Go Power! GP-TS 30 Amp Prewired Transfer Switch for Quick Connect

Go Power! GP-TS 30 Amp Prewired Transfer Switch for Quick Connect
  • Prewired 30 amp automatic transfer switch
  • Plug and play installation
  • Made for use with inverter, shore power or generators
  • Extra outlet wired for charger
  • Delay switch for use with generators

As the instructions make clear, this transfer switch is positioned for use in RVs

or for powering boats on shore or off. I wouldn't know the details of that because I have neither.

What I need is a transfer switch that powers a sump pump from either AC house power or from

my inverter running off of a bank of batteries. The message here is that this is that transfer

switch. You just have to decode the instructions written for RVs and boats into this sump pump application.

And of course, if it works for my sump pump, then it works for RVs and boats.

Also, by the way, the inverter I am using is also from Go Power! and I am very happy

with it as well. It did a great job for me when Hurricane Sandy knocked out my power

for 11.5 days.

CTEK UC 800 6V Smart Battery Charger

CTEK UC 800 6V Smart Battery Charger
  • Includes two interchangeable connection leads, one with clamps, and one with eyelet terminals; 5 year limited warranty
  • Four step, automatic switch charging, that allows for easy, convenient, no-watch battery charging
  • Charges 6-volt lead-acid batteries (Wet, MF, Gel and AGM) from 2Ah to 32Ah (charging), 12-100Ah (maintenance)
  • Maintenance pulse charging increases battery life and gives superb performance, and patented desulphation functionality allows for the recovery of slightly sulphated batteries
  • Compact design with mounting holes allows for permanent assembly, and the charger to be connected for months, makes this charger ideal for vintage cars, motorcycles, other vehicles with 6V batteries up to 100Ah

Quality 6 volt chargers are hard to find and I was a bit skeptical about this one but am glad I purchased it. I have an antique car, 6 volts, that takes a good amount of power to start. Regular maintainers left me with an OK battery but not enough to turn the motor well. I always had to use a 6 volt jumper battery as well to start. This guy took a while to get things in order, but now the car starts with ease. I was concerned for a period of weeks because the light never moved from the center and I thought perhaps it was not working. However it eventually turned green and I was very please with my battery power.

As others have mentioned, put the right size rings on the harness! It should be obvious to the manufacturer that these rings are too small and we have to replace or drill to make work with most battery clamp bolts.

I recommend this unit for older 6 volt cars and I am sure it would be excellent for those applications where less amperage is needed.

The chargers come with nice leads for connecting to the battery, but a few issues for my installation. I take it this is designed for a motorcycle or something similar, as the length of the bolt-on lead to the quick-connector is short, like 14", so forget trying to get the connector out of the engine bay. I'm hooking up to antique cars and we need like 3' of lead. Plus, the connector is 1/4" and a 5/16" minimum is needed to go over the battery clamps on my applications, so the connectors did not do the job and I will have to try to fabricate some new ones with longer leads -

I have not used long enough to rate the charging systems but hopefully that is worked out. I'm going to ask the MFG for a longer lead and 12 volt style batter connectors for my applications, see how they react.

The car charger works great! I have not spent a lot of time using the wall charger because I also have the dvr dock. But even with that the first time fully charging the Archos 605 took over 14 hours. A must have for travel.

The idea of tip exchange is pretty ingenious, but unfortunately the concept that makes this product so appealing is also its biggest engineering flaw. The exchangeable tip introduces a point-of-failure to an otherwise solid product. I have used mine for my Archos in my car for less than a month when the car charger ceased to charge my product. When I looked into why, I noticed the tip had become loose and moved around with only the slightest pressure from my thumb. I took the tip inside to try it on the wall charger, which also did not work. When I jiggled the tip around to try and re-seat the connection, the tip began to smoke. This tip is now in the trash. This may not be a typical experience, but beware the poor design of this product.

I love my Archos 605 WiFi, but I'm not very happy with the way Archos limits their software and accessories for the 5 series. If they even offer a power accessory like this one, it's hard to find and usually quite a bit more expensive than what I paid for this kit. The kit works very well, and the tip exchange options help keep costs down. Nice job Gomadic!

Griffin iTrip Universal FM Transmitter and Charger for MP3 Players

Griffin iTrip Universal FM Transmitter and Charger for MP3 Players
  • Compatible with all MP3 players
  • Uses built-in, USB-rechargeable lithium-ion battery for hours of play
  • Three user-programmable presets save the best frequencies for quick access later
  • User-selectable stereo or mono output lets you tailor playback to the recording
  • Quick setup and easy frequency selection for fuss-free audio streaming

I love this transmitter! When I first got it, I was disappointed that it seemed like you could not transmit in the best frequency of 87.9, but then I figured it out:

To change it to international mode (with the frequency 87.9 and so forth) all you have to do is hold the preset button for about 15 seconds, and the US will start flashing. Then you just hit the plus or minus to change to international mode, and voila! You now have the much coveted 87.9 frequency!

Since this transmitter will always be usable for any future mp3 player that I can imagine, (they are all going to have to have headphone jacks, right?) this means:

THIS IS THE LAST TRANSMITTER YOU WILL EVER HAVE TO BUY!

End of story. Get it. Now.

