Ingersoll Rand 3/8" 14.4v Crdls Sq Dr Rat Wrench

Ingersoll Rand 3/8' 14.4v Crdls Sq Dr Rat Wrench
  • Rugged metal housing for increased cranking strength
  • Uses advanced head design from Ingersoll Rand Air Ratchets
  • Compatible with IQv 14.4V batteries, including Ni-Cd and Lithium Ion
  • Battery sold separately

This is one third of the total package, and the main reason for the other two thirds. Imagine my surprise when I get the tool and find it lacks a battery or a charger!!! Not mentioned at all by Ingersoll Rand (IR), by the way. I was happy with the tool, the size and weight, but not happy with the "piece by piece" nature of the system.

I will continue to update this site as to the tool itself.

Bought this for my husband for our 1 year anniversary. He must really like it because he tells everyone "look what my wife bought me!" which is not normal for him to do (haha!) I've never used it, but when the boys are working on cars, its always used...even if its not really necessary to use it. :)

This is the latest in a series of IQv tools I have bought. I have the W360 impact and D650 drill they are all quality tools that I am sure will outlive me.

I was surprised by the previous review as all the sites I have seen these tools on clearly say TOOL ONLY so I looked and you have to wade to the bottom of the specs to see battery included: NO

Amazon you really ought to make TOOL ONLY more prominent.

As far as this ratchet works and power for a ratchet it gets a 4 0r 5 depending on if you are comparing it to pneumatic or cordless. Pneumatic is still better but this is a comparable alternative. I gave it a 4 because it was a ratchet with excellent power for a cordless but a large heavy ratchet. As a person who has worked in the automotive trade, I would say the 1/2 drive R385 is perfect for trucks and heavy equipment. The R380 is only a 4 because it is a well built but a little bit large and cumbersome for smaller automotive. It would still work great but an example is when I did remove and replace on autos my favorite air tools was a 3/8 mini ratchet (pneumatic) and a 1/2 strong air wrench or gun. It will do the job but lacks the strength of a 1/2 gun and the convenience of the small mini air ratchet. I am glad for the purchase and have a 3/8 drive and a 1/2 drive which would mean it is still a good useful purpose. I know longer can work I must of bought them to lend out (either that or I still like tools). Probably because I like tools since they do not always return when you lend them out.

All Power America APG3004 1000-Watt 2-Cycle Gas Powered Portable Generator

All Power America APG3004 1000-Watt 2-Cycle Gas Powered Portable GeneratorI bought this generator several months ago on a whim at Cost U Less in St. Croix where I live. I figure that if a Hurricane hit us it may be useful to have backup power. This proved to be one of the best purchases I ever made.

On Wednesday night into early Thursday we got hit with Hurricane Omar, a Category 3 storm. After the storm we had no power. My basement apartment that is occupied by a tenant was flooded. I fired up this little 2 stroke generator and plugged my wet vac into it. It worked great, it could handle the load the 3HP wet vac put on it (this is only a 2HP generator, we gained an entire horse :)). Within an hour and a half her apartment was cleaned up pretty good.

That night we still had no power. I was able to power up my 47" LCD TV, Satellite Box, DSL modem, and Linksys router off of it. I got about 6 hours with this load on 1 gallon of oil/fuel mixture....not bad. The next night we still had no power so my wife added her laptop to this load and got about 5 hours on a gallon of fuel.

Now it would not power my refrigerator or my water pumps from the Cistern which was a bit disappointing. The startup load of the fridge was just too great. Also, like all 2 stroke motor's, starting it can be a pain...when you let gas sit in it for a while the mixture gets a little oil heavy...adding a small amount of gas and "shaking" it seems to get it started again. You will have to yank the cord a few times which is challenging for my wife. It also is loud (as all 2 stroke motor's tend to be).

