When I first bought this item I connected it to my garden tractor battery after it had sat all winter without being disconnected or charged. I left it on the battery for about 6 weeks. When I first tried to start the tractor it fired up like it was a brand new battery. The battery kept and maintained a new battery function for the next season also. I now have it connected to my RV battery and it is 4 years old and acts like I was brand new. The RV was last used in November and it is now close to the 1st of March and my battery is still fully charged and in good working order.
