The radio is great, it has very good duality sound. But it came with some issues:

One of the radio was almost all the time receiving static, then I changed in the store, but I founded the same issue, so I took the two good radios and leave the two bads ones.

I live in the city, so the maximum range was like a kilometer or 1000 meters. But after that it is a good product.

Thought this would be a great gift for my children. They charge and stay charged well and the reception is very good, but one of the unit always makes continuous static after you release the talk button.

We bought these so our kids could keep in contact with us when they are out and about in the neighborhood. We couldn't get them to work past 2 miles or so, but to be honest, we didn't really try that hard either. I imagine if you played with it a bit you could make it work farther.
