I ordered this battery pack because my car lighter doesn't work. So far it works perfectly, I'm using rechargeable batteries which don't last as long as regular alkalines, but I got at least 8 hours of use before I had to change them out. I would have given it 5 stars, but the cord that runs to the unit is only six inches long. This affects how and where I'm going to mount the GPS in my car. If they had made it at least a foot long it would have been perfect.

Update: 2/27/12 I had a problem with the original battery pack, it had developed a loose connection somewhere and wasn't charging my GPS anymore. I contacted Gomadic and they told me the item had a lifetime warranty and they replaced it very quickly. I highly recommend doing business with this company.
