Garmin Nuvi 1300, 1350, 1350T Car and Wall Charger

Garmin Nuvi 1300, 1350, 1350T Car and Wall Charger
  • Gives you the flexibility to charge your navigation unit at home or on vacation
  • Lightweight unit restores power to your navigation system
  • Safely charges the battery on your GPS while driving
  • IC Chip recognizes a full battery & automatically switches to saver modeing and overheating)

I bought this so I would have another car charger for my Garmin nuvi 1390. My Garmin gets its power from a standard USB Mini which both the car charger and wall AC charger provide.

When I plugged my Garmin into the car charger my Garmin nuvi 1390 thought it was connected to a computer at first. It then figured it out and came on. While that would be a little annoying it's not the real problem.

When I had my Garmin plugged into the car adapter it would run for a few minutes, then it would go off, then come back on for a few minutes, then go off, then come back on ... Anyway you get the picture.

I haven't decided if I'm going to try to return. The shipping cost more than the item did.

I wish I could give it no stars.

Got what I expected for a good price. When it arrived, I was surprised how light the package was and wondered about the quality. However it all has worked flawlessly. The AC charger is very handy to charge it up before a trip, or for a walking trip. The car charger is a back-up. You should be aware that when you use it, you loose the traffic feedback for the NUVI 1350 since the FM receiver is integrated into the original car charger and it is not included in the one that comes with this package. But the price is right!

On the plus side, product was received in a very timely manner, and was exaclty as pictured.

Unfortunately, these are NOT Garmin chargers. These are USB chargers. When used with the Garmin Nuvi, all they do is cause the Nuvi to cycle through the computer syncing mode over and over. The battery does not charge, and you cannot use the Nuvi to navigate.

I have contacted the seller but have not heard back from them. If you have a USB phone or other device that does charge using a USB port delivering USB voltage, then these items will have other uses around your home.

But if, like me, you wanted to be able to charge and program your Nuvi at home, and have a spare 12V cord for a second vehicle, DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.

I gave my dad the Garmin GPS as a gift and threw this in as almost an afterthought when it popped up on Amazon as one of the "Items most often purchased" list. I thought, for such a cheap price, what's to loose? I guess in this case there was little to gain, because these apparently worked for a while but the home plug in has long since stopped working. I guess that is the gamble you make in buying cheaper, off brand products. I have done it in the past with chargers for cell phones with a lot of success, so maybe this particular type is bad, or I just got the unlucky bad apple. Buy with few hopes!

This power supply did not work to charge our Garmin nuvi 1350T GPS at 120V.

  • Reserve capacity of 90 minutes for constant performance
  • Optimal starting power even in bad weather
  • Fifteen times more resistant to vibration for durability
  • This item is not for sale in Catalina Island

The battery died on my Scion tC and I went straight to Amazon to find a new one. I have had an optima Red-Top in my Prelude for about 6 years now and it still runs strong (Worth it for just the winter starts alone), so I naturally went for the same battery this time. As far as the battery is concerned:

......Works great right out of the box

......Battery was charged enough from the factory to get the car started right out of the box.

......Size and weight are very close to the OEM tC battery, It fit right in place with no mods. (Also, I do agree with the previous poster who said the terminal protector case would serve great as a booster to pick the battery up an inch or two. It's just a square piece of plastic)

As far as the shipping and packing by Amazon is concerned:

......First, I'll admit, I was concerned about the shipping based on what I read in the other reviews, but I know Amazon is on top of most problems pretty quickly and I was hoping they had addressed the packing issue by now. So I went ahead and ordered.

......Well, as soon as I opened it up, It was obvious they fixed the packing problem. It was packed VERY well. You can see in the pictures that the used chunks of cardboard pieces sandwiched between an inner and outer layer on all four sides. No cheap popcorn or anything.

......The battery arrived with no dents or scratches

......Never doubt Amazon, my son.

All and all....a great buy!

I have owned several Optima Red and Yellow top batteries, and these are about as good as it gets. To get any better, you'd have to spend twice as much money.

This was my first Optima battery purchase from Amazon. Order processing and shipping was first rate (as usual). The 'doorstep' price (with free super saver shipping) was better than any I found online or at a local retailerand I spent a lot of time researching my purchase beforehand.

