damage the charger. Always monitor the charger for a few hours when hooking up to an old battery, to watch for over-heating. Or test to determine that the battery does not have a short before hooking up.

I am also using this to try and maximize the life of the newer AGM batteries. We'll see how that goes.

i bought this because i read a review of the single output version of this battery charger on back in 2007. for 5 years, i was very skeptical about the claims the manufacturer made about their technology being able to improve the condition of a battery. i was even more weary of paying the price for one when yuasa branded chargers and deltran battery tenders could be had for a fraction of the price. lately, i have been noticing a trend among the batteries in my motorcycles. for the first couple of weeks after buying new batteries, they crank the engines really well. then even if i kept them on a charger (yuasa or deltran, i've had both) any time the bikes weren't running, the battery performance would drop and get to cranking the engines slowly again within a few weeks. i even bought a brand new bike last year, and the brand new battery that came in it seemed like it was barely capable of turning the engine over. so i decided to bite the bullet and fork out the money to see if the manufacturer's claims are true. i like trying out new, interesting stuff once in a while, and with this dual output charger, i can plug both my bikes in and only use one power outlet in the garage.

this is one of those very few cases when i can say that the manufacturer's claims are definitely true. both of my bikes turn over MUCH faster after a couple of weeks of being hooked up to this battery charger. the technology just flat out WORKS. if you're in the market for a battery charger/maintainer, i definitely recommend giving this one or it's single output counterpart a try. yeah, they're expensive, but so are motorcycle batteries. i only wish i had bought one of these back in 2007 instead of waiting so long and thinking that the cheapo yuasa and deltran chargers were just as good. try one of these, and i think you'll be impressed.

I have seen 3 of these identical models now.

I have one that I bought last year, and it's a 2 channel model. It works fine for motorcycle AGM battery maintenance, my application. I continue to use this one.

I needed another 2 channel model (I have too many toys), and I bought and tried 2 of these units in a row, from different distributors. Both exhibited the same failure mode. I made a series of tests using 5 different motorcycle batteries to insure it was not the batteries. It was not to my satisfaction. The failure did indeed follow the charger unit each time.

So, the problem is the charger, on only one channel, would indicate a 75% charge, and never exceed that. That is, it would never get to 100% and then go to "float" mode. It appeared "stuck" at 75%, no matter which battery would be placed on the channel (all the same AGM battery type).

These two boxes had pretty close to the same serial number range, and were both pretty far (in numeric range) from my original (good) charger.

I suspect their latest firmware or software is not too well tested, and is "buggy". I'm not gonna try a 3rd one...

I bought this Car charger because I was going halfway across the U.S. and back, which is like a 60 hour trip. I knew I would be using my phone and laptop, so I bought this so I could charge both of them. I already own a Tripp Lite 375w inverter, but it's bulky and noisy. So I decided to buy the Bestek 75w.

My test:

The USB and AC outlet both worked well to charge my cell phone. But when I plugged in my MacBook, it wouldn't charge. I thought something might be wrong with the Macbook cord, so I tried it on the Tripp Lite, and it didn't charge either! The Tripp Lite worked previously so I was almost sure the Macbook or its cord had the problem. When I got back home the Macbook charged fine on my home AC. So I went back to the car and plugged the Macbook into the Tripp Lite charging light comes on! Then the Bestek no light. Tripp Lite again no light! I waited a few minutes and tried the Tripp Lite again light comes on! The Bestek was doing something strange. I then use my Kill-a-Watt on the Bestek. Turns out the AC frequency fluctuates wildly during my short measurement I saw it briefly dip to 40 Hz. This is way too low and was probably causing issues with the Macbook (Tripp Lite was more stable and my brief test didn't show it dropping below 50 Hz). Power couldn't be the issue the Macbook adapter is rated at 60w max, so even if I add 10% as the Bestek instructions recommend, it's still below 75w. I have a 3rd gen Toyota Prius but I assume the DC ports act just like non-hybrids.

Note that other laptops probably would work, but mine didn't. Bottom line is that the low frequency is not acceptable because the standard is 50-60 Hz. I wonder if the other Bestek inverters have the same issue.

