The GTMax Home Travel Charger for my Magellan Roademate 1412 does charge the unit and needless to say, the price is right. The only drawback is, is that you don't know when your re-chargeable battery reaches full charge, as the unit does not shut off when the battery reaches full charge. You must turn on the GPS and check the status of the battery in the GPS window. Then again, it does charge the unit. I do repeat, price is very low. If you were to purchase the same type of charger from Magellan, in comaprison, their price would be very high.

I like it but I can never tell if my unit is fully charged at the time I unhook the charger.
