As a long haul truck driver it gets used every day to run my microwave, laptop and phone charger.
My TV is connected to a smaller 500 watt inverter.
The Power Bright causes some problems with the digital tv signal but no problems with anything else.
For the new HD televisions you need to go with a more expensive sine wave inverter.

I bought this inverter for my truck and I use it on a daily basis. I run my laptop, microwave and power tools with no problem. I've used other small PowerBright inverters in the past and I've been very happy with their products.Read Best Reviews of Power Bright PW1500-12 Power Inverter 1500 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt AC Here
Last year when the power went out I realized that keeping the refrigerator going was my top priority. When the items arrived I connected the power inverter to a deep cycle battery and then plugged in the refrigerator. I kept it going for half an hour and noticed no appreciable drop in the battery's voltage. I then recharged the battery with my trickle charger. I don't know how long the setup will keep working when needed but I feel reassured that it will be long enough.Want Power Bright PW1500-12 Power Inverter 1500 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt AC Discount?
I bought it to use as a backup in case of power failure, to power my sump pump. At a recent storm (Sandy), I did not have to use it but I did test it to see if it would run my pump. Which it did reasonably effortlessly without practically dropping the voltage at all. If it helps I have a 1/3 hp sump pump (Zoeller M53).I used a deep cycle battery to run my test, but probably on an ongoing basis (if and when there's an emergency) I plan to hook it up to my car and keep the engine running. Also, it seems most convenient to me to just use jumper cables to connect it to the battery (stand alone, or in my car). If someone has a better suggestion for me (and others), please do put in a comment.
I've only had it for a few days, and I will be an occasional user (if even that) so I have no idea if this thing will last me a long time or not. That's the reason I am holding back one star, and I will come back and update my review as time goes by.