Changing a car battery usually only takes a few minutes and a few wrenches or sockets, and I'm sure that as long as you choose the right size battery for your car it will work well. The application guide on the item page accurately included my vehicle.

I have to say that I had a little problem with my shipment arriving damaged, but Amazon stepped right up to the plate and hit a home run with their first-rate customer service. I was initially hesitant to purchase this because of the 'no returns on hazardous stuff' disclaimer, but rest assured that Amazon stands behind its products. And after my experience, I would strongly recommend Amazon for a car battery purchase.

I didn't realize what a straightforward way this was to get a battery for my Jeep Liberty. I was looking for a replacement for the original 5 year old battery and was pleased to find at the Optima Batteries web site they had one that fit my 2002 Jeep Liberty. I quickly found the battery on Amazon.com at a great price. The battery went right in my Jeep with a simple socket wrench. My local recycling guide pointed to somewhere to take the old one. The extra starting power is great.

Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Motorcycle Covers w/ Lock & Cable

  • Premium quality, all weather cover
  • Includes lock and 3' cable
  • No hassle 2 year warranty
  • fleece lining around windsheild and fuel tank areas
  • Fits Sportster 1200 and Custom Models

I purchased the cover for my sweet Sporty 1200 and received it in about a week and half. Took it out of the box and threw it on.. what a fit, perfect. It pretty much encloses the entire bike with small bungee's to cross under to secure to another eyelet. It has a soft material on the inside of the cover where it would go over a windshield if you had one which I do. I am very pleased with the purchase not to mention the cost... Good purchase in my book.

It fits my 2007 Harley Nightster 1200N like a glove.

As other reviewers have pointed out, it does seem fairly thin, but that's the downside to packing into such a small package, and being so light. I wouldn't use it for offseason storage outside, but for covering the bike while parked downtown, or to keep the dust off while in my garage, it's perfect.

Kudo Solar Case with HDMI for iPad2 / iPad3 - Grey

Kudo Solar Case with HDMI for iPad2 / iPad3 - GreyAs an original participant through the Kickstart program, I have used both the original LilyPad and the subsequent Kudo Pad. Because I received a copy before they went public, I have had mine for several months. My original color was this light gray, although I switched to the light blue for the second generation. Both are nice colors, but the gray is more neutral.

Without the case, my normal usage on my heavily used iPad is only about 5 hours. As the pastor of three churches, my iPad IS my office, and I very much need it constantly. Prior to having the Kudo, I would have to have my iPad on a charger for much of the day.

My usage with the Kudo case varies, based on what I am doing, but it is always a minimum of 2 1/2 days. This includes about an hour of movie watching per day, and a significant number of hours doing research on the Internet, plus using Bluetooth accessories, and a few games of scrabble each day.

However, on a recent trip, I strictly used my iPad for audiobooks, about 12 hours per day. Since I didn't have WIFI, I had it on airplane mode. During the trip, it sat on the seat next to me, in the sunshine. After 2 1/2 days of travel, both iPad and case were still at 100%.

The good:

The case totally encloses the iPad. I have actually accidentally dropped my iPad on more than one occasion, and was very grateful for the case. It is a piece of armor!

The length of time it stays charged, especially when I have loads of sunshine

The fact that it charges my iPad while I use it

Very good magnetic cover works well

Made with recycled materials

If I have a cord along, I can use it to charge my iPhone.

The not so good

It is not an easy stand to deal with. OK for widescreen, not so good for reading

A bit heavy it doubles the weight of the iPad

After a few months of use, one of the legs broke

When the cover is closed, and you are using the iPad, it does not charge (or anytime it is locked)

So why do I give it five stars? Because I have found nothing better. It protects and charges my iPad without wires, and I never, ever, have to worry about it.

Every Sunday morning, I put my iPad into the case and travel to three churches keeping all of my notes in front of me. During this time I drive 80 miles and conduct services at three churches. At the end of that time my case is down by 25% and my iPad is at 100%.

