I'm a rather big guy. So you see, I was looking for a STRONG step stool for 'just out of reach' situations around the house. Since the legs on this fold down, I figured to store it in the open in front of a cupboard. And it's fine for that ... with one minor drawback. When folded, the legs that touch the floor are uncovered metal (no protective or rubber covering). For fear of scratching the tile or hardwoods, I put a non-slip throw run under it when using it in the folded position. Of course, the manufacturer made this with the outdoors in mind, so...

Outside of that nitty little concern (and if just a tad pricey), it's terrific. Even with my large frame on it, the step gives no indication of strain whatsoever. If you're worried about climbing onto a flimsy stool, this one will give you confidence in your safety.

This platform step is very sturdy. I use it for osteoarthritis in the knee for exercise since it is multi positional. My original use was for getting in my husband's F250 truck since the step up is too high. I am a big person and it greatly meets the need. Folds up easily to take anywhere.
