Power Bright VC750W Voltage Transformer 750 Watt Step Up/Down 110 Volt - 220 Volt

I have both this 750 watt model and a 200 watt model. They both do their jobs fine, consistently doubling my household voltage as measured with a multimeter. I have products that I purchased overseas and this was the simplest way to keep using them. I have not used these abroad to step voltage down. Inside, there really is not too much to the units. You select the input voltage on the rear (thus bridging that circuit) and then it all goes to the windings and then to the front receptacles. My 750 watt model had the light on the power switch fail on the first day, but this is a non-issue for me. It probably got jostled in shipping but it is not worth returning. And I don't think there is going to be a whole lot of variation among competing transformers that use the same technology. Indeed, the Chinese produced transformers appear to have largely the same design, though with different printing on the front. With free shipping (since these are heavy little boxes) and the lowest price among its competitors, this was a good deal.

I moved from the UK to the US a couple of years ago and when I first came over I didn't want to replace everything which ran on 240V instead of the 110V over here. This was a great unit for the price and coped well with everything from vacuum cleaners to stereo systems, dvd players and everything inbetween. Mine is still going strong and I find it a very useful unit.

I purchased this transformer before returning to the UK where I wanted to use some US 110V products. The input lead is fitted with a US three pin plug which I changed for a standard UK three pin plug, the input lead was UK standard, Brown Live, Blue Neutral, Green/Yellow Ground. Plugged in a US extension lead and there was a big bang and the lights went out. Luckily nothing was damaged.

Checks showed that Live to Neutral was OK at 110Volts, but Neutal to Ground at the output measured 240 Volts.

The (apparently) UK input lead had neutral and live crossed so watch out! Once corrected the unit works OK.

Two other transformers I bought with different power ratings, 200 and 500 Watt were exactly the same.

Just received the unit via Federal Express.

I opened the box and immediately noticed the un-raveled electrical cord. I then removed the unit itself from the product box & plastic bag/sleeve and immediately noticed scratches on the top of the unit.

I further inspected the unit and discovered additional scratches along with dents, obvious dust/caked dust in corners and previous wear and use markings.

There was also a plethora of smudges and finger prints.

This unit is not new and seems to be previously used, refurbished or a floor model. I wish this information would have been disclosed prior to my purchasing this item. This is UNACCEPTABLE and I am quite displeased with this Amazon.com purchase.

NOTE: I will provide additional comments once I use and test the quality of this unit.

I purchased this transformer for my time deployed to Iraq, and it works extremely well. I have it hooked up to a coffee maker, and even though the transformer's fuse is rated at 7 or 8 amps, the 10 amp coffee maker still functions soundly with this transformer. That may be a plus or minus depending on your personal application, but for my needs this couldn't be better. Inexpensive, good build quality, and I am a satisfied customer.

It's a nice camera, pretty small and easy to handle. The video is nice, clear, continuous, a bit washy maybe. The bad parts: battery lasts a little over 30 minutes and GPS doesn't work. You better keep the camera plugged in and if you don't mind driving with a wire hanging in front of you while charging, it's a good camera. Let's say I recommend it.

Power button not functioning properly, have only had it for just over three weeks.

Design of device is wrong, the windshield attachment device interfers with either the power port or the power button so that it is not possible to have both the power port and the power button clear, you have to pick which side of the device you want the turn knob located to free up either the port or the power button but you can't have both at the same time.

Software programing is worthless, does not have GPS integration, in fact, to my knowledge, there is no way to integrate the GPS data with the video data. A GPS text file is created, good luck on actually using it. Directions were worthless.

Since I am not able to return the device I am stuck with it. Do your homework and get a device that has good software integration and has all the function buttons/ports accessible.

Finally, device needs to be told when to switch to infrared, this is annoying as it should be smarter and know based on programming.

The video are very blurry at 1920*1080 even worst at others setting, and the software came this product not even working. I'm not even bother wasting time to return this product just going to get a different one. First dash cam what a lets down. Bummer

This was an awesome idea as I always have a charger whether I'm in my car or once I leave my car I even have a wall charger all in one. My old converter was only 1 stage, so thought I would upgrade to help extend the life of my batteries in the RV.

The instructions could have been a little more detailed, but were adequate. It fit in the place of my old converter very easily. Most of the problems were with trying to get the old converter out. The charge wizard should help keep the batteries from stratification, with its DESULFATION mode. The RV is now parked outside, and last week it was around 100 degrees, and I still have not heard the fan come on, so cannot comment on its noise level. It came well packed, and actually arrived 1 day early.

The PD-4645 converter only took a few days to arrive. Instuctions were clear other than they mentioned removing a red wire and I did not have any red wires. There were two black wires. Installing the DC Districution board was easy but getting the smaller gage (thicker) wires) branch circuits into the connecting slots was difficult.

Installation of the new converter would have been easy if I had read the tag on the leads. What were DC + and -, I read as AC and I hooked it up that way. Tripped breaker. I thought unit was defective and got a new one, in fact two, one from the manufactfurer. After the third unit tripped the breaker I knew it had to be me or my circuits and then I realized the leads were maarked DC not AC. Dumb and lucky! Once I had that figured out the unit worked perfectly. Easy to install.

