It feels solid, and best of all, you do not have to unplug the device to turn it off. There is a switch on the bezel. The only minor fault I can find with it is that it doesn't quite fit a standard cupholder, but that is easily remedied with the use of a wedge or a cheap 3rd party cupholder from your local auto parts store. I liked it so much, I bought 2 of them. :)

I bought this inverter so that I could use my laptop in my car without running out of battery (as a passenger of course). It works fantastic. It's a good size, and I've used it on two different laptops, my iPod with the USB connector, my GPS with the car adapter, and my phone charger with the car adapter. I think the best part about it is that it has the car adapter on it, so when you're using up the cigarette lighter in the car, it's not impossible to plug something else in, like my GPS. I've never had a problem with it, it works perfectly and I've owned it for a while now, almost a year. I highly recommend it, it's a great value!Read Best Reviews of I-Tec T2022 200 Watt Cup Holder Travel Power Inverter with USB Port Here
I absolutely love the Travel Power Inverter. It supplies enough continous power to pull our cd player as long as needed. It fits in the cup holder fairly well, but I did have to find a wedge to keep it from turning over which was not a big problem. Overall, I highly recommment this product.Want I-Tec T2022 200 Watt Cup Holder Travel Power Inverter with USB Port Discount?
I dont know what happened. It worked really good. I conntected laptop charger and it worked really good.
I connected external harddisk, within a minute, it burned, smoked and lots of smoke came out and
had potential to cause fire.
There was panic, good that we dint move the car.
We unplugged and took it out, car smelled burnt driving back.
Car's fuse rating is less than the fuse rating of the inverter, that means the overload would not occur as the car's fuse will blow.
I guess the transients of the external harddisk caused the problem, the product says it is HV protected, but i doubt that. This is the reason I gave to Amazon when I returned it:
When I try to plug in my laptop, the inverter stops working. I even tried to just plug in the cord without the laptop plugged in and it stopped working!
