Ballistic Performance claims that these batteries have a capacity of 28 amp-hours, but the actual capacity is about a third of that. Based on the claims of the manufacturer, I foolishly purchased two of these batteries expecting to get at least 25 amp-hours out of each of them. After a good break-in period of 8 partial discharge / full recharge cycles (using the Ballistic Performance balance charger), the capacity of both batteries is around 9.5 amp-hours. This was measured with a Watts-Up meter during discharge, and the balance charger confirmed the results at the end of the charge. After 9.5 amp-hours of discharge (at 3.5 amps) the voltage was 10.3V and dropping fast, which indicates that they were, indeed, at the end of their capacity.

My battery died on my bagger and the dealer wanted $185 plus tax for a replacement. I decided to take a chance and try something new so I ordered this Lithium Ferrous Phosphate battery from Amazon (Mueller Motorsports). It arrived in 5 days and when I picked up the box I thought it was empty!! It only weighs 3 lbs! I was worried that it would be bouncing around in my battery tray since it is so much smaller and lighter so I cut up an old mousepad made of neoprene and lined the bottom of the battery tray with that. Then I used the packing foam that came with the battery to secure it in place and hold it from vibrating. So far I have 800 miles on it and it works good, but it takes a little while to get it to wake up in the morning, kind of like my wife ;)

All in all I think it is a good investment and the weight savings alone is really awesome. So far so good!!

Needed to change the battery on my 2006 electra glide the stock battery finally died :-( I decided to try newer technology. The battery weighs nothing compared to the old one the Geezer Glides starts in 19 degree weather no problems with no battery tender attached. Made room in my battery compartment for almost all the relays I have for all the electrical adds I've installed.

I still have the original battery in my 2004 Mean Streak and I almost hope it finally dies so I can put one on that scooter too.

I'll never use a lead acid battery on any of my bikes again.

Big Game 12V Feeder Solar Panel

Great panel for the price. I bought it for another brand feeder not knowing it had a plug in connection instead of clip on connections. It had a green and white wire, so I did not know which was positive and negative. I sent the manufacture an email and they responded the same day letting me know the green was positive so I could cut off the connector and put on clips. Great customer service.

My main reason for purchasing this product was to add to my total puchases so i would get free shipping. However, i am extremely happy with this product. I bought this item when my ipod mini decided to get a brain and shut off at random times claiming dead battery. Plugged the tune juice into the dock port, and voila! Music for hours and hours..The 9-volt battery is a little wierd, but if it works, it works. The Griffin Tune Juice is an accessory for your iPod that extends the playing life of the iPod. It runs on a 9v battery and connects to the iPod via the docking port. I have also used the Belkin Backup Battery Pack for iPod w/ Dock Connector. The Belkin product uses 4 AA batteries and has suction cups that actually connect the pack to the iPod. I find the Belkin product better for my circumstances for a number of reasons. Having received this item as a gift, I decided to do a few tests with it and my ipod video 30gb. First I ran a movie, medium sound volume, on my ipod alone with it fully charged. It lasted 137 minutes (2 hours, 17 min.). Then I *fully* recharged the ipod and plugged it into the TuneJuice with a brand new 9v. On the same set of movies, it lasted 202 minutes (3 hours, 22 minutes). So you'd get about an hour of extra power. Not bad for the price.

However, there are some things to consider. This is a one shot deal: when the ipod battery runs out, you will not be able to use the TuneJuice to recharge it. The 9v is not powerful enough to run the ipod by itself, and so the ipod will be draining both the TuneJuice and its own battery simultaneously. The ipod battery will drain faster than the 9v and run out before it.

The next day, we tested the 9v we used and it was still good. So you will be able to use the same 9v more than once.

So bottom line: in order to get the full use of the TuneJuice, you have to plug it in when the ipod battery is fully charged. Once the ipod's battery runs out, which it will, the TuneJuice is useless no matter how many 9v batteries you have with you or how charged they are. You will have to recharge your ipod battery.

It's good, then, if you only need your ipod video to last that extra hour and no longer.

For anybody who has a video ipod (I have the 30g model), this is a must if you want to watch videos on your ipod and your travel time is likely to take more than 2 hours.

I also carry an extra 9v battery, just in case.

I've had absolutely no problems with this unit and use it constantly on planes.

I purchased this camera based on some third party reviews I found not realizing this and some others are copy-cat models of the original GS1000 dash cam.

While I'm still learning and beginning to use the camera, the instructions are not much more than a how-to that means nothing until you figure out that the buttons are used in pairs, multiples to access certain menu/functions. My Windows7 operating system does not recognize this device nor does the supplied "driver" cd provide any driver or software that can be used to view/update drivers or firmware. Essentially you're on your own trying to get this to work with your laptop...I actually had better luck on the tv. This device might be easier to use if it came with a remote like some other models since this device was clearly made outside of the United States therefore not US centric design. Since I just now figured out how to manipulate the buttons to get to the menu functions, I'm still hopeful that I will be able to find some software that is compatible with this device to allow firmware/driver updates when needed and also allow me to view the captured images without using an SD card adapter since this camera uses a micro SD card.

