I purchased this product to be used as a trash can for our RV so it could be stowed compactly when not in use. As a trash can, it obviously needs a trash liner and with the liner hanging out over the the top, you cannot zip the trash away but it is still an effective portable container. It would be great for the college student to bring dirty laundry home in.
