This thing is mostly excellent as well as cheap. The signal is strong. The usb charger works. The only major problem is that the flexible support that hold the phone up won't really stay in place. Eventually, I found a position in which my phone stayed, but it was a hassle to get it there. The FM frequency is also a little more limited than my last FM transmitter.*edit. After owning this product for a while, the flexible support is really pretty annoying. If you are the type of person who gets frustrated by things like this, you might consider a different product.
With people talking about it flopping over, I haven't had that issue, it does move about a half inch to the heavy side once I have it where I want it, so I just over compensate, and it stays perfectly. I travel a long windy highway, and it stayed perfectly. I also position it pretty oddly so I can see, and use everything behind it. That is pretty impressive.
Only issue I have, which may be like all transmitters but I have never used one so I dont know; when I listen to the regular radio, it gets more staticy once I am a little outside the city. Even if I want to turn off the transmitter and need to use the charger it turns the transmitter back on. If one is on, both are.
Other wise, it charges fast, and it transmits strong.
For the price I think it is very good, and would buy it again.I bought this item solely for the purpose of charging the phone in the car, so I don't have a wire attached and it's hands free. Love it!!! As far as the radio frequency and static, haven't had a problem with it. I'm buying another one for my mom.Some people's didn't work, mine works great... It might be a crapshoot, but mine worked first try, and at this price I am super stoked on it.

1. The USB charger works for all my iOS devices, including my iPad 2. But it doesn't support my Blackberry or my daughter's cell phone. I've seen this before with other USB chargers and I don't understand it. Isn't there a standard? Isn't it called Universal Serial Bus (USB) for a reason? UNIVERSAL? Since I don't understand why it doesn't work on my Blackberry, I can't ding the charger. But it's still frustrating.
2. The light was bright for about a week. Ever since, it has been very dim, despite the ambient light level. Covering the light sensor seems to have no effect. So either the sensor or the LED is faulty.
I can't really recommend this device since the light is far too dim to be useful. As I said, out of the package, it was very bright, but that was short-lived.

I was disappointed that the light on this went out after about 3 months of use. It still works as a charger, though. Until the light completely stopped working, it was a nice, little night light giving off just the right amount of light. The product is functional and especially useful for travel so I am not sure why it is called a home device. Older hotel rooms often lack outlets to charge the many items we all travel with. I also travel with a night light which I often have to leave unplugged to charge a device however, with this nightlight charger the problem is solved. A nightlight and charger all in one can be a very handy tool! This one is handy, but not the most effective of products.It definitely charges well. It obviously isn't anything fancy just a straight-up USB charger. But that can be handy, especially when you don't have an outlet adapter to attach to your USB charger cord. With four Kindles, two Fires, and two smart phones in our household, we'll take all the charging adapters we can get!
I did notice the comments of several people about the brightness of the night light function. I noticed that at first, as well. But, within a couple of weeks, the light had dimmed considerably. At that point it also seemed that the sensor had stopped sensing the difference between night and day. The bulb seems to put out the same amount of light whether it is dark or light in the room. As for the amount of light, it seems good enough to serve as a nightlight for a child if it is plugged in very, very close with nothing blocking the light. But it will not help illuminate a room for middle of the night trips to the restroom.
The product is worthwhile for the charger, but I'd go elsewhere for a nightlight.

I had had the Cyclops C15MIL, rated by the manufacturer 15 Million Candle Power, before I bought this from Amazon. I tested the light intensity output of both only to find out that not only were they identical, but they also fell far below the fantastic claims of 15 and 18 Million Candle Power. ... Actually candle power rating is such a misleading method of rating light output that it should be outlawed!Instead, I measured their Luminosity in terms of Lumen Units; both have registered identical readings of 1423 and 1417 Lumens respectively, where my older C15MIL scoring the negligibly higher rating.
I then removed both their Phillips 130 watt quartz halogen lamps and replaced them with a pair of Seoul H4 55 watt 6000K Xenon HID bulbs which were parts of an auto light replacement HID kit that I bought on eBay and hooked them to their Hella ballasts which came with the kit and tucked the ballasts under the reflectors where there is an ample volume for that. I resealed both spotlights, fully charged the batteries and turned them both on.

