Battery was fully charged, installed in workshop with 60watt solar panel. Worked fine until last weekend. Paid $150 for a battery that lasted less than 6 months....All I was using it for was 2 lights that were only in use when I was in barn which is only on the weekends. Not impressed or happy....

I have bought three of these gems. The first was bought as a gift, when I got to examine it I had to have one for myself. They have gotten me out of several jams already, flat or low tires, dead or low batteries, have even used them to operate power windows after the door switch failed. I keep one in each of my trucks and don't go anywhere without one with me. The powerpack is well made and designed, they make appreciated gifts. All of mine were shipped from Northern Tool through Amazon. You have to recharge the unit every 3 months or so as the charge will run down.Seems to be identical to the Cobra brand unit. I originally purchased this for camping and emergency power. While I haven't used it for an emergency yet, I have used it for a weekend camping trip. We were able to charge our cell phones, and laptop (to watch some movies at night), and recently used it to jump start my 4 wheeler. Very well made, the battery is a little small but much bigger would have made it to bulky and heavy to move around. All in all I would recommend this booster/generator to anyone who requires a portable power source simply excellent when camping.

This is $3.00(inc'l s/h). You gotta be kidding me. I bought a charger from ebay that was $5.00 that almost bricked my Zune; the touchpad did not work for hours. I came on Amazon, then, and after reading the reviews, I gave it another try. It shipped by mail, to your mailbox, not UPS or Fed-Ex, which is why the shipping is so cheap. It came in a box and a tamper-proof bag. Good choice, haha./ I opened it, and speculated the quality. It was hecka lot higher quality than I expected. No loose connections, or uneven structure. The cord is about 3 1/2 feet long, which is acceptable. There is a charge indicating light, which is pretty convenient, to which I'm sure sure is really necessary, or functional, but that doesn't matter. I plugged it in, and the input to the Zune was too big to fit the case; it is wider than the OEM charger that comes with the Zune. You also have to wiggle it in to fit the charger into the Zune input. But, it's a minor hassle. It charges right when plugged in, and I'm satisfied. From Lowe's (same author) This inverter has so far (about three weeks of use) proven reliable and easy to use. The question is does the average person need a "6000" watt inverter. From what I've learned, it depends mainly on what your appliance starting loads require, not the operating load. If you're going to run a modern refrigerator or microwave oven I've found the 3000 watt starts and runs ok. But I wouldn't recommend it for the big microwave ovens--the 3000 watt unit just can't keep up with the demand. A small airconditioner that has a 1000 watt operating consumption may well require 4000-5000 watts over 5-10 seconds to start its compressor. The 3000 watt inverter has been known to kick off line after only a couple of seconds at 4500 watts and therefore won't start the airconditioner. This 6000 watt inverter does well here with plenty of operating juice to keep stuff running, but puts a real drain on the batteries.

The inverter was exactly what I needed and it works very wells.. Has enough power to handle every thing we have plugged in to it, fridge, microwave, coffee pot and still has plenty of power, but is very heavy.. weighs 35 pounds..next time I will request different boxes for shipping.. We installed this unit and it worked for about two weeks then stopped working. We turned on the lights one morning and smoke started to poor out of the back of this unit. We quickly shut off the lights and unplugged the unit from the batteries. We tried the unit again latter that day, same thing, smoke. I am currently looking for another option at this point. Amazon was good to accept this return. However, I was bummed to have to pay the $65.00 UPS shipping and insurance.

I've used three other chargers and the "Multi US 25000" is the best! It saved three of my expensive AGM batteries. Sure, I wish it had a digital readout 'cause I like eye-candy but I'm not too lazy to put the volt meter on the battery(s). Nice heavy cables/clamps and soldered too. Temp sensor on the positive clamp. I do wish they had made the battery cable in such a way that I could reach further than 31 inches between the positive and negative battery posts (battery bank).