While I enjoy my 5700mAh External Battery Power Bank 360 Degrees Rotating Stand Case Holder for NEW iPad, iPad 2 3G Tablet, and Ipad 3 Purple, the mere fact that it requires a cord to connect the battery in the cover to the iPad makes it a bit more difficult. Still, it is a cheaper alternative if the cord isn't an issue, and it doubles the life of my iPad. I use it at home on days when my usage is lighter, or when I want a classier look, since the Kudo is pretty basic.

My title tells you most of the story about this. It will pass some power from one car to another thru the lighter outlets, but we're talking "trickle charge" power, not "Instant starting/boost" power. If you have a good car battery but left your lights on while you went into a movie or such, this can recharge it, but will probably take 15-30 minutes (or more depending on how totally drained it is). However, if the dead car battery is bad and won't hold a charge, you don't want to wait that long, or you have other car problems (like something draining power), this won't work for you and you're better off with the old jumper cables. They say in the manual "Let it charge for 5 minutes until the green LED comes on, then disconnect it and try starting the car" followed by "If it doesn't start, let it charge another 5-10 minutes and try again", but at the under 5 amp rate I'd bet my 15-30 minutes minimum is more realistic.

Some other details if your interested, this device actually "Pumps" power where I connected it between 2 batteries and the "Good/source" battery dropped to 12.5V while the "Bad/charging" battery went up to 15V (and since I know 15V+ is "Overcharging", I pulled the plug there). Seeing the voltage go that high tells me it doesn't regulate the output power (and they even say on the box "Puts out 16-17V"), so you'd never want to use this to connect 2 batteries together and go off leaving them. I also checked the current draw and it pulled 2.7 amps while putting 1.8 amps into the other battery. My battery I tested with may not have been very drained, but still the

Does what it says and does it well. I have the newest Macbook Air i5 and it fits perfectly. The 12v plug end has a soft blue light to let you know its on. This might annoy some people when it is pitch black but I like it because it lets you know its on and in a car bouncing around things come loose now and then. The other end that plugs into the computer also has a soft light that changes color to let you know its charging and turns green when its done. This light is very soft and shouldnt annoy anyone. I also love the extra USB port. I use that for my iphone. Great product for the price.

Instapark® NEW All Black 5W Mono-crystalline Solar Panel with 12V Solar Charge Controller

Instapark® NEW All Black 5W Mono-crystalline Solar Panel with 12V Solar Charge ControllerThis solar panel combo is a solar panel plus a charge controller plus clamps all preassembled and ready to go. Set it out in the sun, attach the clamps to a meter, and you should get what I got 20V at .3 amps. My panel came in good condition inside a solid cardboard box within another box. Your mileage may vary. I am pleased with the construction overall, but it does not look overly rugged. You won't want to casually toss it around too much, but it should mount nicely to a solid surface. The aluminum frame has mounting holes on the back, but the clearance is very limited.

I have a Brunton foldable solar panel that cost ten times as much and only puts out 3 times the amps (same voltage).

I will be buying a larger Instapark product in the future. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is a pretty good little solar panel. I bout this to keep the battery on my camper topped off while not being used.

The Good: Panel performs as expected. In full bright sun I measured around 350mA at about 20V (7 Watts!) The size is nice and small (about the size of a sheet of paper) as compared to the amorphous panels which are much larger for the same wattage. The cable from the panel's junction box to the charge controller is nice and long.

Th Not So Good: The cover for the junction box on the back doesn't quite seal all the way around on mine. I put a small bead of caulk around it. Also the charge controller does NOT appear weatherproof. As a matter of fact it has a USB port on the side of it that is not sealed. My solution was to encase it in a weatherproof electrical box and run the wires out from there. Also, the clamps are small. Finally, the thickness of the frame is very small which makes mounting with the moutning holes challenging.

Overall though, I like this panel and would buy it again.

Appears to be very well made and a good value for the price except for the clamps. The clamps are too small for the products intended use and tinny. I easily destroyed one of the clamps when trying to grip the 12v battery pole. I cut the original clamps off and replaced them with the appropriate clamps I purchased at Radio Shack.

SOLAR PANEL: This panel is very well made, reliable, and seems quite weatherproof. It puts out the full 5 watts in bright sunlight. I put some silicone caulk where the wire exits the back of the panel, just to be safe.