The light when new is fine. In about 6 months it started always having a dead battery making it necessary to be charged the 24 hours prior to anticipated usage (as if you schedule when you might need to look outside in the dark). The light when new would shine for over a half hour before needing a charge. In about 10 months it would only last 5-8 minutes and required the charge right before use, or the battery would not hold the charge. Now, my light is just dead. I paid like $100.00 for this light and I expect for the money that it would have lasted longer. I would buy a new battery for it, but I'm afraid the charger or charging circuit may not be any good and then I would only be spending more money on a junk product. It seems pretty cheaply made and I would not raise such a fuss about this product if it was like $25.00. At that price I would feel like I got what I paid for. So, now I am light shopping again.

This adapter is not made for the ipad. It will not charge the ipad. It is 1000 milliamp. An ipad needs 2000 milliamps to charge properly. Don't waste your money like I did. iPad users are well aware that it can be a challenge to find a charger that properly chargers iPads at full speed. Many iPod/iPhone chargers list iPad also, but charge them at a snails pace because they are not 10watts. This one specifically advertised 10w and was very cheap, so I decided to give it a try.I have used it extensively and can attest that this does indeed charge iPads at full speed. While it is extremely inexpensive, the only thing "cheap" about it is the plain-wrap packaging -which is jut fine by me. The manufacturing quality strikes me as just fine.
A previous reviewer mentioned that his device did not come with the CE logo as shown on the image; however, mine did in fact have this logo just as shown.
I highly recommend this for iPad users. I have used my first one for several months and have since ordered two more. If they ever fail me, I will update the review accordingly.

I have no idea why Amazon recommends this for the C330 GPS as it doesn't fit that model. I ordered it on Amazons recommendation and decided it is too much trouble to send it back. They need to check out what works with what. Be careful what they add as accessories as they may not work with the model you order.

Oh boy... Let me tell you my story:I don't drive my car much so I figure these things would keep my battery in good shape.
I bought two of these, figure if it works, I'll give one to my friend.
My battery on my car still works fine, just low since I don't drive it much.
I installed the device, 2~3 days later, when I try to start my car, it won't stop at all and no power to the car whatsoever, if I didn't install this thing, my car would still start, this thing not only didn't charge my battery, it did the opposite and drained my battery at a faster rate than it's natural 1% per day drain.
You thought maybe the product is DOA? Well, I installed the 2nd one since I bought two, 3 days later, still no power.
Conclusion:
This thing does not charge a 2008 Toyota Yaris, not only it doesn't charge, it also drain possibly harm your battery, I'll find out later today when my friend comes over for a jump start with a jumper cable, if it still doesn't start, then this product killed my battery when my battery was fine before I installed this, I really hope this thing didn't kill my battery.
Since my car is a pretty typical common economical car, if it doesn't work for my car, it wouldn't work for many cars out there, so beware. I would recommend those portable jump starter device, those are similar to the way you use a jumper cable and jump start with another car, except it has a battery to it so you don't need another car to do it.

There are two possible outcomes when the 12v outlet is overloaded: either you blow a fuse in your vehicle's fuse panel (which is a drag and costs you the price of a replacement fuse, but it's not the end of the world) or you burn up the wiring somewhere between the back of the 12v outlet and your car battery, which is really a disaster. It's one thing to fry the wiring on an RV where you can crawl underneath and isolate it and repair it, but it's a completely different animal when you burn up the wiring somewhere in the dash or under the hood of your Lexus. That can get pretty pricey to repair.
Long story short, overloading your 12v outlet is no joke. You really don't want to do it.
So what about this inverter? Well personally, I wouldn't want to try running a load over 130w in a 12v outlet. I just don't think it's worth the risk. So how do you know how much of a draw your devices will use? Try something like P3 International P4400 Kill A Watt Electricity Usage Monitor to measure the peak load and sustained load of the device. Then you'll know whether you're safe or not.
So what about this inverter? Can it handle the load? Frankly, I'm not willing to test it over 130w myself. I wouldn't use any inverter that large without connecting directly to my battery instead of going through the 12v outlet.
But this inverter does have one really nice feature. It has a replaceable 25 amp fuse. Hopefully this fuse will blow before the inverter would allow your 12v outlet to fry. Hopefully. If you blow this fuse, you can replace it with a 25a fuse from a kit like this one.
One other thing to be aware of with inverters like these, at a high rating like this, you need to expect some noise from the inverter. This one is no louder or quieter than any other inverter of this capacity that I've used.
Don't get me wrong. Even though I don't necessarily trust the claim that it puts out 150w of power, it's still a very sturdy inverter for a 12v type. It has two grounded outlets and two USB outlets. It also has a nice flexible neck in case your 12v outlet is hard to reach.

