My husband is a trucker. I bought it so he could have hot meals in his truck and save money. The first time he used it, the plug melted in the outlet. No crock pot. No hot food. This thing is great. I plug it in the 12v socket in my travel trailer and sit the cooker in the sink on a piece of that rubbery stuff that RVers use to keep things from sliding in cabinets. I really enjoy this small portable crockpot! Instead of stopping at fast food joints while traveling, at least once, we can stop at a lovely reststop, pull out the plates, and enjoy whatever good thing has been tantilizing us while we drive! My only complaint is that the three little legs on the bottom all it to tilt a bit, spilling some juice out even with the elastic band on it. Being a problem solver, I've worked out something, but if I was to buy another, I'd look for one with four posts on the bottom, not three.

The solar panel itself is fine and works acceptably for charging some devices directly, but for me the battery device it connects to is the weak point. The solar panel has a USB out that connects to the battery pack, and that pack has, oddly, a proprietary output with tips that allow it to charge devices. One thing to be aware of, the included tips don't include micro-usb, which has become the defacto standard for most new smart phones. The kindle keyboard I have uses micro-usb, and connected directly to the panel, there is not enough current to charge the kindle. The included battery does charge my old HTC T-mobile MyTouch android phone, but only has enough capacity to charge the battery about 40%, which is pretty disappointing to me considering the panel was in a window on a sunny day, aimed at the sun throughout the day. I had hoped to attach this to a pack and let it charge the battery throughout the day, but the performance just isn't there. The panel itself is fairly light and compact, the holder it is in is relatively heavy and bulky (something to note for lightweight hikers), and has a clear plastic film that covers the panel, making me wonder how much it affects performance. I may try pairing this panel with a 5,000 mAh battery and seeing if that works better, but as a package, I can't recommend this as is.

I have a reliable Kawasaki l9.2 volt drill but the battery charger went kaput. Looked for a replacement and found the charger was a recall. Finding this replacement on Amazon allowed my continued use of the drill and saved a few dollars that I didn't have to replace my drill.

Now, on to the battery: These have worked well for me in multiple applications from HD trucks to multi-amp-ed Trans Am's and even an off-road Jeep. I've never had one fail until now but be aware that these are not "plug-and-play" batteries like a wet lead-acid type that most people use and/or grew up with when it comes to charging. I'd suggest visiting Optima's web site and reading the differences between their Red, Yellow and Blue top batteries so you understand their application and the type of care and feeding they require. The Yellow covers both cranking amps for starter motors as well as deep-cycle capacity for applications with a large amperage draw such as amplifiers and accessories like winches and such. I've averaged over 6 years out of each battery until I had this one fail and two were going strong when the vehicles left my possession.
I'm guessing that a number of those who are saying this is a bad battery or doesn't last haven't taken the time to learn about them. They can be drained completely down and yet recover where a standard battery won't. But, and it is a big but, they must be recovered following very specific procedures and no, you can't simply hook up a charger and expect it to recover automatically. Do some research and you'll confirm what I already know, these are not standard batteries and yes, they are better than your standard wet-cell batteries, in my opinion. For me, they've outlasted every other type of battery I've used and are what I buy when the stock battery dies or when I need more power for accessories. Peace.

There's a lot of un-due praise for Optima batteries. I believe their reputation is over deserving. Granted batteries don't last long in Phoenix, I was expecting more than the 2 years I got out of my Yellow Top Optima; their capacity and life is not much different than cheaper quality batteries.Negs:
The warranty is very poor, nowhere near the level of the competition.
I expected a quality deep cycle AGM to last a lot longer than just over 2 years.
Pros:
Worked well under heavy current loads. I run 5 amplifiers that draw about 80-100 amps. The Optima helped buffer the headlight-dimming effect I used to have w/ my stock battery.
Overall a good battery, but at this heavy price I would expect a battery to have a warranty to back it up past 18 months and to last longer than 2 years. If you're spending this much, check out the Diehard Platinum or others first, you'll be glad you did.

This is a great battery as long as you buy it from an authorized dealer. AMAZON is not and this voids the warranty!!! I have one that went bad just before the 3 year FREE replacement, which is very unusual with Optima batteries. The manufacturer won't honor warranty because Amazon is not an authorized distributor, they show a warranty link (bad advertizing), If you contact Amazon they say it's only good for 30 days. Terrible deal and have found it online for $20 cheaper, free shipping, and warrantied. Very disappointed with Amazon. First of all, I am a dedicated AGM fanatic, and I won't use leaky wet-cell batteries. That said, I'm not sure if Optima is my brand any more. They just don't seem to last very long. This one was in very intermittent use, kept on a trickle charger, and gave up the ghost after 4 years of really light duty. The failure mode was a lost cell cranking voltage dropped to 7V. I'm trying out the Lifeline product line in several places maybe it will be better than Optima's so-so history with me.The above said, Optima batteries are better purchased at your local auto parts store that is an authorized dealer for the following reasons:
1. In the event of a warranty issue, it will be a simple swap.
2. Eliminate the wait and reduce shipping angst. Although an Optima battery is quite rugged, when shipped in a flimsy cardboard box and then tossed around and dropped by a careless courier, the impact by the battery's heavy bulk can cause its plastic case and the internal connections to weaken, crack, or break.
3. You can visually inspect a unit for physical damage from mishandling. Missing retaining fingers around the vent covers is a subtle but tell-tale sign that the unit has been mishandled.
4. You can check the voltage before walking out of the store with your new battery.
Hint: This is a long-lived product -purchase through a store chain (franchise) if you anticipate relocating within three years, and do not lose your receipt.
If you insist on purchasing an Optima battery online, your best bet is to order from Optima itself directly. This is the only instance that Optima (the manufacturer) will deal with you directly and give you a replacement battery. Otherwise, all warranty issues are addressed through the authorized dealer where you purchased your Optima battery.