Buy Griffin iTrip Universal FM Transmitter and Charger for MP3 Players Now

As an iPhone owner it took months for us to find a FM transmitter that gave us the ability to use our iPhone's iPod music capability in the car. Yes, this item is compatible with iPhone. Please see pros and cons below... (reviewed updated 6/21/2008)

Pro:

-iPhone and other MP3 player compatible (i.e. equipped with a "super minijack" headphone connection). Note: please don't confuse compatible with exceptional quality.

-Will power the iPhone and I think it can serve as a charger for it too

-Stores 4 pre-programmed stations

-Long cord could connect to a back seat lighter, not just the front (nice for those of you who have a lighter/socket in the rear)

-Acceptible broadcast strength, plenty loud as long as the iPhone volume is set loud.

-Price is reasonable relative to others on the market

-Buttons are flush with the front, fewer accidental button presses like I had experienced with my other (obsolete) transmitter

-In addition to buttons that cycle through the presets, there's up/down buttons to fine tune stations

-Socket has green LED when ready, turns amber when charging signaling that you are actually getting power

-Plastic case is less hard to open than others, the first that I can recall where I could pull it apart by hand (there's a tab in the back)... although a heavy pair of scissors are recommended

-Price is moderate, less than many (although not the least expensive either)

Con:

-Display is not backlit

-Broadcast strength and quality could be better

-Two cords, one plugs into the headphone jack, the other supplies power... a "quick and dirty" design (other competing models now use only one connector through the bottom connector, no separate connection to the headphone jack)

Nuetral:

-You must supply your own USB-based power cable. Since this is a one-size fits all device, it would be unreasonable to ask them to give you one for every player on the market...

-A small display... a pro or con, depending on the situation

-Made overseas, where quality often suffers (however, so far so good)

-Between the cable and the power cords, that's a lot of cable. I used the twist ties that came with the unit to help wrap up the excess wire to minimize tangling, you may want to too

-For iPhone users: the iPhone periodically emits a powerful magnetic field that interferes with this unit. I've found this true with other devices like my clock radio and phone at work

Bottom line: with recent advances now 3 stars (Amazon does not allow you to change the rating for an item once it is ranked). There are better items now on the market, but a low-cost option, especially good for non-iPhone applications due to random iPhone static interference.

This device works really well... IF you change it from US frequencies to International as explained by Random Bimms in another review of this product. (Thanks Random!!) I was having trouble finding a clear frequency in the D-FW area until I found the secret of setting it to 87.8 MHz. Too bad this tip isn't included in the instructions. With the USB charging connectivity, this is truly a universal transmitter/charger. Don't lock yourself into a unit that is dedicated to a particular brand/model... this one works with all of them that have a standard stereo headphone jack and USB charging.

Want Griffin iTrip Universal FM Transmitter and Charger for MP3 Players Discount?

I have bought several fm transmitters for myself and family members. This one is better than the Belkin TuneCast but not as good as the iRiver (at least in my area in Northern California). I tried all of the suggested frequencies but I do pick up some noise from the ignition during acceleration. I listen to a lot of classical music so I do notice the interference. For other music genres, it shouldn't matter. Once at speed on the road, the music sounds great.

It's great not having to have any batteries for the transmitter OR the MP3 player. Works fine despite crowded NYC airwaves. Only thing lacking is an on/off switch; I have to pull it out of the lighter socket to keep it from draining the car battery.

Happijac 182905 Direct-To-Frame Mount Tie-Down System
  • Carriers Front Mnt Tiedown Kit-Ft- 182905 Lippert Components-Happijac

Be aware that this camper tiedown IS NOT frame mounted as stated in the description. It is merely bolted into the truck bed cross member which is made of sheet metal. It will not be nearly as strong as if it was bolted directly into the vehicles frame. Although this unit will probably suffice for my camper, I should not have paid the extra money for a "frame mounted" tie down when it is clearly not.

Buy Happijac 182905 Direct-To-Frame Mount Tie-Down System Now

I don't know what the other reviewer was doing when he mounted his but mine mounted thru the cross member to the frame mount where the bed attaches to the frame rail. If one felt compelled one could try and run a drill bit straight thru the frame box but it'd be tough to get a nut in there...the location mine was a on a Dodge Ram 2500 was perfect and easy and WAS frame mounted.

All in all I thought it is a well thought out product. Some of the bolts threaded rough but I am nit-picking. About to move it to a newer Ford F250. Hope it goes as easy as on the old Dodge...

Good stuff for maintaining your ipod charged while on the move. It won't require much space to carry.

Do not buy this. I just got mine and it does not work. It is not made by Apple. It is a "want-a-be". The USB cable does not fit into the charger well and unless I am holding it tight it will not charge. Not very handy. Spend a little more and get a real Apple product.

The item was delivered fast, efficiently, and neatly. This was a great purchase. You are recommended.

Apple USB Power Adapter for iPod

  • Connects directly to an iPod shuffle

I use this to charge my Apple Nano Ipod.

There's no problems using it.

The nano seems to charge quickly using this adapter!

There's nothing else to buy, just plug in the usb 2 cable that comes with the nano into this and the other end of the cable into the nano, and then the adapter into your electrical outlet.

I think it is a shame the Nano does not come with this included!

Anyway, this seems to be a very good charging adapter. It's just way too pricey -even for the high-quality construction of it.