For the $130 I paid for this I got my money's worth. Just being able to get online and watch my Satellite TV after the storm made life post-Omar much easier. I am very glad I bought this product. It's not a solution to all your power problems but in a pinch such as the one I was in it has worked out great.

Purchase first one, came damaged during shipping and doesn't work. I called Amazon and they shipped out second one and I have to pull it like 20 times just to start it up! When it FINALLY does work, it seems like it is going to stop again It just keeps stalling. Only works for like 15 minutes and then just stops again. In the end, I had to call the manufacturer who promised me that they will refund my purchase. As of this date, I have still not received my refund.

As with buying anything made in china, you take a risk on whether or not it will be quality. Of course, someone has to take these risks to let others know what to expect.

What you get when you buy this is, a 800 watt continuous 2 stroke generator. Nothing else in this description can you take to heart, its almost all lies(china).

First of all, you can make this as quiet as a $2000 honda gen for about $40, if you want to put some time in by checking things, fixing a few things(not that they were broke, more of piece of mind) If you dont want to do any of that, stop here, dont buy this, go spend thousands on a little honda, and be done with it. If you have some skills, and patience, continue reading.

-You must first remember mix gas + oil with this, or it will die quickly.

-You must then remember to start a little rich(more oil than needed) to seat the mechanical parts in. Id run a tank of gas(rich) with no load thru it to get the engine and electric motor broke in.

-If you have trouble starting it...make sure the fuel line is turned on...really..thats probably %90 of people who complain, or they used old gas or didnt mix it properly.

-Then(since it is made in CHINA) I would do a quick once over on all fasteners, and wires, I would recommend adding some auto wire tubing to the wires under the gas tank, for added longevity against chaffing.

-This little buggar is LOUD, Specs (from CHINA) say 65 db, well let me tell you, that would have to be(heres the catch, 65 db from HOW FAR AWAY? who knows, its china) 100 feet(ok not THAT much) or so away for it to be reading those levels. I read 100-130 db right next to the unit, and 100-110 about 10 feet away, non exhaust side. Very loud, can cause hearing loss actually at close distances, luckily about %30 can be reduced by simply making an ingenuous muffler out of a spray paint can...im not going to explain how to do this, simply look at the picture...figure it out, its not that hard, take a can, poke some holes in it, stuff a steel tube half way through, stuff with fiber glass, shove it off the stock muffler exit. BAM, expect 70-80 db after that.

-Next step to taking this little turd to honda specs (50-60 db) is making a 4(yes 4...no front) sided box, and putting a few office building acoustic ceiling tiles in, or acoustic foam if you can find some. I assume you can understand how to make a box, with one side missing and no bottom yes? Its not that hard, glue the tiles on, make sure the box is much bigger (read ~6 inches on all SIDES, not top) to allow for air flow.

Put the spraycan muffler on, start er up, I add a small fan behind the unit, that will be in the box with it to help cool it, as a downside of anything that absorbs sound is it usually is very insulating.

So put the fan behind it, off to the side, cover er up, aim the exhaust away from you, walk 10 feet away, and PRESTO, 60 db ratings, or close to HONDA specs...

Can be done in one day, so is $1800 in savings worth one day of project work to you? If no, buy a honda. If yes, well get this made in china sucker, and put a little effort into your savings.

(will add pics soon)

-Brad

I have the Champion version of this generator. I bought mine at Cabelas for $100. It required starting fluid when I first bought it because I used it so infrequently and it would smoke after I started it. After 3 years of owning it I bought a travel trailer with a small 5000 btu AC. I have used it many times to run the AC and a few accessories. It does a good job. After actually running for a few hours and getting broken in, it now starts on the first or second pull, actually gets more quiet under load, and I can keep 700-800 watts consistently powered. I only gave 4 stars because it was hard to start before the break in was done. Fuel economy is not great, but it is a cheap genny that does exactlly what it is suppose to do!