I upgraded from an iPhone 3GS to the 5 recently. Like most people, I was pretty disgusted that Apple neglected to include an adapter for the new pin design, and I vowed that I would avoid purchasing it all costs. So far, I've managed to hold out, but the one place that that has been a problem is in my car. My car has an integrated iPod/iPhone charger/player, but it's the old pin design. Then this handy Bolse device comes along and voila! I just plug it into my cigarette adapter, and I'm able to plug in my iPhone 5 and charge it. It's got a few drawbacks, the primary one being its size. It's quite bulky, and it may not fit in all automobiles. It does fit in mine, but obviously for some people, this could be a deal-breaker. I bought this charger couple days ago and I must say I love it. Let me first say that the main feature is the size this charger is very small and requires no additional cables for charging the iPhone and thus is very portable. If you are somebody why needs to add additional battery power every day then don't buy this, but if you are like me and you need extra power once a long while because u flying or staying in friend's house overnight, then this is great product.I was able to charge iPhone 3GS with 20% battery power left back to 80% in 1 hour and to 95% in less than 2 hours. If you turn the iPhone off (if u flying for example) and then start charging it, you might get even faster charging time.
There are few gotchas you should be aware of.
1. if you use a case with your iPhone, the charger might not work. I was lucky and the charger fits and works with mine, but it's not really securely attached. I have to remove the case if I want really good grip. This is of course not an issue of the charger and I really don't care that much simply because I don't use this charger every single day.
2. The cable which charges the charger is USB-to-MINIUSB has issues first it's only charging cable and not datacable (no idea why) and thus you cannot use for other things (I hate to carry 20 different cables when I travel). The second I really don't get why this cable exists in the first place. Why the charge cannot use existing iPhone charging cable instead or at least have an option to use either miniusb or iphone cables?It works great, but on an IPOD touch it blocks the headphone jack, so you can't use it and listen to music at the same time.

I think this is a great small battery pack for the iPhone. Charges via USB with a mini USB part that goes into the battery pack (you can plug this into the wall if you have a USB charger to AC charger). Small and easy to travel with for those who are on the go. I also have a Casemate Fuel which charges similaly but is a battery and holster. The Casemate is lighter and works well but I got this as times I do not want to have a holster. With both, I would not have to charge the iPhone for a long day or two. Got this at BestBuy for $20, on sale. The Casemate Fuel cost me about $59 a year ago. This battery is useful for charging your iPod when you are almost out of battery juice, and there is no AC power avaliable.But you CANNOT use the headphone jack (example: for talking over Skype) while this external battery is connected to your iPod Touch. Kensington should have designed a shape that would accommodate the use of headphone/microphone.
If you HAVE TO use your iPod's headphone jack WHILE it is being charged by a portable battery, you will need something like this:

It is not a one-piece design like the Kensington, but because of that, it is more flexible (It's a general purpose portable/AC 2-port USB charger) and will allow me to continue my Skype session without interruption. In other words, I can CHARGE my iPod Touch and USE my headphone/microphone at the same time. Not only that, there is no issue with having to remove iPod Touch's protective case if you have one, or having to maintain a certain angled contact between the battery and the iPod for positive charging to take place. For me, this is a much better and more practical solution to extending the use of my iPod Touch. And it is also cheaper than the Kensington, plus you will most likely be able to use this battery on future versions of iPod and things that rely on USB power. I highly recommend it (Music Power 0900-72 Encore).

