I ordered this charger for my son to use with his iPod Touch (4G) when needing to charge in the house. It hooks up to his USB that came with the iPod. I paid more than double the price for my daughter's at our local store but they serve the same purpose so I would definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately, this charger only lasted for two days and one of the metal prongs came out and got stuck in our outlet. In the process of trying to return it but realized that I have to pay for the return shipping

which will probably cost more than the charger itself. I wouldn't purchase this item if I were you.
