This RCA Mobile Sound System for iPad is really a clever device for use in the car or at home. It works with all three versions of the iPad. The kids can watch movies on your iPad on the long car trips without having to hold it (and potentially delete apps!) It also keeps the iPad charged so the battery won't be dead when you arrive at your destination. The wireless headphones sound great and make private listening in the car cord-free.

For use in the car, it has a very sturdy metal and plastic bracket that mounts to the headrest with velcro straps. The dock then clips in and out of the bracket very easily. The iPad can be slid into the dock either before or after it's attached to the headrest bracket. The 12V power cord plugs into the dock to provide power to the iPad and the built-in speakers on the dock. The wireless headphones run on batteries and automatically turn off when they don't detect any sound transmission for a period of time. Great feature!

When we're not using it in the car, we keep it on the kitchen counter as a charging station for the iPad. It has a little flip-out stand to hold it upright and it takes up very little counter space. The built in speakers also sound great for listening to music from the iPad, or even for watching Netflix while cooking or eating.
