These appear to be quality units. They allow a convenient method of passing heavy cables through the firewall, or any panel. The one issue I have is the lack of availability of a properly shaped panel punch. I have cut the flat sided mounting holes the old fashioned way with hand tools which is time intensive and only approximate in shape. I have yet to locate the right punch for this job.All in all, these provide a good way to pass heavy electrical (battery) cables through the firewall, or any panel. I would purchase again.

It appears to handle the power draw quite well,
the battery meter does lie a little bit -when the
battery is fully charged, and the power cuts out,
it drops down to "half charged" but i think this is because
being such a beefy charger, it maybe requires a few more
batteries on it, as the voltage of a single large group 27
lead acid battery stabilises around 12.36 volts during use of battery,
there is nothing wrong with either the battery or the inverter,
I think its just needs a few more batteries, it is a big
inverter and is desined to run/charge more than just one battery.

I have a stored vehicle that is used only on rare occasions. I do not wish to reset seat, radio and other of the myriad of memory's so I choose not to disconnect the battery. This Charger is Awesome! It can charge any 12 volt battery on my farm. 5amp and 2 amp charge modes are gentle and effective. It takes a little extra time to get the charge completed, but if you plan ahead and let it go overnight it works very well. Now instead of boiling a battery because of a bad charge timer on my old battery charger I can leave this one unattended for days. Capable of charging batteries on large diesel tractors and small lawn tractors. I love it.Note: the stowage compartment is an O.K. feature, better than not having one, but not completely amazing either.

This is a great product for the money. The pump is relatively fast, the inverter works well. Has a great charge indicator gauge. Make sure you have the master switch off while charging. Charge it 48 hours the first time. Periodically charge it once every 3 months. There isn't a good place to sy=tore the AC adapter, or 12 charging cord. I have the older version of this device that I bought a few years ago. I tried pumping up a car tire one time, but I could never get the device to pump up the tire with air even after letting it run for a half-hour. The device became very hot while pumping! I eventually borrowed my neighbor's compressor to pump up all 4 of the car tires in a few minutes. I used the Wagan to pump air into bicycle tires, but now the pump quits at about 45psi, never reaching the 70psi needed. I used the Wagan a few times to jump a dead car battery, but now that doesn't work anymore.I suspect the internal battery needs to be replaced, but I wasn't able to find the manual on the Wagan web site. Customer support seems very lacking to me.

This is the second power bank I have had the pleasure of reviewing, the first being the RAVPower Power Bank. I would like to first review the TimeTec Xamp2 in its own right, and then do a short comparison between the two.
IN THE BOX

Inside the box, you will find the Xamp2 power bank, an apple-like wall plug (1a), two extension cables and 5 connectors. The bank also came with a mesh-like bag which is a nice addition, but offers protection only from scratches. You will also find instructions, although this is mostly self-explanatory! The device came pre-charged for me, but I wouldn't count on it. This power bank does not come with Apple's proprietary charging cable, probably to avoid the licensing fees. This didn't affect my rating, but it seems to be a much-asked question on power bank reviews.
DESIGN

The Xamp2 is nice and small measuring just 4"x2.5"x0.75". It is relatively light, and while you probably won't want to carry this around in your pocket, it won't weight down a bag/purse.The power bank has two output USB ports, one rated at 1a and the other at 2a. The 2a port is very helpful for charging tablets such as the iPad, that otherwise would charge quite slowly. The Xamp2 uses a Micro-USB port, something which other power banks also seem to have. This was a disappointment as I prefer to carry as few cables as possible in my bag, and with my iPhone cable, mini-USB for card reader/camera, proprietary cable for bluetooth and several others, it's getting a little crowded. I took half a star away from the final rating due to this factor. Another little feature is an LED flashlight that can be turned on my double-clicking the ON button. This is actually rather handy, and although has little to do with a device charger, has been useful due to the fact that I keep this charger in my night-stand. All of the included cables and connectors seem of reasonable quality personally I prefer white cables so that was a plus for me!
PERFORMANCE

Charging the device: with the included wall plug, it did take right around nine hours (as advertised). Using my iPad wall charger, that dropped to around seven.
Charging my iPhone: from 9% battery, my iPhone 4 took two hours to charge. Not too bad at all, and I was using it a little to check text messages while charging. I haven't tested this, but with a +-1400mah iPhone 4 battery, you should get around five charges from a full Xamp2 charge.