This is an excellent way to recharge your Shuffle away from the computer in a hassle free manner. Just plug it into the wall and you are done, no wires. The plug also folds in for easy storage, just like any other Apple or Canon Elph charger.

Say you ran out charge in the gym or in a non-tech-savvy friend's house, just pull this out of your bag and ready to go in a few minutes!

It can also be used to charge any other device which has a USB recharging capability. I have tested in on Palmone's Zire PDA so far and it works great. I am already looking for a USB cable for my Sony Ericsson phone. A possible to solution to mutiple chargers on your next trip.

Maybe a little bit overpriced but it still is affordably priced. Nice addition to your iPod Shuffle!

Don't waste $30 on this adapter. You can get an aftermarket one on Amazon for under $10! Just search by "USB Power Adapter." Apple is famous for this selling add ons that are triple the price of something you can get elsewhere. They used to be able to do this before Ipod's became so popular and companies started making copies of their docks, chargers, cases, etc....

Want Apple USB Power Adapter for iPod (White) Discount?

BUYER BEWARE!!! They are advertising an Apple USB Power Adapter. What they are shipping is a knock-off. I have the real 'Apple' version purchased from the Apple store so I know what it looks like. The model shipped from Tony Store has different style prongs (squared at the ends rather than tapered), the gray plastic and green dot are a much darker color than the real thing, the words 'designed' and 'equipment' are misspelled. They are spelled correctly on my genuine Apple charger. You can also look inside the end where the USB cable plugs in and see the actual internal parts are different as well.

In my opinion Amazon is aware this is going on and is just as guilty as the crooks selling it. It will most certainly affect what I buy from here going forward. One reason that I have shopped with Amazon in the past was the credibility that I believed they had earned. That is gone.

For those (and I am sure they are out there) that will argue 'for that price you should have known', I don't believe that is valid. There are always overstock deals, and inventory purchased at deep discounts from companies going out of business that you can find available by shopping around. What is going on here is just false advertising by Amazon and the vendors they are aligning themselves with.

I found this extremely useful because before, when I went on vacation my ipod would run out of batteries and I wouldn't have any music for a few days because I couldn't get to a computer. You just have to plug it into the wall and put in it the cord that you put into your computer to charge it. You can use it while using the itrip or any other accesories. I would recomend this to all people expecially if you travel or are away from a computer for awhile. It is well worth the money.

myCharge Peak 6000 Rechargeable Power Bank

myCharge Peak 6000 Rechargeable Power Bank
  • Charges 3 devices at once
  • 6000mAh battery, +27 hours talk time
  • Built-in USB charging cable & USB port
  • Built-in Micro-USB and Apple connectors
  • Ultra-fast wall recharging

I've seen and used many power banks in the past to charge my electronic devices. This one is given to me by a family member. There are things you should know about power banks before making your purchase; hopefully, this review will help since it's not a free sample review by Amazon vine. My opinion on this unit therefore is different from other reviewers.

Built-in AC Adapter:

-Power banks such as this having the convenience of the AC adapter built into the unit is a plus. This is definitely not the first in the market. There are about a dozen power banks on Amazon with this feature having the brand name Pisen New Battery High Power Box III 7500mah, Revolve Electronics xeMilo Hybrid USB Charger and Battery Backup for ipod, iPhone, Blackberry, iPad and More, All-in-One USB Travel Charger 1500mAh Portable Battery, AC Wall Charger, and 12V DC Car Charger in One with USB Output PortGreat for Charging Cell Phones, iPods, iPhones, and Other Wireless Devices, New! Tenergy Mobile Power Bank w/ Built-In AC Power Plug and USB Port Dark Red Color, NAZtech, McCally, and other non-branded ones.

-Built in usb charging cable is not practical. The description says that your can charge the mycharge peak from your laptop. Who would do this unless they want to completely drain their laptop batteries. Most laptop allows sleep charge on the USB ports.

Built-in Cables:

This is also a great idea to have; however, as one reviewers here mentioned that the cables are too short. His/her suggestion of a retractable cable is a good idea; unfortunately, most retractable cables snap easily. The micro usb and Apple products cable are simply too short. They can only be left for charging because of their length. A person can hold the Mycharge Peak on one hand and an iPhone on the other but definitely not iPad. It would definitely be nice to leave the power bank inside a bag or pocket with a long cable to enable a person to use the iPad/phone or anything else while charging. That's why I rather carry an extra cable in a wallet/messenger bag. Again, there are lots of powerbanks with the built-in cables feature: Anker, Powergen, New Trent, Skiva, Tursion, RAVpower, Targus, Nokia, and etc...

6000mAh Capacity:

The size of 6000mAh is not what you should assume to get out of it. The actual battery inside the power bank is actually rated at 3.7V. To charge your phone/tablet, it needs to convert to a 5V rating. So, you need to convert 3.7 to 5V and in a virtual world if this unit is 100% efficient one would get 74% of 6000mAh = 4400mAh. In Reality, the efficiency is about 60-70%. The actual energy that can be used to power your phone/tablet is about 4000mAh. It charges the iPhones about 300%, ipad 2 55%, ipad 3 33%.

Current Output:

2.1A on the iphone/ipad cable might damage the internal battery or even the phone because they're supposed to be charge at 1.00A or less.