Well, I am Festival & Fair vendor. I booked a Labor Day weekend event that required me to provide my own electricity. I figured i'd buy a small portable generator to provide electricity to a strand of lights strung around my tent. Amazon has been great all around. I got it in 2 days like promised. I took it to my festival. I am a woman and it was easy enough for me to start. I ran it for like 3 hours. I was packed with customers and the light just died. Customers fled, money was lost. Other vendors tried to get it started but upon inspection realized the gas was pouring out from the bottom. I had no lights what so ever for the rest of the night. Now I am forced to buy a 500.00 generator from the local Home Depot in order to salvage my weekend. Stay away, stay far away from this hunk or crap or it to will leave you in the dark.

Ramsond® 20 Watt 20W W Solar Panel Module 12V Nominal Output RV Boat Battery Charger Charging Trick

Ramsond® 20 Watt 20W W Solar Panel Module 12V Nominal Output RV Boat Battery Charger Charging Trickle BoatGreat product does exactly what I need It to do. I use this and a sunshield to keep my tractor battery charged during the cold months so I do not have to jump it or charge it prior to the times I need to use it.

This is a nice panel that upon voltmeter assessment in full sun, actually slightly exceeded the amperage rating by the manufacturer. The open circuit voltage (Voc) is also at the rated voltage. The build quality appears to be good with the exception of the sealing of the panel on the back side. The original panel I ordered actually was not sealed in the back at all. I sent it back for a replacement, which they did with a free return shipping label as it was defective. However, the replacement panel also had a poor quality silicon sealant job done on the 4 sides on the back of the panel where the white tedlar backing joined the aluminum frames. I just caulked it myself as I didn't want water intrusion over time. I was also tired of returning a panel that only cost me 65 bucks including shipping.

Overall a good buy for the money. They could do better with the quality control. I anticipate it will hold up well overall, however and it has a 25 year output warranty.

Active 10 TREK

Active 10 TREK
  • Easy to use, hand-held sports GPS
  • Plot routes, POIs (Points of Interest) and view key statistics
  • Long battery life and offers the most power options of any GPS
  • Mapping is available on SD Cards

I debated before purchasing the Satmap for myself and my Dad, did I really need yet another device? We're both keen hikers and wanted something to help us explore some less well known trails in the Bay Area. Just a few days in, we're both enamored with the ease of use and the quality of the product. The mapping from Nathional Geographic is detailed and the size of the screen is a bonus when navigating. My Dad isn't that techie and he loves it. Definitely worth the investment if you are outdoorsy.

This GPS Unit is £400 in Britain that's $628 in America, but even at this cheap price it's still way over priced,it's as if it's a prototype so could be good someday, but not now,for instance it's claimed to have an IP rating of 65,but using this thing in even slight rain isn't advised as water gets behind the back cover and behind the screen, also they quote up to 120 hours battery life, when you're lucky to get 12 hours out of it and it's very tedious to use without a computer, speaking of computers it only works properly on a PC and the online mapping service together with maps cost a fortune, personally I wish I bought a cheap GPS or a car type SATNAV than this.

Read Best Reviews of Active 10 TREK Here

This GPS looks like a great product. It has exactly the features and map detail I desire for day hiking. Unfortunately, SATMAP has only 12 National Geographic State Map cards currently available for the device (and none of them are where I live).

In addition, the National Geographic State Map cards cost $99.99 per state. If you are like me, and hike in five separate states (Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina) then the cost of the map cards becomes excessive.

I own National Geographic's TOPO software for my home PC, and use it to produce my own detailed trail maps. National Geographic bundled multiple states in their TOPO software (Georgia, Alabama, and Florida are together); I am waiting to see if they will do the same with their SATMAP map cards.

We bought this item so we could use our Cowon during a road trip. It worked fine in the beginning, but the adapter broke after less than a week. It bent sideways and then stopped working, as we noticed when the Cowon stopped playing since the battery was drained. We don't recommend this product if you can't be very careful while using it.

