What else can I say? It's a 12v Aux power hookup and does what it's supposed to do, it's well made, easy to install if you know what you're doing and the spring closure is good and strong. Plenty of wire for most applications. Just remember, if you want it to be fused, you need to either hook it up via an existing fusebox or purchase an inline fuse seperately.Read Best Reviews of RoadPro RPPS-16ES 12-volt Auxiliary Power Port or Outlet Here
I made a bracket to mount the power socket under the dash in my Tracker boat. The unit comes with plenty of wire and works great as a source to plug in my hand held spotlight. If you are handy with tools, you will be able to easily install this device. I used the under dash fuse block as a power source for the unit and connected it to an appropriate amp fuse.Want RoadPro RPPS-16ES 12-volt Auxiliary Power Port or Outlet Discount?
The first time I inserted a plug into this receptacle it pulled out the inner metal sleeve when I pulled out the plug. For the price, it was not worth shipping it back so I just glued the metal sleeve back in place. Now it works fine. Not a great product but then again it isn;t very expensive either. I rate it "Ok for the price".This socket is perfect for anyone looking to match this to a motorcycle. It come just as it looks in the picture and I cannot be any happier with the quality and shipping time. Easy to mount with the low profile plastic mount. The spring loaded lip is amazingly tough and tight fitting, I find that if you put it on a motorcycle that vibrates as we all know, the little extra pressure on whatever you plug into it keeps it from backing out and causing a false connection. BUUUUY it nowif you are looking to get something like this.