Other thoughts:

I like the compact form factor and the swiveling body; the latter helped with plugging it into confined DC ports like the one in the console box between the seats in the Prius. The AC outlet seemed a bit tight; when the Bestek was in the DC port and I wanted to remove an AC device, I was afraid my pulling would eventually damage the DC connector, or worse yet, the port. USB port was just the right tightness.

I purchased the PROMOTION BESTEK 75Watt 12 Volt DC to 110-120 Volt AC Power Inverter With USB Adapter MRI711C-3 on a Thursday and it arrived on Saturday. I got this product for an inflatable bed I use when camping. I have not gone camping with it yet but I did inflate and deflate the bed I use two times in a row and it worked great, just as good as the wall outlets in my home. The unit was slightly warm to the touch after about ten minutes of continuous use but not warm enough to warrant any concern. Thus far this product has done what I got it for and it has done it well.

This is a nice set of tools, don't get me wrong, but the fact that the box says "Made in China" is a big disappointment coming from Craftsman. I was looking for something that would run a 1400 watt coffee maker for the Motorhome as well as the 1000 watt microwave. The key for me was the remote switch so I can mount it out of the way. This works perfectly, not both appliances at the same time but each separately is no problem. Lots of battery (3 group 29 batteries) with huge 4 Awg wiring within 3 feet of each other. Figure 1400 watts is 140 amps so be prepared for this.

I installed this inverter on my boat to run a few appliances so I don't have to run the generator. I tried it on the largest power consumer, the 900W microwave. Inverter shuts down (and yes, battery bank is fully charged to almost 14V and load test perfect). This IS NOT a 1500W inverter as described! Also, the low-voltage shutdown feature kicks in at 11.4V, WAY above the 10.0V listed in the manual! This is the cheapest inverter I've ever bought (regrettably). Will not buy a Cobra again. Over-rated, misleading specs. Junk

Jugs Pro-Sports Digital Radar Gun

The Pro-Sports Digital Radar Gun doesn't use a wall charger any more. The kit includes a quick charger, with LEDs showing the amount of battery charge. The initial charge was pretty quick, around 3 or 4 hours. Note that you can't use regular alkaline batteries with this unit.

It's light, and easy to use. The basic modes of the radar gun include one where you can press the trigger a couple of seconds before each pitch, and that works fine. The radar pulse is long enough so that it doesn't require split-second timing to press the trigger. I tend to use the gun in continuous mode, which is definitely foolproof, not requiring the trigger at all. It cuts down on battery life, but even in continuous operation, you could probably clock every pitch in a doubleheader.

The case is well padded and has some extra room.

All pros and no cons, from my standpoint!

Was looking for a car charger for the iPhone 4s my family just got. Wanted a unit with:

-a sleek profile

-solid construction

-matte black color, matching car interior

-good reviews

This charger does a pretty good job.

It matches our cars interior dash color of matte black. Good star count with equally good reviews. Compared to other chargers on amazon it has one of the sleeker profiles, not sticking out of the 12-volt socket an inch or more like some on amazon.

Unfortunately, it does not meet flush with the socket and dash. There is about a centimeter raise of the unit above the dash which I've caught my lanyard on and actually Pulled the unit out, which is not to difficult. With little force it pulls out of the socket.

Beside the slight issue of the unit pulling out and not flush, it works perfectly. I would recommend the unit to anyone who wants a solid low profile car charger.

This charges any device with a USB connector (which needs to be purchased separately), not just the iPhone 5.

I've been using it for the iPhone 5, and so far so good. While I drive to or back from work, it tops up my phone. If you have an iPhone 5, you know that's a big deal, because the battery life is...not good.

It doesn't protrude from the cigarette lighter at all. It's a flush mount. I like that. So if you're not using the cigarette lighter for anything else, you don't have to remove it. It doesn't get in the way of anything.

I like the color. It makes it easy to find. I don't know how long it takes to fully charge an iPhone, but I'm happy with it.

So far so good.