Lincoln Lubrication (LIN1864) 18V Dual Battery Li-Ion PowerLuber Grease Gun Kit w/LCD Display

Lincoln Lubrication 18V Dual Battery Li-Ion PowerLuber Grease Gun Kit w/LCD Display
  • LCD flow meter displays grease output
  • LED lights up fittings when under equipment or in shaded areas
  • 36" long-reach hose with spring guard
  • One hour fast charger rapidly charges the 3.0 amp batteries.
  • ?Two-speed design delivers outstanding flow and pressure

My first cordless electric grease gun was a Lincoln. It was a 14.4 volt ni-cad. It was way better than hand pumping grease. I run heavy equipment, front end loaders and excavators in sometimes frigid temperatures (Denver). I had to have 2 batteries. It was disapointing how quickly the batteries wore down, and how long it took to charge them up. I ruined the gun by running it down til the batteries wouldn't turn it over anymore. Then I got a great deal on a Lincoln 12 volt ni-cad grease gun. I learned not to run it till the batteries were dead. It lasted me a couple of years, but battery life was always a disapointment. Then I got a PowerLuber brand grease gun, again ni-cads and disapointing. It only lasted about a year. This Lincoln 18 volt Li-ion grease gun is fabulous. It is light years ahead of anything I have ever used. It seems to run forever on a charge, and it has undercharge protection, so you won't burn up the motor if you try to hit those last 2 zerks when the battery is too low. It is unbelievable how great it is to be able to see how much battery life you have left at any time, and be able to "top off" the charge before a big greasing event ( no battery memory issues). It is nice to know at a glance how much grease is left in the gun, too. THIS IS THE BEST EVER GREASE GUN!

I won't spend time praising the child-pacifying benefits of a car DVD system. That said, this piece does the job, accepting multiple formats and with good ease to set up. However, to pick on the absolute best (and what took me to choose this over other multiple options out there), I will say the stanchion mount lets me sleep in peace knowing if anything ever happened (aka car accident), the DVD will not end up as a projectile hitting someone in the car. Just look at these guys' crash test videos and that will give you some reassurance. The construction at first looke a little cheap on the outside, as it is to a great extent made of plastic (not metal), on the outside. However, to that same point, it looks quite durable and sturdy and "child proof" and although I am not willing to test this and would not recommend you do, I would expect it could take a few more hits than other competitor brands without any major damage. The connectivity for powersource is easy as the cigarette lighter cable goes straight to the mount, and you can just remove the player when you get out of the car (you don't have to spend time winding and unwinding cables every time). The screen has control buttons on the top (apart from a comprehensive remote conrtol), so controlling the unit from the front seat takes some time, but the LED screen does show an on-screen display mimmicking the buttons on top of the unit, so with just looking at the screen you can know where to find the buttons and what you are pressing. All in all, I think this is a great product and I would buy again. My only issue was that my Toyota Sienna had headrest stands which apparently were thiker than anticipated by the vendor, who supplied 16mm bolts (I think the size was M4 0.7 x 16) for securing the stanchion mount. The bolts were hence not long enough and the vendor gladly accepted to send longer ones, although what I got was a regular flat screw and not allen.. I do recognize the 20mm allen bolt wasn't available at the Depot, but I did find some on Amazon at a reasonable price. In any case, the bottom line is "first hand" the screws might end up a few millimiters too short and you might have to request from the vendor (or purchase) a pair of longer bolts. Again: I would not disrecommend the product just because of that (hence the 5 stars).

You don't ever have to mesh with the cables or trying to remount them. Easy to use, my 5 yr old can work the remote control. I bought a seprate set of brackets and yo-yo cable so now we just unclick the dvds and easliy click them into the other car. They are ready to go. They can watch their own show or the same. you can even unclick one and bring it in the house, they have a built in battery and a DC plug. I love them and I would tell a friend.