Now I recommend the following, which is also very versatile and cheaper.
Just search "Battery USB Emergency Charger for iPhone iPod" on Ebay, and you will find a portable USB battery charger for less than $4 post paid. It uses two AA rechargeable batteries (not included) and includes a flash light function. It doesn't last as long as Music Power, but then you won't have to buy a proprietary battery.

The first day that I got this charger, I was excited! It was pink and adorable. However, the first day of using it when I woke up the wall plug in part had come off the entire cube. I will post pictures to show what I mean. I pieced the pieces back together and tried it again, it worked perfectly fine. I wake up the next day and the same thing happened. works good and very durable. but apparently battery life is bad in cold weather, which ruins why i got them (snowboarding). the meter drops to the half notch immediately even when fully charged when you hit freezing weather.they still work though and work fine, but it becomes hit or miss. i still used them on the slopes and they lasted all day (all day on the slopes for me is just a message here and there ever half hour or so when people get split up, so no real intenstive conversations). but i have had periods where they ended up shutting off by the end of the day.
i should have known that though knowing its nimh batteries, but oh wells, so not the fault of the radio or manufacturer. sound is great, reception is great, and didn't have a problem on large mountains in high power mode.
but i guess these will become warm weather driving or hiking radios, and i will still have to pick up a set of li-ion radios for snowboarding.

I had three motorolla radios, but two broke. I bought these over the motorolla because of the mounting loop. I used them sking, worked great (good range, sounds good), batteries lasted all day (after charging initially for 16 hours per the instructions). Last year while mushroom hunting I got lost. There I was deep in the deep dark woods utterly lost with my wife and nothing on me but a knife and a bag of mushrooms. Lesson learned. This year I made sure we carried the ten essentials plus these radios. However, once we arrived after a three hour drive the first time I tried to use them one of the radios was dead. As it turns out the rechargable battery was defective it would work for a few calls then die. So, does that make the whole radio and the whole Uniden company crap? It did for me at that moment that is for sure.

I am an extremely satisfied customer and would recommend this charger to anyone. I purchased this battery charger about 1 year ago, and have waited until now to post a review because I did not want to mislead anyone. I can safely say this is one of the best products available on the market.PROS:

Working in a dealership, the shop provided chargers were completely unreliable and had no advanced charging functions. All it took was one failed charger mid programming, and I ended up spending 3-4 hours to fix a job that ended up paying 0.6 hours. I then decided that was enough and I needed to buy a heavy duty charger of my own. I wanted something compact that could fit in my tool box drawer for security reasons, and to make sure nobody would use it when I wasn't around. I also needed something with flash program functions to keep the voltage steady. This charger answered every need of mine and more. I am not sure who is the real manufacturer of this charger, but I have seen it rebranded under OTC and other automotive specific tool brands. It also uses a very similar charger function interface as the roll around Snapon EEBC500 unit, which is what drew me to this charger. But this charger's main advantage is the flash programming mode which allows the user to set the voltage from 13.0V and higher and the charger will automatically adjust amperage to suit, from 0 to as much as 70 amps. The large fans keep this unit cool which will aid in it's life and the low gauge wiring appears very strong and will hold up. There are sometimes the jaws will not fit on the battery itself and can only be used on the jump start terminals, so depending on different vehicles this may be an issue but it has not been for me as nearly all of the vehicles in the brand I work for have jump start terminals. It is likely possible to switch out the jaws anyhow. One odd thing is the automatic charging function which sometimes I don't understand. I am not sure if it uses the battery's internal resistance or is aiming for 12.6 volts 15.0 volts or what the case is, however I am confident it will not overcharge and "cook" a battery if left alone for hours. Overall I am very happy with this purchase, it is a tool that I feel is reliable and will last a long time as I use it almost everyday. Many technicians in the shop I work ask where I got the charger from as they can see by the build and functions this is a high quality product. Amazon has the most competitive price I found around and the purchase went smooth.

I bought this charger to replace the expensive and fragile German made chargers and so far have been pleased. If it is connected to a car and run on battery charge setting, it tends to supply overvoltage, as much as 15.6 volts and has caused overvoltage faults in control modules. If it is run on flash reprogram setting, I set the voltage to 14.8 and have had no problems. The fans are a little noisy, but in a busy shop, not too noitceable.
