Although the item sent is correct for the Stratosphere, the photo shown by the seller is incorrect. It appears to be for the Samsung Gallaxy SII which has a center cut-out for the camera. The Stratosphere's camera is to the side. There is also an opening in this mount to accommodate the phone's speaker.
The automatic Vehicle Mode is very good and a safer option. I like the simplified number of larger icons that appear when the square power lock block is lifted to engage with the phone.
Suction cup is very strong. The Dash Mount Pad is a round black disc with 3M adhesive to stick to the dash. If mounting to the windshield no dash mount pad is needed.
Power cord attaches at the back of the lock block. Also located in the back is the input for the stereo 3.5mm line-out for auxiliary output. This cord is not included. Wish my car had the 3.5mm jack. I would buy the cord.
If you have another car you would like to dash-mount the vehicle mount, I purchased on Amazon the ARKON AP013 Adapter Plate 80mm Circular Adhesive Dash / Console Disc with 3M Adhesive. Very inexpensive at under $3.00. There is a 90mm Arkon disc listed on Amazon so note it's the 80mm one you want.
Very pleased with this purchase. This item was received quickly and good order; it included the phone holder/clip, suction mount and adhesive mount. The suction mount is pretty darn solid, and you can adjust the holder/clip to any position or angle.
btw, Thanks to other reviewers who posted their own pictures to confirm this was indeed for the Stratosphere. The picture provided by the Seller does not represent the correct mount (though it is quite similar).
Buy Samsung ECS-K1E6BEGSTA Verizon SCH-i405 Vehicle Mount - Car Kit - Retail Packaging - Black Now
Earlier reviews stated surprise that the kit included a vehicle charging cable. Regrettably, that apparently is no longer the case as mine came without it. Initially I purchased this same item from Verizon when I purchased my new phone. The instructions stated that the kit came with a suction mount, a bracket and an auto converter charger. The fine print stated that actual components vary by region. I found that odd, as the only thing that can vary is the charger. I cannot imagine many customers finding the vehicle mount to be very usefull without the suction mount or the bracket. I took the mount back to the Verizon store, where the sales associate was amazed that the instructions stated that a charger was included. She stated that she had never seen one included before. I asked her to confirm that Verizon intentionally charged $39.99 for a couple of chunks of plastic, and she kind of bit her lip and shrugged. She did point out that I got it for $30 on sale because I was getting it with the new phone. I told her that she could keep it and returned it for a $32 refund. I then went online and got this. Even without the charging cable, it is a much better deal than you will get from Verizon. One other thing. You do have to remove any case you may have purchased for your phone as the bracket is made to fit your phone exactly. The suction mount is very solid, and you can adjust the bracket to just about any orientation, and then lock it there by tightening the adjustment collar. It is a well-engineered mount. The product arrived in a timely manner.
Looked great and really sturdy.
But my Samsung Stratosphere didn't fit.
I later realized it was because of the protective case I had on it.
I have sent it back and ordered one that adjusts so that I can keep my protective case on the phone. This mount is very easy to set-up and makes it safer for calls in the car. Also comes with car charger which is not mentioned in the product description