Plain and simple, don't bother with this product. It pales in comparison to the updated model. This model shifts around and isn't as clean looking as the new model. It also doesn't always charge my iPod Classic...which didn't charge properly for a lot of auto chargers (I tried about 5 different ones). Just skip this product and get the new version...it is worth the extra money. Read my review of the updated model below:

This is a good product, probably the best auto charging dock available (I've tried quite a few). I own an iPod Classic 80GB (and iPhone 3G) and it charges and plays them just fine. The product arm itself is strong and doesn't move a bit. The holding dock itself (comes with a variety of docks for all your iPods) allows you to rotate it. This does move. It's stiff at first, but once you break it in it will start twisting a bit on a large iPod. Nano's probably won't budge at all. It's not horrible, it probably rotates about 10 degrees in either direction when I take turns. It usually goes back though, so it isn't the end of the world.
I will say the holders themselves, while there are many to choose from, really don't have much support for the product. There is no backing to them at all (except one which doesn't appear to fit my iPod classic, iPhone, or nano). No worries though, the iPod still manages to stay in place without a problem (and they ride in a Pontiac G8).
Overall, 4 out of 5 stars. If it was solid as a rock, I would give it 5...but it's pretty close. Again, if you own a Nano, this thing probably won't budge at all. The iPod Classic will rotate a little, but not much. If you don't want it to move at all, I suggest getting a Belkin TuneDok (goes in a cup holder) or a vent clip model.

Okay, since I have only owned this for a week and it is already "breaking", it should get a 1 Star rating. However, there are some positives to it and maybe you will get one that holds up.I wanted an iPod charging unit and had no need for the FM transmitter so I went with this unit. I have an AUX (auxillary) jack on my car stereo and you can't get any better sound quality from an iPod than playing through it. Plus, It was much cheaper than purchasing a unit with an FM transmitter.
PROS:
1) The Design. Flexible neck. Good height, about 8 inches, and it allows the unit to be easily moved around to not interfere with radio or Air conditioning controls. When I first plugged it in I thought "This is great. A good sturdy unit" I was wrong though...see the CONS.
2) the AUX jack. You can plug the mini-stereo cord into the front of the cigarette lighter charger plug and then into your AUX (auxillary) jack of your stereo. That way you only have to drop the iPod in and take it out. No cords to plug in and out.
CONS:
1) The plug for the cigarette lighter has a big rubber gasket on it to "prevent slipping". The problem? It only worked for about a week before the rubber would no longer stay stiff enough to keep the unit from swinging to the right or left and having the iPod hang upside down!!
I was very disappointed this product only lasted a Week and have now printed a return label to send it back.
I was worried that this might eventually become a problem. I just had no idea it would only take a week for the rubber gasket/cigarette port to start sliding. Just as a note, it does stay IN the socket, put it doesn't stay stationary (it swings/slides) so it is not a stable unit for my iPod.
2) The hi/low switch and AUX jack. I found my sound quality was louder and clearer if I plug the stereo cable in between the headphone jack of the iPod and the AUX jack on the stereo. If I plugged it in to the charger unit, on Low power, it sounded very muffled. On high power, it sounded "okay" but not as good or loud as using the headphone jack.
So, I am not getting back online to find an alternative unit. I'll probably have to purchase a 'fixed' position unit that also has an FM transmitter because that seems to be the majority of what is out there. We'll see.
Bottom line, I cannot suggest this unit to anyone because it doesn't function as described.
I just bought one of these for my wifes car too (a Nano version). We'll see if it lasts.

I got this product after reading other reviews and was hoping that Griffin either did a silent update and addressed the high-pass/low-pass issues, but they hadn't. It's horrible and I have to plug my audio connection directly to the iPod (btw, I'm using the new Classic 160gb). My car's interior (Acura TL) is black, so it looks perfect inside + my black iPod. I connect it to my black cassette adapter, so the wire isn't really noticeable. As much as I wanted to get the comparable product by Ten Technology, it's nearly impossible to find.The goose neck is pretty sturdy. I've used it for about a month now and it hasn't gone loose on me yet. For a video iPod, this is an ideal stand, it's not clunky like some of the other car adapters, and keeps your iPod video visible so you can see all your cool visuals. If i could find the Ten Tech connector, I'd get that instead, even tho it's not a cool black like this one, the audio (I hear) works perfectly.
Be aware, the description of this product says that it comes with a cassette adapter, however that doesn't apply to this bundle.

