I bought one of these in 2009. I used this on several time vacations for about a year. It worked fine for that period. It then developed some loose connections inside which caused it to only work if you held it in place, which is very impractical.

My next one will be a unit with a cord that separates the main body from the cigaratte lighter plug. I figure that that way the unit won't giggle around so much.
