The Battery Tender 10W solar panel worked well for 7 months. Now the control unit has apparently failed and the charging LED only flickers occasionally. I was propping the panel against the inside of the windshield of my parked car where it could receive direct sunlight in the afternoon, but even when the sunlight was indirect, the LED charging indicator on the Battery Tender would glow as soon as the sun was fully up in the morning. The car in question doesn't get driven enough to keep its battery from running down, and the solar panel was doing an excellent job of maintaining the battery. I had purchased an adapter cable that plugged into the car's cigarette lighter socket so it wasn't too inconvenient to set up and remove the panel. I like to know the required mounting dimensions however, main product photo, as it appears to be rectangular shaped, how can this render to 17x17x3? 3 inch depth? are you searious? do i or someone need an eye exam posting their oem products with sloppy details? it seems oem resellers are becoming sloppier time after time and liquidate their last holding inventory...
