- Frequency Range: 136-174 / 400-479.995 MHz.
- Upgrade the frame material. Metallic, more durable and more fashionable.
- With full high two colors LED definition display, the screen exquisite clarity.
- The New 2013 packing,more beautiful and quite well-done.
I like it.
I haven't had it out in the field yet, but it sounds good on the desk.
Only had it a month, so I cannot say if it will last.
good -
The price.
It's a bit smaller than the Yaesu FT60
new choices red color is awesome
it has more optional stuff added has a band button and an A/B switch, a v/m button, a call button,
Luckily a large group of hams have added their own software and such out on the web to help.
I had no problems putting the few parts together and getting the radio to work.
There are 2 frequencies displayed on the screen, and I have one set to the ham frequency now, and one on the FRS/GMRS frequency (nice setup).
bad -
seems more fragile than the Yaesu FT60
I haven't been able to figure out the short manual...at least it is not helpful at all.
The battery charger station seems cheap... you have to seat the radio in it...you don't have a plug in type attachment. I just unplug it and re-plug it to get it to start charging the internal rechargeable battery(indicator red light turns green after charged).
I don't see a way to use disposables.