CHARGE CONTROLLER: The housing is definitely not weatherproof, but it does work properly. Some reviewers reported rusted connectors. Mine arrived without any rust. I created a battery box for an electric fence. The solar panel is mounted on top of the box, and the solar charge controller is inside the box with the battery and the fence energizer (protected from weather).

Don't use it with a large panel (as one reviewer did), because it's only designed to take a small current. It is rated for only 3 amps. 3 amps x 12 volts = 36 watts. So ... don't hook up more than 36 watts of 12-volt solar panels to this charger.

Another reviewer said the charger allows the battery to discharge into the solar panel at night. That's not really true. I did many tests and figured out what is going on. There is a green "Power" LED light on the charge controller. That light is on whenever it is connected to the battery. That light draws about 5 milli-amps from the battery at night, which is negligible. During the day, the solar panel powers the green LED.

So ... when the solar panel gets no power from the sun, electricity flows from the battery to the green LED. But that is the only draw on the battery. I tested it, and there is no current flowing into the solar panel from the battery. The 5 milli-amp draw is minimal, and really has no effect on the battery at all. Consider that during bright sunlight, the panel pours about 400+ milli-amps into the battery. Even that amount is just considered a "trickle" charge.

I put a blocking diode (1N4001) between the battery and the charge controller, which even blocks the 5 milli-amp discharge at night. Now the green "Power" light only comes on when the panel gets light.

I also verified that the charge controller stops charging the batter when it reaches about 13 volts. That protects the battery from being over-charged.

Hope this helps.

Want Instapark® NEW All Black 5W Mono-crystalline Solar Panel with 12V Solar Charge Controller Discount?

Solar panel looks great, except its the wrong one (2 oval solar tabs vs the rectangular tabs displayed in the picture). The back of the housing says 22V instead of 12V . I'll test out the amps as soon as I get a new fuse for my multimeter to see if its actually putting out 5 watts.

The charge controller on the other hand, obviously came overseas from China by boat. The small Ziploc bag it came in had a substantial amount of rust in it. The 6 terminals on the controller are completely rusted, and reduced the voltage from 11.3V to 2.1V after connecting it. I'll need to do some serious cleaning to get the rust off and see if its salvageable, but I would suggest ordering the panel without the charge controller, its not worth the $12 price difference.

Edit: I spent about 30 minutes cleaning the terminals (Put them over the tip of some pliers and scraped the rust off with a box cutter). Im now getting 21.5 volts straight from the panel, and 20.0 after connected to the charge controller. I talked to our electrical engineer at work and found out solar panels dont put out any amps on their own ("You need resistance to have amps"), but after connecting the panel to a battery, I was getting 20V at .19 amps, or 3.8 watts. He also said if the controller is doing its job, the 22V panel shouldnt fry the 12V battery during charging.

Motorola TalkAbout T5420 AA 2-Mile 14-Channel FRS Two-Way Radios (Pair)

Motorola TalkAbout T5420 AA 2-Mile 14-Channel FRS Two-Way Radios
  • 14 channels
  • 2-mile range
  • 38 sub-channels
  • 5 audible call tones
  • VOX (hands free) capable

I used these radios for two purposes: to stay in touch with my firends on the mountain when skiing, and to talk to people in the other car on the road. In both cases, they worked perfectly. In the past, I had experience with similar radios without privacy codes, and it was a nightmare at a big ski resort because all channels were busy most of the time, and you had to listen to all that chatting to make sure that you do not miss a call from someone from your party. As you can imagine, skiers and boarders use such radios quite often. The privacy codes which this radio is equipped with eliminate interferences with other people completely and reliably better than I could expect. You still share the same 14 channels with the other people using the principle "only one radio can transmit at a time", but you do not hear the other people talking unless they use the same privacy code as you do. The only way how you know that the channel is in use is blinking on the display. Setting the privacy code to zero enables you to communicate with people with the older radios without the privacy codes.

The radios are compact, and have long battery life. Typically, a set of 3 AA batteries lasts 3-4 days. The reception is clear and loud. The settings of the channel and subchannel can be locked, which is great because this prevents inadvertent switching to another channel when one or another button gets accidentally pressed in your pocket. If this happens, the most difficult part is to recall what setting you used before! The radio also has a "scan" function which I never used and find useless because it is good only to get out of the radio noise and conversations of the strangers. The range of the radio is decent (Motorola claims up to 2 miles in an open area), although it may not to work if you get separated from your party by a mountain ridge. A longer range can only be reached if you use more powerful radios which work in GMRS frequency band and require a government license (which costs, I think, about seventy bucks per year). The last but not least, these radios are weather-resistant and will not get damaged by sweat and moisture accumulated inside of your jacket.