This device is ideal for the ones that have a car stereo with an auxiliary in jack. Most cigarette lighters in cars are at an easy to reach place. So the tuneflex will also have your ipod at hands reach. The sound is as good as it gets. It's probably the only device that combines reloading of the ipod battery with an auxiliary output. The only thing that bothers me a bit is more a flaw in the ipod design as it is a tuneflex flaw. The display light is to bright to drive with at night. Perhaps a tinted screen could fix that problem. I'll give the people at Griffin a hint.Great sound quality.

1) Yes, it is a bit on the loud side. The motor has virtually no sound insulation with the obvious reason of keeping the weight and size minimal. This really is not a big deal as you are probably only using it for a couple minutes at a time. I'm actually a bit shocked that so many people seem to have such a problem with the noise. From the reviews you'd think that they are holding a jet engine in their hand. If you have any experience with power tools or shop vacs, the noise is a non-issue, just don't use it next to someone napping on the couch!!
2) The suction power for its size and weight is exceptionally good. It is SO much better than a traditional hand vacuum that it's really not comparable. My Hoover wet-dry hand vac was instantly rendered pointless and offered to my neighbor as a gift.
3) No, the capacity is not terribly large, but it is not designed for picking up a great deal of material. If you're concerned about this, know that opening the container and emptying it is extremely simple and quick. If it's still not big enough, you obviously need a shop vac, not this.
4) Yes, if you are vacuuming up fine particles such as drywall dust or fine sawdust, the filter clogs fairly quickly and you will start to lose suction. The filter is probably actually a bit TOO good for very fine particles. Nothing gets through it. Both a positive and negative really. My recommendation is to simply remove the cylinder type filter after EVERY use with fine material and clean it by smacking it a few times on your palm over a garbage can, preferably outside. The filter comes out extremely easily after the collection container is removed. Just a quarter turn and it pops off. Simple and fast. As a general rule, cleaning the filter regularly is a must to keep the suction high.
On the whole, an excellent item. I would however recommend to anyone from Dewalt reading these reviews to seriously consider including a crevice tool to attach to the hose. It would be an excellent addition and could be mounted on some sort of external clip on the side of the housing or perhaps the housing itself could have a storage opening engineered into the body of the housing itself to slide the tool into to store it when not using it. Other than this minor gripe, I have no complaints. I intend to go out and find a crevice tool that fits the hose, 1 1/4 inch, but I really shouldn't have to at this price, it should come with one.Just got this vacuum today and it is great. Has wonderful suction. Other reviews talk about it being noisy. This is not true. It is no louder than any other dust buster. I bought it without the battery as we have plenty of them from other Dewalt tools. I have already thrown away my dust buster. Highly recommend it.I call this One-Bad-Mamma-Jamma dustbuster! My wife calls it the Roach-Sucker. If you pull the hose out of the nozzle you can stretch it out and chase down even the most wiley roach. Just get the nozzle close the the little runner and he's toast. Oh, remember to empty it out before the roach starts decaying in the bin...
This is not a toy like every useless rechargeable dustbuster. It's a real shopvac, just smaller. It has enough suction to replace a low-end shop vac, but be warned, it is about as loud as a full size vac too.
The bare tool is a great way to get the vac at a reasonable price if you already have an 18v drill or whatever. You'll toss out the crappy little dust buster and never look back. Just be careful cleaning up really fine dusty messes, it is difficult to clean stuff like drywall dust out of the filter.

I got this for my wife as a portable vac for the house. I was tired of the home, portable vacs that die all the time and only last a few years. Although this is a little bigger and heavier, it has twice the power and capacity and, can suck up liquids as well, and is easier to empty. I will build a rack to hang it in a closet. It only costs about 20% more than the poor quality portable home vacs. Because I have 1/2 a dozen Dewalt tools that use this battery (I have 4 batteries and two chargers), I know I will always have a charged battery for the unit. It doesn't come with any attachments but I found that my central vac tools fit on the Dewalt hose (which is quite short by the way). Believe it or not, it was a perfect Christmas present for her. She was thrilled!

Overall works well, the xProDoc is a high quality unit that holds my Note II well in place, and after researching all available docks/holders for the Note II, The iBolt is the winner. The Note II stays in place with little or no vibration when driving.*The features are fantastic, but I would like to to see an added update where you as the owner can have the option to turn off the features that runs automatically: *the speed of your vehicle (MPH) and the *ongoing map location (live updating). I prefer a clean look on my cellular screen with not so much objects to read as you drive.
I also have the Galaxy SIII and purchased the iBolt Dock made specifcally for the cellular. Those simple and clean features that works for the Samsung GII cell, I would like to see-it duplicated on the xProDock as optional. Again, this XProDock is a nice quality made unit and works well.