I'm a highly technical person so if you're not, you may want to consider something more user-friendly.

I got this dashboard camera from the shipper in good time. I read the instructions. Got the camera out and set it up on the computer, it would not come on. The light said it had power so I left it to charge for a bit. For the program to review it with the map, if you do not know much about computers you may have a bit of a problem installing the program. So a few hours later it still did not work. Next day I set it up in the car and that is when it worked. I could not get to the Menu to setting to work in the car. So I drove for the day with the way it was from the box and return home, took the camera out of the car. Set it up on the computer, It came on this time. The instructions dos not help in the menu at all. I tried to change the length of recording time. But it dos mot show it in minutes. I also tried to change the speed read out from Kilometers miles per hour which I could not accomplish. The quality of the video for the day is good, but at night was not so good. The GPS and map function when working is way off about 80 to 100 miles. I have the unit for over a week now the battery in it is no good. I have not been able to get back into the menu since the first time. I have had to put on the camera several times while driving. It somehow turns itself off. And last of all the video recording is not reliable. This is why I got the camera in the first place. I like it for the size and what it does. But it does not do what the manufacture says it does. I would not recommend it.

I have attached a video that was set to record for 15 minutes, but this is how long it has recorded several times in a row. two short less 33 seconds and one just over 2 minutes.

I bought a GS1000 with GPS logger from E_bay for around $90. Worked great. Picture quality was great and low light performance was good. I liked it so much that I decide to get another one from E_bay. Since I didn't need the GPS logger function, I decide to get the GS1000 without GPS for around $45.

There are many "GS1000" without the GPS for sale on E_bay. Almost all of them are less than $50. Some of these advertised as 1.3M sensors. At least these sellers are honest. Other of these "GS1000" (without the GPS) advertise them with 5M sensor. I was careful to buy the one with 5M sensor. Well, big disappointment, the picture quality is not even close to the real GS1000 and when lights gets a bit dim, the camera is recoding nearly completely black due to the inferior sensor.

So be careful of the the "GS1000" without the GPS logger on E_bay and elsewhere.

4 stars for the real GS1000 and 1 star for the fake ones.

I got one a few years ago and now I need another for my second bike. These come with a good long cord and it is made from good rubber so you can step on it without damage. The connector you put on the bike is made from same tough stuff and it has ring lugs already. They really made this for Bikes or Lawn tractors. The connector is easy to undo and cover with the cover on a tether attached to cord on bike. Even if cover comes off, the positive is still completely covered so no fear of shorts unless you let the cord get into the chain or lay against an exhaust pipe. The charger will do a 6v battery as well. I mounted a power strip on wall and I tie wrap the Xciter cubes to the strip. These have 3 LEDs showing 1) it on, 2) its charging a low battery, and 3) battery is charged so it is float charging the batterymaintaining. By the way, using one of these will really stretch the life you get from a lead acid battery. The acid in a battery starts sulfating the lead plates when the plate doesn't have an electrical chargeso keeping a charge on them will make them live.

My Ford F150 was only a couple of months old when I had to replace my battery because I forgot to pull the plug on the dash camera from the cigarette lighter plug (non switched), my bad. After installing a new battery, I decided a float charger was in order and bought this one. It was delivered in good time. The Xciter 5-Stage 900mA Charger/Maintainer is plugged into the wall of my garage and the cigarette lighter adapter (sold at extra cost) into the lighter plug inside the truck. Obviously that won't work for switched plugs. It was easy to wire up to my solar panel, battery, and charger. It is what you need if you want to wire up your own solar light. It will control the battery charging during the day and then turn your light on at night.

I would have scored this higher except the documentation is lacking, the LED display does not seem to provide a useful function, and there is a intermittent switch that is also undocumented and does not seem to do anything.

If the LED showed the solar panel voltage or battery voltage I would have rated it another star.

I've been using Odyssey batteries in my vehicles for about 2 years now. They are SO much better than the old-school lead acid dinosaurs that are still the most common automotive and marine battery type in use today.

These AGM batteries last longer, hold a stronger charge, hold their charge longer, and emit no harmful fumes. Yes, they are expensive but you get-what-you-pay-for as the saying goes.

Be mindful of the brand you purchase for any battery. For example, Optima brand batteries used to be of high quality and manufactured in the USA, however they are now made in China or Mexico, depending on the battery. I've read reviews of customers of these batteries who have found the product to be less durable and with a shorter lifespan than previous Optima batteries.

Combine that with the warranty and the fact that it's U.S.-made and you've got a tremendous product. This car charger fell apart the second time I used it. The end that plugs into the phone broke in half while trying to disconnect it from the phone. It is truly a piece of junk. I guess you get what you pay for. My mistake.