It is my understanding that different brands and models of FRS radios use the same standard, they are compatible, and they all have the same basic features. They difference is only in (a) weight, (b) size, (c) sound quality, (d) weather resistance, and (d) availability of privacy codes. This Motorola is not the cheapest radio on the market, but you get a good value for the dollars paid as it is a well-built compact weather-resistant radio with a good sound quality.

Some of the reasons why this offering from Motorola is nearly the best bang for your buck:

(1) Sleek, compact design and pamperingly light-weight

(2) Tone singalling...a tone indicating either party is done talking

(3) Talk button on the side for easy reach

(4) Easy to open battery compartment

(5) A quick release belt clip that snaps into a built in socket, seems more reliable than the Nokia style clips

(6) A water-resistant plastic casing and a changeable faceplate feature (redwood or black)

(7) Apart from the standard 14 channels, 38 privacy subchannels to help keep outside chatter from interrupting your conversations

(8) Built-in support for voice-activated transmissions

(9) Excellent signal, great up to nearly one and a half mile range

(10) Astounding battery life, close to 30 hours nonstop for me

(11) Sensibly designed charger with two bays that will either take the radio itself or the battery pack with an included spacer

(12) And most importantly, an un-ignorable price!

You may also want to consider one of Motorola's vox accessories for hands-free communications -their handsets are crystal clear, perhaps best on market in terms of quality, but just a LITTLE pricey.

Anyway, this radio comes highly recommended from me if you are in the market for one of these thingies.

I purchased this reader because I am an avid DIY person. I have another reader (not this type) that was giving me an error when trying to read my 2006 Dodge Mega-cab diesel. I like to be informed before I take my car or truck into the shop. Some time you can get the (CEL) check engine light for the slightest little hiccup. Makes you a little nervous when you are running down the freeway towing a 5th wheel. This little device is very powerful, reads the error and tells you what it is. No books to carry. I have used it on 5 different vehicles, 2 diesel and 3 gas. It told me what the error was and allowed me to clear them. I would not recommend junk, this thing is nice. Don't let the small size fool you, good things do come in little packages. I give this device 5 stars. It is a money saver

There was a wrong spark plug installed prior to my purchase. If I had taken the car to a garage, I would have paid the purchase price of this code reader for the diagnosis alone. I changed all 4 plugs myself for $26. I recommend every car owner to own a code reader. They are basically plug 'n' play nowadays and will pay for themselves in 1 use. I bought the Pocket Scan Plus after having an Equus 3030 Innova. The Pocket Scan Plus is very easy to use and it displays the actual code definition instead of having to look up in a booklet like with the Equus, but it contains lead in the cable. So you have to remember to wash your hands after using it. Also if you have a car like a Toyota Sienna the port on the car will have a little nub that that will get stuck inside of the code reader's plug and there is no way of getting it out without wrestling the thing and using a slotted screwdriver to chisel it out. Then you end up scratching the code reader up and almost breaking you cars OBD port. We called the company and they said that it happens pretty often and that you pretty much have to break it to get it off. The Equus is designed so that it will not get stuck on the car. I am returning this one and buying another Equus. Its fine, just make sure the cars port does not have a little nub or you're going to have a wrestling match.

I have only used it 4 or 5 times in the last year, and generally had to charge it before and then charged afterwards hoping that it would be ready the next time I needed it. I didn't use it for about two months and tried to charge it and it shows the charged and charging light on and it will not hold a charge.

Unless you plan on scheduling when your car is going to need a jump or can wait for endless charge times every time your battery goes dead I would advise to stay away from this product.

This is a great jump starter. However, it seems to take forever to attain a full charge (couple of days!). My first experience with these devices. Tried it new out of box and got nothing. After a day nothing. But after a couple of days SUCCESS in getting my old Bobcat skid steer loader with a bad battery and corroded leads to actually start. Now I am a believer!