**THIS IS A WARNING TO ANYONE IN AUSTRALIA OR THE WORLD CONSIDERING TO BUY NEXTBASE PRODUCTS DO NOT BUY OR WASTE YOUR MONEY**

I purchased the Nextbase Click9 Duo Deluxe Dual 9' Screen Portable DVD players in June 2011 from Nextbase USA. I bought this product hoping the ancap safety meant this product has been built like no other system and that i would be able to enjoy years of quality use. Nextbase even had on there website that they believe every customer is a customer for life. Boy did i get sucked in. They are very helpful and respond quickly to any sales enquiry but thats where it ends. I am really surprised Ford US has Nextbase a supplier.

[Product Fault]

DVD frequently stops and keeps going back to the screen saver screen (Nextbase) then starts up again and then a couple of seconds later it does the same thing and especially if the road is a little bumpy and will also do if on a smooth road as well.

[When Product Fault first occurred]

Approximately April/May 2012 (10/11 months old within 12 month warranty period).

Originally thought it may have been a dirty or scratched DVD.

We don't use the DVD players every time we drive so it had been a few weeks between each time we used it and to try and trouble shoot the issue ourselves.

I first emailed Nextbase 17th July 2012 (Just after the 12 month warranty). At the time of my first point of contact with Nextbase via email, my Brother in Law (29 years old) had just passed away and as a result my email was a short overview of the issue and later realized I didn't detail the trouble shooting period. After several emails from me, Nextbase eventually did send out new Stanchion Mounts hoping this would resolve the issue. After 5 months of originally notifying Nextbase of the issue and waiting weeks/months for them to respond, on 29th November 2012 (5 months after advising the issue), I was finally requested by Nexbase to send the items back for full replacement (At no time has Nextbase indicated that it was not covered under warranty nor that I would incur any cost for the replacement or shipping). The cost to ship from Australia to Nextbase in the USA was $126 AU and Nextbase received the items on 13th December 2012.

Due to the continued lack of communication/nil follow up by Nextbase, I emailed a request for my complaint to elevated to a manager/director of Nextbase. On 27th December 2012 the Sales Manager from Nextbase emailed to advise that he has reviewed my complaint and that they have repaired the DVD player and have decided they will not replace the items or reimburse the cost of shipping or accept this under warranty and that it will cost me $60 US for the items to be shipped back to Australia.

On 28th December 2012 I have since emailed Nexbase disputing their decision to not cover under warranty and it is now the 1st February 2013 and i still have no response or resolution. 6 MONTHS WITHOUT ANY USE OF THE DVD PLAYER OR RESOLUTION IS APPALLING.

There is no after sales service and from my experience Nextbase is the most unreliable and dishonest company i have ever dealt with. Its a real shame as i really thought i was paying for a quality product backed by quality service

I hope this review saves you the pain i have and am currently experiencing.

Griffin PowerBlock Dual Universal Charger for MP3 Players and USB Devices (Black)

Griffin PowerBlock Dual Universal Charger for MP3 Players and USB Devices
  • Charge two USB devices at the same time from the same wall outlet
  • Charges Sansa, Creative, Zune, Samsung, iPod, iPhone, and most other MP3 players and devices that charge via USB
  • LED glows green to show PowerBlock is ready to charge
  • Non-polarized blades fold flat for storage
  • Works with AC outlets from 100V to 240V

Like most folks here, I am very happy with this charger, happy that it costs half as much as an apple-branded ipod charger yet has two USB jacks instead of one.

Some folks here have found this charger doesn't put out enough power for particular devices. Before purchasing this charger, it's a good idea to compare the power requirements for your device with the power this charger puts out.

The charger puts out 5.2 volts, and 500mA per USB port.

The charger also includes over-voltage protection and short circuit protection.

For more tech specs, see p.4 of the manual:

[Amazon deleted my link to the manual; I'll try to put it in a comment.]