Micro USB 1A is good because most devices such as bluetooth, speakers, and Android phones can be charged correctly.

1A USB output is a bit low IMO. myCharge/Homedics should rate it at 2.0A to also target Android Tablet users to expand their market.

Size:

Bulky! Imagine it's a bit longer than a 3X5, index card and 1 inch thick. 1/2 lbs is the weight of this mycharge Peak. It's not much, but it adds up in a backpack, purchase, bag, with other stuffs already in them.

Finally, Price:

It appears that they're raised the price since the release date. Originally, it was less than $60. That was a great price. At $99, it's expensive. This might be the reason why there so many Amazon Vine reviewers rather than actual purchased (about a hand full) reviewers. For $25 (WOW), one can get an 8000mAh powerbank such as the EZOPower White 2-Port Ultra High-capacity Portable External Rechargable Backup Battey Pack -8000mAh (2A) for IPhone, IPOD, IPad, MP3 Players, Tablet, GPS, Mobile Phone, Android Phone, Cell Phone, Blackberry, HTC, Samsung, Nokia, LG, Sony Ericsson, Pantc... which can charge all types of devices including the Samsung Galaxy Tab, Anker [Upgraded Version] Anker® Astro2 Dual USB Output 8400mAh Backup External Battery Pack Charger with built-in Flashlight for iPhone 5, all iPhone, iPad, iPod models; Android Smartphones: Samsung Galaxy S3 S III I9300, Galaxy S2 S II I9100, Galaxy Nexus, G...] for $40, New Trent New Trent iCurve IMP70D 7000mAh External Battery Pack and Charger for "The new iPad" the 3rd Gen ipad, iPad2, iPhone 5 4S 4 3Gs 3G, iPod Touch (1G to 5G), Android (Samsung Galaxy Note S S2, HTC Sensation EVO Thunderbolt, LG Optimus V), Blackberry (Bold ... for $42, HITOSELLER 8400mAh Mobile Extended Battery Backup Pack Charger Adapter Case Power Bank for Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket SGH-I727, i777, S3 i9300, Galaxy Ace Nexus Note Prevail Precedent, Blaze, Infuse, Epic 4G Touch, Vibrant, Fascinate, Intercept; HTC One X/S, Sens... for $22 (WOW), and many others at better values.

Overall, I think that mycharge peak is an OK device. It's definitely not a bag for the buck. Competition is fierce since there are many other battery sellers and new ones with new ideas are coming out such as the one by XTG technology that allows your to charge even in the car. Also, RavPower is about to release one similar to this at a smaller size, better price, without the AC plug, same capacity for $54RAVPower xRobot RP-PB05 Power Bank / External Battery / Juice Pack -6000mAh Capacity / 2.1A Max Output for APPLE: The New iPad, iPad Mini, iPad 2, iPhone 5 4S 4G, iPod Touch, Nano; Smasung: Galaxy Note 2 N7100, Galaxy Note N700, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy .... I've used several rechargeable power packs, most requiring additional cords for different devices but never one that had near all the cords attached like the myCharge Peak 6000 and never one that could recharge every device I connected to it. I was very impressed with charging abilities of this ultra portable power pack. It charged every single device I attached to it.

Highlights:

The power pack has three notification modes: Voice, Tone or Silent. The power pack comes with Voice mode on by default. Additionally the led indicators on the side flash the power levels when a device is connected or when the level check button it pressed. When in voice mode, every time a device is attached a voice notifications tells you that it's charging and what type of device is connected i.e. Apple, USB or Micro.

A level check button on the side when pushed will tell you how much power is left by either voice or tone, depending on mode selected, and the led indicators will flash the corresponding bars: 5 bars = 91% 100%, 4 bars = 71% 90%, 3 bars = 51% 70%, 2 bars = 35% -50%, 1 bar means the power pack needs to be recharged with less than 25% power left.

Recharges fast. It took about one hour and 20 minutes to get the power pack to 51% 70% charged once it reached 1 bar and the power pack's voice prompt indicated that it was time to recharge. The manual says it will take up to 4 hours to charge via wall outlet and 13 hours via standard laptop USB port with onboard USB cable.

Can recharge the power pack via wall outlet or the attached USB cable through your computer.

Compact. This power pack is the size of a portable hard drive.

Has a USB port and three charging cables attached: MicroUSB, standard USB and Apple(not the new iPhone 5 one) connectors.

Can charge up to 3 device at the same time with Apple devices charging first since these devices are high-powered with exception of the Nano then USB connected devices and the microUSB devices.

I was able to charge an iPhone 5 from 82% to 100% in 20 minutes, Logitech K800 Wireless Keyboard from 1 bar to fully charged and iPhone 4 from 51% to 91%, which is when it ran out of charge, right out the box, and this is all after I ran around spot charging the devices listed below.

Items I could charge:

iPhone 4

iPhone 5 via the iPhone 5 cable through the onboard USB port.

iPad 1

iPad 2

Logitech K800 Wireless Keyboard

Kindle Touch

Sony Reader PRST1

Nook Simple Touch

Nook Color

Sony Ericsson Hi-Fi Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Jabra Drive Bluetooth Speaker

Motorola S305 Bluetooth Headset

Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth Stereo Headphones

Sony NEX-F3 Camera

ETA:

Samsung Droid Charge

As you can tell, I went around trying to find anything I could to charge with the power pack. I'm thrilled that I didn't find not one item myCharge couldn't charge.