OVERALL
I would probably rate this product at 4.5 stars if I was able to, but I haven't rated it as 5 merely because I reserve that for products that I would change little on or exceed my expectations. Without using a (now) rarely-used micro-USB connector, this would truly be a 5-star product. This is really rather good though, and I struggled with how to rate it. It has been a lifesaver several times, and is perfect for travelers, hikers or business people on-the-go who may not have access to a wall socket or computer to charge their phone or tablet. It has earned a permanent spot in my computer bag, and has replaced the RavPower that I received simply due to the fact that it is smaller and lighter!
Happily recommended as a very nice product to own!The timetec power bank charger has two different amperage USB ports so that you can charge your iPhone and iPad at the proper level of amp output simultaneously (you just need 1 apple cable as the universal adapters only comes with one apple attachment). Having both of my devices about half full they charged for about an hour and now they are both full battery and the timetec shows only 1 indicator light out of 4 down. Meaning I could probably charge both devices from nothing twice before this timetec would loose its charge. Wonderful to have around with me on the go. This is my second pair of Motorola 2-Way radios. I have tried other bands like Midland and been very disappointed, but Motorola has never let me down. I needed two extra radios for a fishing trip to Colorado so that my father, my brother, my son and I could stay in touch. I was amazed at how good these radios did in the mountains. At one point I was over three miles away from my father on the other side of a mountain and we could still talk clearly. Now I know 3 miles in not as far as the 23 miles range that is claimed these radios can reach, but if you know anything about how these radios transmit, then you know that for it to transmit clearly through 3 miles of solid mountain is close to a miracle. I have a pair of Midland G-300 Two Way Radios that claim a 10 mild range that cannot even reach 1/2 a mile through forest on straight level ground. I was also impressed with the battery life. Even after a long day of heavy use these units had plenty of power left. One was left on over night after being used all day and it still had power the next day.
Since I want this review to be helpful to people people wanting to buy these, I want to make something clear. The range claim that any 2-way radio manufacturer makes, is base on optimum conditions with no structural or atmospheric interference. In real life you can never expect to get those kinds of ranges out of any unit. Due to the curvature of the earth I would not expect that any radio could reach farther then 10 miles under normal conditions unless each radio is located in an elevated position with a valley in between, such as on either side of the Grand Canyon. So when you buy a 2-way radio, don't pay much attention to the range claims that are made. Just make sure that they will do what you need them to and don't expect a miracle that deifies the laws of physics.

None that I can find.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
If you are looking for a good pair of 2-way radios for hiking, camping, fishing or similar, look no farther. If you are looking for 2-way radios for some sort of specialized professional use or something else these may or may not be what you are looking for.

I bought 2 pair of these radios as well as 3 pair of the MR355s. They cost $20 less, so I could get about 3 pair of these for 2 pair of the MR355s. I distributed them to my supervisors, vehicle operators and field engineers in our open area shipyard.The reception is fine, although you do notice the clearer sound and slightly longer range of the MR355s (I'm talking only a couple hundred yards longer).
The unit uses the supplied NiMH battery pack or 3 AAA's. Of course, AA's batteries like the ones used in the MR355 would have more power and last longer, but then, the MR355 has more features (like vibrate and an LED flashlight) that use up more power. Anyway, I knew the compromises when I got the units.
However, I wasn't ready for the MH230 to show 2 bars on the battery icon and yet the display wasn't functioning clearly. Some of the LCD lines were very faint or could only be seen at an extreme angle. For instance, the 8 looked like a 9 bcs the left lower LCD bar wouldn't light up. After trying out the features, I fully charged the battery. Wouldn't you know it, at full charge, all the LCD's work. At partial charge (or discharge, as you like it) some of the LCD bars would fade out. This happened with all 4 MH230 radios and didn't happen with any of the MR355s, even as the more expensive radio's would run out of juice. NOTE to Giant Electronics, fix this issue! You're ruining Motorola's rep.
Anyway, we use the MH230 in thick steel crane and payloader cabins, talking to people in the office 700 yards away with a couple 30 foot tall cargo ships and a few dozen welders doing their thing in between. The sound is mostly clear and everyone gets heard. The users wish they had the PTT earbuds that come with the more expensive units, but hey, you get the bright yellow ones, be happy!
The guys who crawl around inside the steel hulls get the MR355s with the PTT, vibra and lights. They're happy too.
4 stars for the unit performance, minus 1 star bcs of the LCD problems at half batt.
Can't complain I'm not getting the 23 mile range, or they would owe me stars. BTW, many 25 Watt vehicle or base station radios with 36 inch antennas won't get 23 miles, so don't expect these reach that far.

