The Kenwood is pretty nice. I had it installed in my Benz and its OMG!! the clarity of it is simply astounding. I also had a rear camera installed and when its active you would think your watching a movie in 1080... The monitor is a very nice size and since it was nicely installed it looks like it came standard. When the Navigation is on and you have music playing it really does practically mute the music to give the directions that are required. In that aspect it is much better than the previous Kenwood (the one with the flipout screen). It was definately worth the purchase. Just make sure you dont get it at Car toys directly the best price was here on amazon. I also got the steering wheel control and that works great also...Make sure you add the ipod connector. I havent figured out how to do the split screen yet....but it does show semi nav on the bottom of the screen when you have it on audio and vice versa on Nav it shows the music at the bottom.

Very nice looking electronic. almost a perfect unit with all the accesories. 6.1" screen, Garmin GPS, Traffic Receiver, DVD Player, AUX connection, Ipod compatible, USB connection, HD Radio, Satellite Radio, Bluetooth and Rear view camera. The darkside of this unit is the software, it is not as fast as you may like and also look kind of old. The bluetooth does not work very well, if you want to use it you will have to sync your phone every time that you turn on the car.

Overall is a good unit; i hope after i do some updates start working better.

After keeping this on the shelf for many, many weeks, I finally got this installed in Malaysia. The units sold by the local distributor (DNX-5360)is close to double the price! Made it a no-brainer!

The initial installation was relatively trouble free with the exception of the mapping function. It was loaded with the USA map and my installer could not load malfreemaps on it. After a week of calling Singapore and the USA, the local Kenwood distributor managed to help me out. It now works like a charm. It's freshened up my Ford Escape and I love the unit! Still trying to make the videos in the USB flash drive work but I'm not too worried about that as I have the iPod as the main media source.

So, the 'but'...

Under 'heavy load', the Nav function crashes! I dunno if it's just my unit coz of the local map, but when I try to get it to do a lot of searches and the like, it just says G'night!!! Nothing a reset doesn't cure but not something one has to do regularly, fortunately!

Otherwise, double thumbs-up!!

At first I purchased this product because I managed to catch it on sale at Amazon. After some investigating, it turned out to be a great after market system. The GPS is provided by Garmin, which is OK and sufficient for my needs (I wish traffic updates were included!). What was very surprising about this product was the sound quality without the use of any amplifier aside from what is built in. The Toyota factory stereo was very "quiet and muted" and I was never satisfied with it. Once I listened to a CD on this car stereo, I was impressed. Crisp and clear voice and string instruments come through, and there is a good amount of bass felt at low volume levels, all with the default factory six-speaker system (no sub).

The iPod integration is great, but the user interface is different than what I was used to on the iPod touch itself. Occasionally the iPod controls are unresponsive, so I have to turn the Kenwood unit off and on. I have not tried to watch a DVD on it, and I have not hooked up the Sirius receiver to it yet, but I expect the experience will be fantastic if the GPS and iPod functions are any example.

The refurbished GPS arrived faster than estimated. It is a great unit and works fine. Easy to install and easy to use.