I'd recommend the myCharge Peak 6000 power bank to anyone who wants to cut down on the cords, power bricks and adapters that have to carried around for most portable devices, especially while traveling, that's truly compatible with nearly all chargeable devices.

There are cooler looking solutions but this one works perfect and has all the right plugs and cords built in for Micro USB, Ipod/pad/phone. The difference make is that this also has a 110 outlet plug that also is built in to the device. I have used it a few times on work trips to charge my ipad, energy sucking samsung galaxy s3 and bluetooth headset.

In short I love this device and have ordered a second. The current price @ best buy is about $99.00 so this is also a good value.

Want myCharge Peak 6000 Rechargeable Power Bank Discount?

I've had a number of different rechargeable battery packs, and have always enjoyed the extra time they give me to continue to use my devices when I am away from home. The three main devices I take with me everywhere are my iPhone 4s, my Samsung WB150F Digital Camera and my Kindle Fire. The myCharge 6000 battery pack has connections on it to charge all three of my devices.

The features that set this charging pack apart from the rest are:

Voice notifications, which can be set to any one of four languages: English, Spanish, French and Portuguese

Wall prongs that allow you to chose whether you want to recharge it via wall outlet or through the standard USB cable

And my favorite feature, having all the different charging cables built right into the battery pack itself.

The voice notification feature can be turned on and off, in case you would rather not have the audio on. When you plug the unit in, the voice will tell you that the pack is charging, and will also let you know when the charge is complete. When you plug one of the adapter cables into a device, the voice recognizes it and confirms it by stating that the connection has been made. If you decide you want to turn the voice off, you can set it by pressing a settings button located underneath the iPhone/iPod adapter, using a pin or paperclip.

I really like that you can charge this battery pack using built in wall prongs. I already have a bunch of things plugged into the USB ports on my computers. Having one less thing attached charging is a plus. In addition, there are times when I travel and I only take my Kindle Fire and my iPhone, I have no computer/laptop with me to recharge a battery pack through USB. The wall prongs have proved to be extremely useful.

But my favorite feature of the myCharge 6000 is that all the adapters are attached to the battery pack, and store in it until they are needed. With my other battery packs, I find myself always trying to track down the correct interchangeable tips for the cables. That's never an issues with this one. If I have the battery pack, I have everything I need to charge all of my devices.

The whole unit is just an inch or so larger than an iPhone 4s and maybe about half an inch wider. So there's a lot packed into a very portable package. The pack is white and silver in color, with the main USB adapter being neon green in color. In addition to the micro USB adapter, iPhone adapter and the USB adapter, there is also a USB port on one side. So if you have a device that does not fit one of the main adapters, and you do have a USB charging cable for it, you can plug that into the USB port and still charge your device. All around, it's very well designed unit and is my favorite battery pack, by far. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great quality rechargeable battery pack, who needs devices charged that take micro USB, USB and iPhone/iPod adapters.

Pros :

+ Built in AC plug for recharging (4 hours for a full charge). Plug folds out of the way when not in use

+ AC works on 100-240V 50/60Hz, so it's travel friendly (with the right plug converter)

+ Built in connectors Apple 30 pin (note : not the new Lightning connector), micro USB, and normal USB to recharge the myCharge

+ Voice prompts tells you exactly what is happening

+ Solidly built

+ Charges everything I threw at it

+ Apple dock connector can supply max. of 2.1A, other two can supply 1.0A each. Total supply cannot exceed 3.1A (managed by the charger).

+ Charger can manage power draw. Priority is given to the Apple dock connector, followed by USB port, and finally the micro USB.

+ Syncing can be done through Apple Dock connector when unit is also connected to computer. But no syncing through USB port or micro USB cable.

+ Able to recharge the myCharge while having it charge my phone at the same time.

+ Manual is well written. I should not be surprised by this, but I've seen so many manuals that are obviously the result of a translation software without human editing. I've found only 1 omission to change sound mode, the manual says you need to plug it into your PC. You can also plug the unit into a wall outlet.

Cons :

Price! The Anker® Astro 5600mAh Backup External Battery Pack Charger is 1/3 the price.

Size. The Anker is 1/3 the size (but cannot be recharged by plugging into wall socket and does not have attached cables).

Weight. The Anker is 5 oz compared to the 9 oz myCharge

Flap that holds the USB cable secure uses a magnet that's "exposed". Might affect credit cards. I'll post a photo showing what I mean.

Having a voice announcing what's happening in English, French, Portugese or Spanish seems like overkill. A small LCD would probably be more practical.

No syncing through USB port or micro USB cable

2A output only through Apple Dock connector.

Requires Lightning adapter for new Apple products

Takes up to 13 hours to recharge from a 5V 0.5A standard USB port

Other observations (does not affect my rating):

= 1 year limited warranty

= Nice packaging

= Made in China

= Lithium Polymer batteries

I used this extensively over a few days, recharging just about everything I have around the house that can be recharged over USB. The only item that wouldn't recharge properly is my SanDisk Sansa Clip Zip. If the Clip Zip is powered off, it does not recharge it will only recharge if it is powered on. I think this is a problem with the Clip Zip and not the myCharge, as it has issues with the Anker as well.