I've never written a review before but was motivated to write this one. This is a great product. My fly fishing buddy and i use these in the mountains and they are great. Very clear. I'll admit that when I came across these 2 way radios when just browsing electronics one day, I had no intention of buying any. Though my son and I hunt and fish where we occasionally get separated, we always have cell phones along for keeping in touch. Upon closer examination however I was intrigued by the fact that this pair of radios (as well as several other ones within this price range and higher) carry all 7 NOAA weather channels. They are essentially a two way communicator that is a full fledged weather radio as well. This may not sound all that significant unless you happen to own, or are interested in owning a small portable hand held weather radio like some available here on Amazon. The single portable walkie talkie size weather radios on Amazon that don't do anything else but receive weather, are far more expensive per unit than buying two of these two way radios. Simply put, these radios are literally two for the price of one when comparing them to other hand held weather receivers here. Not only do you get two walkie talki/weather radios, but you also get a holder/charging unit that keeps them fully charged and ready for action at all times. They also carry the same alert option that other NOAA weather radios have so you can be advised of dangerous weather in your home, or wherever you happen to take them. I don't really believe that I would recommend these radios solely for the purpose of weather radios if one could honestly say they would never have any use for a two way radio. However it just so happens that when you own a pair of these you would be surprised how often you do find a situation where they come in fun and handy. When my son and I go out in the wilderness now we take these along in addition to the cell phones. They are very loud and clear and never lose a signal like cell phones do. When I am not using them for communication, I keep one on the local NOAA weather station and are continuously informed of the latest weather and advisories 24 hours a day. They get excellent weather reception and besides, there's two of them. When for whatever reason one dies or has an accident, there is an instant replacement ready to take its place. Whether you are considering these radios for two way communication, or just for their weather feature, I highly recommend them. As two way radios go they are very reliable and have an excellent range. And as for the weather radio feature, they are one of the best bargains around... PS: If you are interested in an even cheaper pair of two way radios with the weather feature, check out the Cobra model at the link enclosed. I bought these for my son's 4th birthday. I read the Amazon reviews before making a purchase and boy does that help. For the money, I highly recommend these 2-way radios. We have been using them for about 3 weeks now and the battery has never run out at the end of each day. We just put them on the charger at night and the next day, they are good to go. Our relatives lives next door, and they have a 2-way so we are able to talk back and forth. It's been so nice for the kids and the adults!! We camp in the summer so I think the kids will get a lot of use out of these at the campground. My son is 4 ad daughter is 6, so they are too young for cell phones but these 2-way radio's will be perfect for them to stay in touch with mom and dad. The only downfall is the side button was a little difficult for my son to push in order to talk, but he has learned to hold it with both hands and able to push the button fine now. Totally recommend this product.

Who always has access to a sink after using jumper cables? What do you do when you're giving someone a jump on the side of the road, or in a parking lot?

Its front is the same size a regular car stereo, so big to fit anywere
Thus, it don't autoconect at all
Even the recording function only records in memory, so if you want to move the recording to computer, you'll have to play on it's own speakers and record with an external recording device
The battery also dont last more than few minutes by itself, probably it's an old stock, with deffective parts
This goes to garbage, and the good thing is it didn't cost much