Works as advertised for low-end devices. If your device charges _normally_ off of a computer's USB port (without a special driver), it should charge off of this. USB spec is up to 500mA per port (see wikipedia) so this product seems to be built to USB specs. However, newer and power hungry devices require more. In the case of the iPad (1st generation), it does charge off the computer, but very slowly. The iPad works best when using a 2100mA (2.1A) or greater charger.

(this only charged my motorola W376G tracfone when used with a special charge-only cable, which was included with the Belkin Dual USB and AC Wall Charger)

So far this has been an excellent charger. For those who care, essentially no power is consumed when the charger is plugged in but not charging. I tested it against my amp meter: 0.000 amps when not charging but green light showing, and around 0.0650 amps when charging my iPod. So you can leave this plugged in and not worry about consuming power when idling.

My PowerBlock was used infrequently (once a month or so) and lasted just over a year. The plastic holding the metal prongs/plugs cracked and one of the metal plugs no longer stays in... Griffen indicated that they could not help as the product was outside the warranty period. I can understand that, but I expected more from a lightly used product.

ALEKO® WG300 12-Volt 6-Blade 300 Watt Wind Generator With Charge Controller

ALEKO® WG300 12-Volt 6-Blade 300 Watt Wind Generator With Charge ControllerGudcraft WG300 I hooked it up to a new partially discharged 12 volt deep cycle battery at 12.74 VDC.

It's been hooked up for two weeks now and the battery voltage hasn't raised even a hundredth of a volt yet.

Not that the turbine hasn't been spinning, it has! It spins in a very mild wind; it just doesn't produce 12 volts until it is spinning so fast that you can't see the blades. I've had 15 MPH wind gusts with no charging. Tests I have run indicate it has to be spinning 4 to 5 revolutions per second to output 10 VDC.

That's about 250 RPM, and moving pretty quickly, above that speed the black dot Indicator I put on the center hub begins to blur and speed measurement becomes difficult. Fearing the unit was defective I took all the blades off and mounted it and spun it manually as fast as I could and managed to get it to 12 volts after a few tries, and finally up to 17 volts for a moment. So it is capable of putting out the proper voltage to charge a battery. Since I was only able to get it going that fast for a moment I was unable to measure the current output.

Today it's been windy all day and it's been spinning most of the time, but there has been no charging yet, save your money.

Update, today we had sustained 30 MPH winds with gusts up to 50MPH and the wind turbine was able to charge a single deep cycle battery from 12.75 volts up to 13.25 volts with a highest current of 0.7 amps. Since I'm not likely so see many days with these kind of winds, it falls very short of it's rated 300 watts or 25 amps. I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The wind speed was checked with a Lacross weather station anemometer. It rarely puts out 12 volts and so far never more than 1 amp. Actually today is the first time I was able to measure any current output at all. It's moving so fast today, I can't see the blades, they are just a blur.

Will not charge a 12V battery. We had this in 50 MPH winds, and the best we could get was 12.45V a fully charged flooded lead acid cell (car battery) is 14.6VDC (at room temp).

We tried two different units with the same result.

We connected it to an oscilloscope and we see a full wave rectified sine wave output with a peak voltage of 12.5V. So it does not appear to have bulk, absorption, float control which is really important if you want the battery to last for any length of time. I think the "charge controller" is noting more than a full wave retifier which is not going to maximize the battery life and/or fully charge the battery.