Other than that, all the cell phones in the house (2 Samsungs and one ZTE feature phone) charges fine. I was also able to use my Garmin Oregon GPS receiver without batteries, connected to just the myCharge. As the Oregon does not draw a lot of power, this is to show that the myCharge can operate even when supplying a small current.

The manual notes that the Samsung Galaxy tablet requires a proprietary USB port and cannot be recharged from the unit. The Asus tablet can be recharged, but only when the screen is off, and even then, it recharges very slowly you need something that outputs 15V for the Asus tablet to charge quickly.

You can change the sound mode between speech (choice of 4 languages), tones, and silence. There is no volume control. If you find the sound too loud (as I do), I suggest placing a piece of electrical tape over the speaker holes.

To test the capacity, I charged the unit to full capacity, and over the next 4 days, I let my Galaxy Nexus drop down to 5% charge before recharging it. After the second full charge, the myCharge reported that it is below 25% capacity (one blinking white light). The phone's battery is a 1750 mAH. I was careful to not use the phone while it is charging. Judging from what I've read, this is about what is to be expected after accounting for losses during the entire charging process.

In conclusion, this is a nice unit, self contained and I will definitely pack it when I'm traveling, since it can double as a portable power supply as well as a USB AC plug. I'd like to have the Apple Dock connector replaced with a USB port capable of supplying up to 2A instead. Other than that, it's a nice but expensive external power pack that has worked reliably with everything I threw at it.

If the price is not so much higher than the alternatives, I'd rate this 5 stars. It deserves 5 stars for functionality, I took 1 star away for it not being a great value for money.

Briggs & Stratton B4177GS Battery Charger

Briggs & Stratton B4177GS Battery ChargerExact replacement for the floating charger (B4177GS) provided with B&S #1934 8000 watt generator. While preparing the generators for hurricane season, I could not find the original charger for the electric start generator battery. Hurricane season is not the time to be without, so a quick lookup of the charger part number and Amazon has them. Now that I have the replacement the original should show up any day.

The product was brand new and received on time. The battery charger fit correctly and worked as advertised. I would recommend this product purchased from Amazon without hesitation.

I needed to replace my Battery Charger for my generator after the cover busted on the original one. I had been searching various other sites for a replacement. Belkin Portable AA Battery Pack

Belkin Portable AA Battery Pack
  • Emergency battery pack for powering and charging portable electronics
  • Charges iPods, most cell phones, MP3 players, digital cameras, PDAs, and more
  • Delivers up to 12 hours additional talk time and 8 hours iPod playtime
  • 7 hot tips are compatible with 90 percent of cell phone manufacturers
  • 2 USB hot tips for iPods, smart phones, and PDAs; requires 2 AA batteries

I purchased this to power up my itouch and nokia phone during a 4 day train trip. After hooking up to my itouch it seemed to work, then abruptly stopped. Probably an itouch software issue with usb. Then my Nokia phone does not fit any tips provided with this. You have to purchase separate tips for $9 or more apiece. Cannot power my psp without buying yet another tip. It claims to handle all these brand names, but only some of their actual products.

Stay away from this one. It's outdated and just needs lots of pricey separate accessories to work.

I really like this unit. Unfortunately, there is some unresolved issue with VIA units not being able to activate the lifetime map feature update through tomtom. See discussion forum here: . Just wanted to give amazon customers a heads up to avoid this unit until tomtom resolves there issues. The customer support has a tendency to quicky close tickets they are burying their heads in the sand with this issue and not being honest with customers which is extremely annoying. My first experience with tomtom not impressed...

Since the review was written tomtom has fixed the map update issue. The only other complaint I would have is my mount broke early on. I can get it put together and working but then it pops apart again pretty easy.

Normally I don't write reviews, and certainly I'm not going to submit a novel here, but I do need to let others know what I personally think, especially given the two reviews that had a bad experience. Mine was terrific. Its a very solid, but lightweight unit. The integrated mount system is very elegant and it plain works. When collapsed, the device fits neatly into either a center console or a glove box. The cord is important as without it, the unit will not be able to predict traffic. There is a small knob on the cord that lives close (6-12 inches?) to the GPS when mounted, which is not at all obtrusive, but it receives a radio signal relaying traffic info. So the cord charges AND delivers important info. Pretty slick--so it doesn't add bulk to a nice thin piece of hardware. Gotta tell you, the screen is beautiful. 5 inches is just sweet. I used to have a much smaller one and I wasn't keen on a big unit, but boy this is nice! Oh, and it rotates! 90º or 180º, so it fits anywhere! All the relevant info, and you decide what else you want to show up. Totally customizable interface too. I could have sprung for the more expensive blue-tooth and voice activated gizmo, but that's not my style. Get me there, and tell me if there's a problem ahead and I'm a very happy camper. Last note. I did plug it into my computer and updated the device. Waited as I was supposed to, and then viola! All set and good to go. No issues. Enjoy!

Can't add a lot more than what Wolverine has already written, except to emhasize I haven't experienced any problems with my Tom Tom VIA 1500 unit. Maps updated in my first connection (several months ago) and it has worked flawlessly from day-one.