I have not had the opportunity to see how unit works but it is very quiet.

This item was a great price per watt and the seller shipped the order next day after purchase. Packaging was satisfactory and item arrived undamaged. All parallel banks of solar cells worked with no operational or cosmetic defects. I am using to charge my pair of RV Marine batteries when dry camping, to reduce if not eliminate the need to run my portable generator when 110V Air Conditioner is not needed.

The panel I received would push about 4.1 Amp into the 8 amp max solar charge controller I have it attached to to protect the 12 volt battery pair in my RV from overcharge, in mid-day direct clear day sun. This is within a few percent of the claimed specs for the panel. The amps into near short circuit (Isc) was also within a few percent of the claimed specs.

Good quality build. The picture is deceptive of it's general shape. Measure carefully it's slightly longer than wide. Overall satisfied with the product. Would purchase again. Fits good on my Lance camper.

It come with MC4 connectors so if you want to be able to just plug onto is existing connectors, you will need to order a pair of connectors for $10.00. ALSO, it does not have a blocking diode built in, so you will need that if you are not using it with a charge controller. As far as I can tell it seems to be a well constructed panel.

We got these expecting better range. After doing a lot of research, I knew it would be no where close to the 30+ miles they advertise, and would have been happy with just a couple of miles.

The first unit I received after a few uses stopped working. The transmit button on one of the radios did not work at all. After talking to Cobra I got them to pay for the return shipping. Well the next set of radios they sent me after a few uses also stopped working. I was in the woods of Colorado and lost contact with my hiking group for over 1 hour on flat ground no more than 1 mile away from each other. After non stop trying the radios started to work again but at that time we were only 200 yards apart. So I am calling Cobra again in the morning. Not sure what I will do as I wont get money back at this time and do I really want a 3rd radio sent to me after 2 bad sets. This is not something I want to rely on the woods if I needed it to work. I have an old pair of Cobra radios 8 years old that still work and never had an issue. These new units are smaller and made in China and cheap but the poor quality shows. Kensington, Skiva, and Scosche all make car chargers that meet the 2.1 A requirement but are much more expensive.

This is the kind of cable (USB 2.0 on one end and micro USB on the other) that some reviewers were saying that Amazon should have included in the Fire box. It is used for charging if the connection is between the Fire and a USB charger, or copying files from your computer to the Fire and vice versa, if the connection is between the Fire and your computer.

This charger has two USB ports that share the 2100 mA output, so if you want fast charging, use just one port to charge the Fire/iPad, and leave the other not used by anything else.

This combo costs $16, about half the cost of the Kensignton.

I would only recommend the Kensington if you want to charge the Fire or iPad AND another USB device that consumes less than 1.0 A SIMULTANEOUSLY and don't want to sacrifice charging time. Physically, the Kensington is smaller and also well-made.

The other two reviews don't say much of anything other than negative stuff so I am going to tell you about the good stuff. I ordered this for my first Kindle. No it is not black like the picture or at least mine is not. Mine is white. It does work nicely when I have been in a crunch to charge my Kindle while traveling in the car. No it's nothing fancy that needs to cost a ton of money! Amazon has provided a good product for charging the Kindle. I hope this helps anyone they may want to purchase. It really does work!

We received this system as we were replacing an older model of another style of communicators. After two days the power supply cord quit functioning and I have been attempting to find one locally to avoid the hassle of shipping and return authorizations. I have a 2008 PT Cruiser and had two valve stems break on the original equipment Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors (TPMS). The original Daimler Chrysler product number is 56053030AC manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors product number 425OA225. This is a 315 MHz TPMS. The previous Chrysler/Dodge Product number is 68001696AA.

The Orange Electronic SC36AA Tire Pressure Sensor has excellent quality and fit perfectly. My local tire store installed them for $7 per tire. Once installed, the low tire pressure light turned off as I was driving home from the store. I shopped around and found other brands at my local auto parts store for double the price $65.00. I bought this pressure monitor with a lot of reluctance. I mean I was not sure if the unit was going to syncronize with the factory installed pressure monitoring system on my 2006 Town and Country Touring mini-van. I have to say that I was uneasy after I left the tire shop because the low pressure light on the dash board was still lit. But after driving off and about three miles into my trip, the low pressure light turned off. I have had no problem with this unit. You can't beat the price. I priced the unit through my local Chrysler dealer. Trust me, you don't want to know.

My 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been progressively breaking the poor quality factory TPMS valves. Bought this because of good reviews here at Amazon, but wanted to see how one worked before getting anymore. Appears more robust and weather resistant than original. Sync'ed up and cleared TPMS warning light within two miles of leaving tire center, holds pressure well, so I'll be ordering more to fix the whole vehicle.

GREAT PRODUCT!!! I checked around at different places to have some sensors installed. GOODYEAR wanted almost $250 to install 1 sensor!!! I bought 2 of these for less than $100 and a good friend of mine installed them for me. Less than 5 miles after installing them, the tire pressure turned off and it's been fine ever since. I highly recommend these. They worked right out of the box for me. My friend advised me that there could be the possibility that I would have to have these programmed by a tire shop but I guess i got lucky. Fast delivery!!
