Ok so I got something similar that directly put my GPS on power sync mode so I was unable to use while driving. But here's a trick that might work depending on your GPS.Turn on you car, plug the charger in your car (in the cigarette lighter adapter) but don't plug it to your GPS yet.
Turn on your GPS, when you see the battery sign on the top right of your screen (the sign that shows how much battery is left) touch that sign for about 8 seconds, your GPS should turn to diagnostic mode, plug your charger to the GPS then press exit, your GPS should now work as usual!
You will have to do this every time, but it only takes a few seconds to do all this....
Hope this helps...

Classic charger, it does the job, no complaints at all. It worked for my GPS and I'm happy with it. Have not tested in other products rather then my Nuvi GPS.Want eForCity GPS Car Charger for Garmin Nuvi 200W 250W 360 660 1350T Discount?
This is a very good charger for your money. Micro USB port fits well in Nokia N8 and Blackberry. Holds the device firm.Long coiled cable is useful if you wish to have your device a bit closer to yourself, or, coil back to dashboard when you don't.The key issue is the length of the cable, but customer service is good. They made replacement twice, but still the same story.