Once you've become familiar with it's menu structure it's easy to use and adjust to your specifications. It does a great job warning of traffic delays as well as offering alternative routes when it will save you time. I love it's big screen, how easy it is to attach to your windshield or to other surfaces and the ease it is to adjust it to the best viewing angle.

Owning a stand-alone GPS with these features (especially in comparison to those on many smartphones today) to me is a no-brainer. It's well worth the cost in consideration of the savings in time and frustration when you find yourself traveling to unfamiliar areas. No longer do I need to look up and print out maps via the 'Net! With regular use the Tom Tom has easily paid for itself.

I have five GPS units now and three are tomtoms, with the VIA 1500TM as my most recent purchase. The initial setup was without error and while sitting on the kitchen table waiting for update it immediately found satellites! I didn't expect that based on some previous reviews of this unit. I have used the traffic and red light camera feature and find the menu simple and intuitive. The screen is clear and the window mount works well. There is no advertising like other brands. And the website update works without a hitch. I am glad I bought it and perhaps I jumped the gun for it to be an X-mas present. Oh well!

GREAT GPS!! Updated after 5 years of using the TomTom One. What a difference in every respect. Great mount (no more falling off the windshield); swivel view; traffic indication; etc. Add to that that I paid north of $150 years ago for substantially less technology. This is an incredible leap forward. Yeah!!!!!

HQRP 20A Solar Panel Power Battery Charge Controller / Regulator 12V / 24V 20 Amp 300W with Remote M

HQRP 20A Solar Panel Power Battery Charge Controller / Regulator 12V / 24V 20 Amp 300W with Remote Meter & PWM charging mode plus HQRP UV Chain / UV Radiation Health TesterI'm not sure who makes this or where it's made, but my guess would be China. I can only guess because it came with absolutely no documentation or instructions in a plain brown box. That said, it's fairly simple to hook up and it does seem to work as a basic charging regulator. The display/control module is difficult to read since the LCD display doesn't seem to have any contrast adjustment, or if it does I haven't found out how to adjust it. There are four buttons on the control module but all I've been able to do with them so far is toggle between monitoring the battery pack voltage and monitoring the solar panel voltage. It looks like it should allow a choice of battery type and capacity, but I haven't been able to change that from where it's defaulted at. I wouldn't buy this again, and wouldn't recoommend it for anyone who seriously needs a good charge controller.

I bought this a couple of years ago and love it. It's lightweight and compact, folds into an easily stored size, but when you flip it open it'll hold an average adult just fine. Solid. It'll store easily in a cabinet or under the sink or you could hang it on a wall or door. Great for reaching the top shelf in the kitchen, or would be terrific for little kids to reach the sink, etc. Every home could use at least one.

This stool is a safety hazard, and I would not recommend it. The problem is that the stool is unstable. My 77-year old mother was standing on the stool, and it broke completely. She weighs 105 pounds, and so it was definitely not a problem of her weight. She was standing at the kitchen sink, and the stool just collapsed and cracked in half. She fell on the floor and was fortunate not to break a bone. This stool should be taken off the market because it is not safe.

  • Can be used to heat most kinds of pre-cooked food

It really gets old eating fast food while out on the road.I'm a trucker and thats all they have in most travel centers. On Christmas my girlfriend got me this, and its the best gift I could have gotten. This is a tackle box stove, and its mainly a food warmer. This will get pretty hot also, and after plugged in for only 10 minutes the bottom plate has plenty of heat.I can pull into a rest area, throw some hot pockets or burritos in it.Then head down the road and then pull over and have lunch in about an hour. This stove saves me a whole lot of money as well,as i really don't have a need to eat out when I'm on the road.In the morning i can put some sausage biscuits in it and in 30 min. there piping hot.As for dinner i can warm up leftover pizza, lasagna, soups, or pretty much any frozen food and it comes out great. If theres any negative thing to this stove,I'm not sure what it would be.Its prefect for a someone running solo or a team.So if you want to eat healthier on the road or just to be able to bring some real good food with you, this would be the item to have.

UPDATE 4/11I need to to let people know i am still enjoying my stove.I'm able to pull over put my food in my stove, and about an hour later its done.I was getting burned out on hotpockets,so found other great things to cook.miniature pizzas for 45 min.(butches pizza) work great in this, you might need to trim it though.Chicken wings for 60 min.(walgreens premade)work great in this too,and a nice treat for me.campbells chucky soups for 60-90 min. using loaf pans lined with foil, our great to have as well.I like the clam chowder & chicken gumbo sausage soups.BBQ sandwiches work great in this too,i buy lloyds premade pork for 45 min.,and a package of buns and i'm set for the week.Mozzarella sticks & cheddar poppers for 45 min.our a nice treat as well. This stove really saves me a whole lot of money and being a long distance trucker,it gives me a chance to have something decent when i'm gone.

I want o start by saying the image shown doesn't really look like the Roadpro I got, the one pictured looks cheaply made and flimsy. The one I got looks much better built. Also there are no tins, not a big deal as I had some already (and I recommend getting some they will be handy)

That said this thing is awesome! I pre-made a few breakfast burritos to heat up while we were out in the Mts on a day trip. I got out my little stove to give it a try, grabbed my burrito out of the ice chest and about 10mins later had a hot meal and I do mean hot! This thing definitely lives up to the 300 degrees.