I don't understand why all the hate for this nice battery. First of all, it clearly says that it requires 36 hours to charge it the first time. So ignore that complaint when reading the reviews.

This is a 18 AH sealed lead-acid battery. It will discharge over time. The instructions say to charge it every three months. It also needs to be charged after every use. Always keep the battery fully charged.

I went on a trip and used this three times to start my car last weekend. I did not charge it between uses, either. I used it again to start my kid's car last night. I am very happy with this product.

I bought this item last night. I charged it (17 hours) until the light turned green. We followed the instructions and nothing happened except for some sparks when I put the black terminal on to a metal part. I am unsure if we need to turn the jumper on. There is a red power button and a reset button that is not even explained in the manual. I will be getting a refund for this product.

Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus for iPod v2 - FM Transmitter/Charger for iPod

Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus for iPod v2 - FM Transmitter/Charger for iPod
  • Play your iTunes Wirelessly Through Any FM Station*
  • Compatible with all current Apple iPod models.
  • 3 programmable "favorite station" preset buttons and easy-to-read LED display.
  • Full FM tuning capability for clear sound anywhere*.
  • Smart Digital Charger for fast charges; maximizes battery life.

I got this product so my wife could play her Ipod in her car. I was extremely skeptical that it would work "auto sound" retailers had generally bad mouthed this type of product. And, i had tried something like this years ago, when the first generation of Ipods came out. But the alternative for my wife's car (Boxster) was to put in a new and different radio more than $800 in this case! I saw that there were some used/reconditioned versions of the product available on Amazon, and decided to try it.

IT WORKS PERFECTLY. My wife loves it. Ok, so you have some loose wires in the front seat, but my concerns about static and losing the station, blah, blah, have not surfaced. And, it is great that you can program up to 3 empty stations on your FM radio, just in case you travel through an area where the radio loses the signal you're using. But my wife sez that never happens anyway.

So, I give this product 2 thumbs up!!

Does what I need it to do! Play my music! And Charge my phone! Some stations get static but you have 3 options to change the channel too.

Worked great when it worked. However, after 4 weeks, it just stopped. There is no fuse or anything, so it's impossible to identified what failed. It's too bad, I really like the functionality of this x-mitter.

I just bought one of these for a car trip, and it turned out to be worthless. I got it to "work", if you can call it that, but only for about 5 minutes. The rest of the time, you couldn't hear it at all. I tried moving the transmitter around, changing the station, the broadcast power is just too weak.

At best there is a light to medium background static. Within a 60 mile drive I usually have to change stations 2 or 3 times to find a better signal. The rest of the time static is so bad I just turn it off. On a rare occasion I can get a decent signal and enjoy it but it never lasts long. Everything seems to interfere with it...hills, airports, military bases, even overpasses and bridges. Time to upgrade to a new stereo which I what I should have done in the first place.

Campbell Hausfeld CC 2300 Portable Inflator

Campbell Hausfeld CC 2300 Portable InflatorThe battery croaked after 5 years. I just bought the same thing again.

It will probably last longer if you follow the instructions. It's apparently a lead-acid battery and should always be recharged before it gets too low, which I did not do.

According to the manual, the battery has enough juice to completely inflate 8 car tires or run an 8 watt TV for 14 hours. Max output is 15 amps @ 12 volts.

Shop around. An orange logo home improvement place sells these for a good price.

PROs:

The CC2300 is perfect for tires.

The built-in pressure gauge and clip-on inflation hose make tire inflation a breeze.

You're going to waste money on gas unless maintaining your tire pressure is real fast and easy. This unit makes it real fast and easy.

It's compact. It has little compartments for all the accessories (charger, hose, 12 volt cord, extra fuse, etc.)

The switches and indicator lights are clear, sensible and ergonomic. The handle, and everything about it is to like.

The cigarette lighter socket lets you use it as a 12 volt power supply, and also lets you recharge the unit from your car's cigarette lighter. (I never used these features.)

CONs:

It has very low air volume for air mattresses or large beach toys. I wish they had doubled the air volume and maxed the pressure at 115 PSI instead of 230 PSI.

The pressure gauge reads about 4 lbs too high. Need to compensate.

It's "household quality" not industrial quality. One of the little compartment covers broke the first day I had it.

