i purchased these because i couldn't get recharble batteries for my older motorola radios and the salesperson at cabellas sold me on them low and behold they were backordered. i was heading to maine for deerhunting so i checked with amazon and they had them.very confusing instructions, not to mention all the goofy beeps i can't get rid of. the worst part is i don't know how they ever got the 35 mile range ? Got what I expected for a good price. When it arrived, I was surprised how light the package was and wondered about the quality. However it all has worked flawlessly. The AC charger is very handy to charge it up before a trip, or for a walking trip. The car charger is a back-up. You should be aware that when you use it, you loose the traffic feedback for the NUVI 1350 since the FM receiver is integrated into the original car charger and it is not included in the one that comes with this package. I gave my dad the Garmin GPS as a gift and threw this in as almost an afterthought when it popped up on Amazon as one of the "Items most often purchased" list. I thought, for such a cheap price, what's to loose? I guess in this case there was little to gain, because these apparently worked for a while but the home plug in has long since stopped working. I guess that is the gamble you make in buying cheaper, off brand products. I have done it in the past with chargers for cell phones with a lot of success, so maybe this particular type is bad, or I just got the unlucky bad apple. Buy with few hopes!

I bought the 12/24 jump and carry in 2005. I am a heavy equipment mechanic so the 24v has come in handy so many times to numerous to list. I have powered large inverters to power grinders and drills of of this thing. Pretty much everything you buy now if you don't treat it with velvet gloves its junk in a week. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT ONE OF THEM! I have not taken care of this thing at all and every year I expect the worst; It'll finally give up the ghost. Its been 7 years now and this year after sitting flat all winter inside the toolbox of my seldom used pickup I plugged it in last week and today I used it to start my diesel trencher and it worked as good as the day I bought it. The only negtive I can thing of is the way the handle that you pull out to switch voltage is orientated to the body. If the jumpstart gets banged around a lot the handle will break off. I am rating this product 3 stars. My experience with this product was not one of disappointment but from an engineering or design aspect, one where a good product could be a great product, except for one small detail. I would recommend this product to others with one caveat: Before you use the product, unscrew the nose cap (pointed end) off of the plug, add some super glue to the threaded portion and re-attach the nose. Let it cure for a bit before you ever insert it into your car outlet jack. I am an engineer and I notice things from an engineering perspective. This product failed the first time I used it. It is mostly well designed and I love the fact that it is fused to protect your car's electrical system from an overload and I also liked the locking feature in the plug whereby you can lock the angle of the plug in a certain position. All of that works well. The one thing that I would consider a design flaw is the spring pushing the positive electrode outward is way too strong. The threads for the tip are very fine and the spring ( at least in my experience) causes the nose portion to strip out of the threads and in my case, break off the threaded portion, rendering the device useless. Oh, I have ordered another one, but next time I'll make this one modification. I hope the manufacturer takes note of this flaw and redesigns with a less aggressive spring. So far, so good...it works like a champ out of the box. I haven't loaded up all 4 ports yet, but it handles the two cigarette-type plugs fine. Nice blue LED lets you know it's working, and I like having the circuit breaker there to protect my devices in case of a surge. The swivel adapter has a lot of intermediate settings the picture doesn't show, so you can position it where you like. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's just a little bulky and I wish the plug was in the middle instead of on the side.

I've had this product installed in my garage for 14 months and have had no problem with it. It interfaces perfectly with the timer on my Leaf to insure that I charge during off-off-peak hours without fail. If the ultimate goal here is to have legions of EV's out there then critical accessories such as this charger (must have item for any EV owner) must cost much less than I had to pay here ($1,100 incl. shipping), and the unit must be professionally installed (could easily cost another grand). My electrician was able to install this charger very easily. The cord is quite long so accommodates my driveway with tandem parking. I use it to charge my Chevy Volt. It was a lot cheaper than the cheap GE product that Chevy referred me to after getting my own installation. If you have a washer/dryer nearby then it will be easy to access the 240V. Very happy and it also is fully sealed in the rain. Highly recommended.

This light's beam is more flood than spotlight and does not do well for "painting with light". When painting with light you want a beam that pops onto your subject, not one the fill the subject with light. This light will be given to my son and I'll be looking for a spotlight. One that has no more than a 1-2 ft spotlight from 20 feet away.
I purchased this item to attach to the zipper on my jacket. When I got it and removed it from the packaging card I found that the back is not enclosed with plastic. It is really a cheap piece of junk.
