I've owned three of these. They work great. I can't vouch for distance, but in a vehicle or within a room I get a good, strong signal. I'm buying a couple more to have for spares.

this thing didn't work for me more then 5 sec... I sent an inquiry to the company to ask if i'm doing something wrong or if i can fix it... but I'll prolly have to return it