Strangely, you are not supposed to use it while plugged in to 110 volt AC.

This review is based on my using this product only a few times so I can't comment on its longevity or holding a long-term charge. I bought this because (1) I am too lazy to go to the gas station to put air in the tires and many gas stations don't even have air hoses anymore anyway, or else they charge you for air; and (2) by the time you get to the station the tires have warmed up and the pressure isn't accurate anymore.

The build quality of the unit is satisfactory. Everything is clearly labeled and the instructions are brief but clear. The hose and accessories fit tightly in the compartments provided and there isn't room for anything else in there.

I charged it overnight, hooked the air hose to my car tire and turned it on. It is pretty noisy and the air fills rather slowly but then this isn't an expensive compressor so I don't think it is realistic to expect anything more. It took about 30 seconds to add two pounds of air. The air hose made a tight clamp on the tire valve and the embedded tire gauge is adequate although it is best to use a more detailed gauge since the supplied one does not have marks for each pound of pressure, only in increments of 10 pounds. I noticed that the reading per the embedded gauge matched my separate tire gauge, however (which is also made by Cambell Hausfeld so maybe they're in cahoots with each other).

All in all, so far I am glad I bought this because it is much easier to add air in my garage instead of driving to the station. I just hope this thing lasts, which based on how it has performed so far, it should do the job for a while.

Note: I am adding this on July 31 after having used the unit for a while. It still works like I wrote above, but I find that it doesn't take that long for the yellow indicator light to come on telling you it needs to be recharged again. I'd say it lasts long enough to check the tires on two cars as long as none of the tires needs a lot of air (like maybe 2-3 lbs per tire at the most). However, you can always plug it into the cigarette lighter and use it and then you don't have to worry about the battery drain.

Well now I am adding something again on September 30. I've found this unit really does not keep a charge very long at all and the yellow light comes on before you can even finish with the 1st tire. If you plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet then it works fine (make sure the motor is running so you don't drain the battery) but otherwise, don't depend on this to provide air in the case of an emergency.

Purchased to replace portable air tank. I used it three times [two bicycle tires and partial inflation of car tire to 36 psi] over a period of approximately six months.

Attempted to inflate a water device and battery indicator was 'Low' after 3-5 minutes. After charging for four days, it still reads 'Low' and strange noises coming from the case but not enough air to inflate volleyball!

I bought this 4 months ago to replace a Campbell Hausfeld air compressor with almost 20 years of service. My old compressor used 12V DC current only (cigarette lighter)and this one has a built in battery. The battery is of little use to me because it won't hold a decent charge; it never really has despite charging according to directions. I charged it overnight for use this morning. The charge inflated the tire from 19 psi to 23 psi before going dead.....4 measly pounds on a "fully" charged battery. The tire size is 235 65 17, so not a small tire by any means, but 4 pounds?? I used the cigarette lighter cord to finish the inflation to 32 psi.

Sturdy construction, adequate length hose to reach valve stems at their highest point, fairly quick inflation compared to my old compressor. Storage area for cords WAY too small, expect to do some serious stuffing to fit these back into the storage space once they're unraveled....or you may even give up after a few minutes.

This is perfect for bicycle tires using only the internal battery. But, expect to use the cigarette lighter cord if you plan on inflating auto tires.

It's just frustrating when you expect a product to perform as you thought was advertised. Except for the small storage space, I would have absolutely no complaints on this product if it DIDN'T have the internal battery to begin with. But since it does, it should at least hold a charge enough to inflate a set of tires that are each a few pounds low. Ok, even 2 tires each a few pounds low would be borderline acceptable....but a single tire 4 pounds on a "fully" charged battery....not acceptable.

I have had two of these. The first overheated and burned out. The 2nd one when fairly new somehow jammed the piston at exact top and wouldn't turn. It kept blowing fuses. I took apart and moved by hand but when put back together it couldn't get pressure over 30 lbs. The air volume is very low too. I'm now shopping for a 110 volt unit with more air volume.

This little thing definitely works well for the cost. I have been using it off and on for a few months and it hasn't had any issues whatsoever.

Also, the USB port will charge ipods. I know that some won't for whatever reason, but was surprised to find this one did.