Might work to charge a 6V battery, but not a 12V battery. Even if you only have a 6V battery, you will still need a charge controller as connecting directly will overcharge the battery. Such a controller would necessarily have to deal with the voltage this device generates so it would likely have to be a custom one.

the wind generator is werking fine but laks the abilaty to charge more than two baterys at a time at low wind speeds it only poots out six volts and at higher wind speed it reches about ten volts i have yet to see it poot out 12V or more

I ordered this item to get us started on alternative energy. I/We already have Solar and during a "Major League" power outage last summer in San Diego all the way to Arizona and Mexico. We were the only one's with lights and refrigerator. This item does require alot of knowledge and man power. So if you lack these skills I wouldn't recommend it. But to those that do I'd highly recommend it. The sun doesn't shine at night and the 3 deep cycle batteries only last approx: 8 hours as I found out that night and there was no wind so we just made it through it but only had 3 small lights and the refrigerator.Good luck and if everyone did they're little part we might be able to put a dent into our "Energy Crisis"

Duracell My Pocket Charger for Ipod and BlackBerry, 2 Pack

Duracell My Pocket Charger for Ipod and BlackBerry, 2 Pack
  • Includes: 2 My Pocket Charges
  • 2 Connectors for iPod
  • 2 USB Connectors for BlackBerry
  • 4 AA Batteries
  • Charge your iPod and BlackBerry anytime, anywhere

Stumbled across this in a Costco, had no idea that it actually existed. The case says "iPod," but things that work with iPods frequently work with iPhones...

I used the phone to search online to find any reference to this thing working with the iPhone, and found absolutely nothing. I checked the store's return policy and chanced it.

Success.

If you plug it into your phone while you're listening to the iPod portion of your phone, it will think you've docked it and try to route the audio through the plug.

It will tell you "This product is not designed to work with the iPhone" or some such message asking you if you want to go to airplane mode. If you click no, the phone displays the "I'm charging" battery and begins to fill.

All of this on a product that isn't even officially supported. I'm sure it will work just as well with my iPod, which is supported.

One star taken away for the unfortunate glitch of not working with rechargable batteries.

My charger is very finnicky. I do not know if there is a problem with it or if I am doing something wrong. I threw away the instructions because I did not think I would need instruction on something like this.

First off...I paid much less than the Amazon price for the 2-pack at Costco.

When I put in new batteries and then connect the charger cord for my Blackberry a little green light comes on(or at least 75% of the time, the green light comes on) then I plug into my phone and the phone begins to charge. I have not been able to charger for more than 5 minutes ever! It will remain plugged in but the green light turns off and the phone stops charging. Sometimes the charger gets warm but never that hot. I have changed the batteries 3-4 times and it has never helped the issue.

I feel like I either have a faulty charger. I sold the other one in the pack of 2 so I dont know if that one works. Also with a little research I found today that Duracell does not manufacture these chargers. They just put their name on them to market them.

Here is the review from USA Today...they give more company info.

I am not saying don't buy...just saying be wary of this product. I have not had good luck with it

I bought this a year ago for that emergency time in the future when my iTouch ran out of juice on a long plane ride. Well, imagine my chagrin when I went to plug it in on a flight for the first time this week and it said "Charging Device Not Supported".

Thanks, Duracell.

I believe this product is manufactured by Xantrex and Duracell just puts its name on it. Well, guess what, I bought this hoping that I could just put rechargebable batteries in it (Duracell NiMh batteries, no less) and have a cheap source of back up power. Well, it didn't work out that way.

I, like many others here, bought at Costco in a 2 pack. I, like a couple others, apparently, had thought it would work with rechargeable batteries (Duracell rechargeables). It turns out that it doesn't work with rechargeable batteries and it turn out that it is a fairly finicky product altogether (read: poorly engineered and manufactured).

Duracell enjoys notariety as a well-respected high quality American brand and it definitely "dropped the ball" on this product. If you check out Duracell's website, however, you will notice that they are selling a newer line of products with LiIon batteries built in and they are sold (on Amazon, in fact) as a Duracell Powerhouse and Duracell Pocket USB chargers. You'll have to read the reviews for yourself (if you're even interested), but I'm guessing that these new products by incorporating a built-in LiIon battery may address the charging issues discoverd in this inferior Xantrex designed model.

This item does NOT work with all Blackberry devices. It comes with a mini USB only. That fact is omitted in all the info about it. If you need a micro USB connection, keep looking.