Two things to note:

1. The bottom of the stove gets fairly warm. I only had it on for 15-20mins at a time so I can't say how hot it would get but it was hot enough I took notice.

2. I felt the need to flip my burritos as it heated more on the bottom than the top. Stacking two to three didn't work well either. There was plenty of room but the ones on top didn't get hot, they might have got a little warmer but not much.

I work for the Fire Department Emergency Medical Services and always find it very difficult to have lunch since we are not given a lunch break. So, now I can just heat up my food while working and have a nice hot home made meal as soon as I have a chance instead of waiting for take out fast food. Trust me that now in this difficult times 911 is very busy and sometimes we dont even make it to a fast food restaurant. So its also a very smart way to save money for those of us working on the road.

It was so nice to have a hot meal on the outing. Beware, it draws a little over 12 amps and most car accessories are fused at 6 or 8 amps (at least the ones I've seen). I custom built my Accessory line and made it heavy duty for a 20 amp service so I was OK from the start. The unit says it runs at 144 Watts, and my ammeter agreed (12V X 12A =144W). Definately use the foil trays and consider using extra foil in those trays to cover whatever you have in them to keep it from spilling if the stove gets knocked around at all.

The items in the bottom of the tray were scorched (hot dogs) the first time I used the stove, and they were really hot after about 1/2 hour or so. The second day I added some water into the bottom of the stove (under the tray) and it was perfect...no scorching, and still really hot. I can hardly wait to try it again and come up with different things to heat up.

I bought this for my husband for christmas, He was'nt sure about it at first, but now he loves it. he works outside and is tired of sandwiches and fast food now he can take left overs or heat different soups. he said in 20-25 min it heats up to 300 degrees and his food is hot! thiss product is well worth the money.

  • Extend A Shower White Fits' 35"-42" shower space. can be trimmed to fit smaller openings. Add more shower to your space

Ok so I purchased this 'Extend-A-Shower' knowing full well that the dimensions of my campers shower stall were 3 inches too small for what the manufacturers recommend for proper installation. Well once I got it, I was easily able to modify the length of the center bar by 4 inches and it is totally amazing. I'm sure the manufacturers don't recommend that you shorten things but it was so easy to do. It is made very well and is sturdy too. I probably voided the warrantee but for the 40 bucks I paid, it was totally worth it. This is a great product and I would recommend to anyone that needs a little extra space in a tight little bathroom.

Wow, what a difference this shower rod makes! We have an incredibly tiny bathroom in our RV, but the shower pan is a fairly usable size. Almost got one of those sliding screens, but then saw this one and decided to try it. With the addition of a clear shower curtain, our bathroom now is very usable, the shower area in particular being as roomy as a fixed corner shower we had in a 36' diesel pusher. And pushing the curtain back into the shower area afterwards makes the toilet area much less claustrophic! All in all, a great invention. Installation was done by myself with just screwdrivers and drill.

This is a must have product! Showers with curtains in campers are almost always really small and you feel cramped in. This product us just great. You have so much more arm room! Also as an added bonus the picture does not really show you is that is extends "into" the shower as well so when not in use you have a lot more arm room in the bathroom when you have shower curtain all the way out like for drying. This is a great product. As soon as we got it installed we bought another one for our other camper.

We recently moved up to a 18' travel trailer from our 20 year old pop-up and one of the features we were looking forward to was a shower and a bathroom. Being a larger guy, I was a bit disappointed in how tight the shower was, especially around the shoulder area as the curtain rubbed right up against me. I thought about getting one of those curved shower bars like in hotels but the ones I found were too long since they were designed for full size showers. A quick check on Amazon in the RV section brought me to the Stromber Carlson Extend-A-Shower. It was only a few bucks more than what I had seen at Home Depot but at least it would fit in the trailer. I was intrigued about the flexible curve as well.

Amazon's delivery was as amazing as always (ordered on Sunday afternoon, had it Monday evening) and the installation was very easy with only a screwdriver and pilot drill. No cutting and very solid. The Extend-A-Shower is signficantly better built than the shower rod I took out and the bend in/out feature of the Extend-A-Shower is incredible! While getting all the room I needed in the shower, I also now have a similar amount of extra space in the bathroom since the shower curtain is fully out of the way when not in use. This is a "Run, don't Walk" product to get and every tight bathroom/shower should have one! Thanks again, Amazon!!!

We bought this to go into our Travel trailer where space is limited. The extend a shower is a great idea to give a little extra elbow room, also works as a clothing rack to dry wet clothes. Its says it can be cut down to a smaller size which we did just wish it gave you instructions on how. When we measured the space it measured at 32" the bar measured at 35" we actually had to take a total of 4" off but did this at 1" at a time to make it fit. Thank god I have a crafty husband!!! Overall its a good product would recommend.

Purchased Garmin nüvi 260W GPS, this product was listed under 'Frequently Bought Together' items. It was inexpensive, in fact, shipping was more than the item itself. I purchased the AC wall charger and when I received my GPS I attempted to use it to initially charge the GPS. Not only would the Garmin NOT charge, it functioned like it kept getting reset, like it was caught in a loop. Once I placed the Garmin inside my vehicle with the car charger it worked exactly like it should have, so I know the problem was the AC charger. The AC charger price was not worth going thru the expense or hassle or returning it, so I threw it in the trash. Hopefully this review will save others a couple of bucks.
