Overall the CLS1450CB is a great radio/phone combo that meets my needs. When looking at this product remember it is a radio FIRST and a phone second. For this reason, the phone features are fairly basic and the radio range far surpasses the cordless phone range. I'll break it down into two parts:

Radio Standard UHF 1W 4CH

If you are familiar with the Motorola CLS1110 & CLS1410 then you will notice the same design and features built into this radio. The form factor is slightly larger than the traditional CLS series radio but uses the same charger, batteries, and audio accessories. The quality is also slightly better than the CLS1110 and CLS1410 radios and has a larger screen with 4 lines of text. Standard features found in the CLS1410 are included in this model such as scan and 4 total channels. Range is on par with other low power UHF radios (couple floors in building, 1/4-1 mile outdoors) should cover a warehouse perfectly fine which I think these would be great for.

Phone 2.4ghz Cordless FHSS

The phone function of this device is pretty straight forward and offers all of the basic features found on today's cordless handsets (Flash/Talk, End, Redial, CID, Call Waiting, Speaker phone, nice screen, etc.) Ringtones are a nice mix of loud and soft/musical and you have the choice of ten tones. Phone is 2.4ghz but does NOT interfere with wireless internet since it is FHSS (frequency hopping spread spectrum) this means the phone and base are constantly moving to clear frequencies as you talk or the phone sits idle, all seamlessly without you noticing. Every once in a while the handset will say "searching for base" for a few seconds and then re-register. I have never been bumped off a call or experienced the "searching for base" during a phone call. Range is adequate but certainly not as far as the radio range. Mount the base up in a high location (like in a warehouse) and you will easily get the stated range. I use this setup in an office where we use the CLS radios to communicate, only I have the CLS radio & phone. The base is located on the first floor and I can walk outside and go about 50-100ft before the signal starts breaking up. It quickly gets worse until you can't hear the other person clearly and must walk back into range. Overall very happy with the rangethose users who really need to roam their property, use the phone in multi-story buildings, or need clear communciations 2 blocks from the office should look at the DuraFon by Engenius.

Overall happy with my purchase and would recommend to other businesses who are already using the complimentary CLS two-way radios.
