I bought this battery as a replacement for a Verizon FIOS telephone powerfail backup after the original battery died after several years of use. The battery cost about half of the original equipment replacement battery, and works just fine.Read Best Reviews of UPG UB1280 F2 12V 8Ah APC SmartUPS 1400RM 2200RM3U Battery Here
After digging around on the 'net for a battery to replace the dead one in my CyberPower 350 UPS, I decided to give this unit a shot. (I may have actually ordered a slightly different model [eg, 7aH instead of 8 or 9]).The unit arrived quickly, and fit no problem. I charged the UPS for ~8 hrs and then tested it to see how long it would light a 60-watt lamp. The lamp stayed lit for at least 45 minutes (if memory serves), and that's certainly long enough for the UPS to keep my computer devices charged for a typical 5 minute power outage, I figure.
I've got a couple more UPSes with dead batteries and I'll be buying them from Chrome/UB.

I used these to replace the batteries in both of my APC Back-UPS ES-550's. Very inexpensive, compared to the battery that APC sells, more ampacity and the first one, on this computer system, has lasted several years already. The one for this review went into the UPS for the TV/DVR/cable box, just recently, and it works great, as well. I haven't found a better bargain to replace the batteries in my uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).If you order this product from The Battery Geek you will not receive the F2 version. The only difference is the terminal width, the F2 is the wider by the way. They will ship adapters if you ask though. On my first order one of the batteries leaked and they replaced it with no hassles. Both orders were not F2. I am happy with the service and the product but you can save a few bucks and just order the plain 1280. All 4 batteries were well packed, fully charged and despite one leaking (manufacturing defect I think as it seeped slightly from the seam while installed) I would order from The Battery Geek again but just the plain 1280.
