I purchased a Ramsond charge controllers about 3 years ago and it has preformed flawlessly since then. I have it connected to a 5 watt solar panel that keeps the battery charged in a 10KW Diesel generator. It keeps the battery charged at all times. The exact same battery kept going down after charging with a battery charger almost every three weeks. It's worth the price of the charge controller just to have peace of mind and no trouble. The battery has never gone down in 3 years! I also have a 20 watt Ramsond (black)solar panel and it produces far more power than the 20 watt (blue)solar panel by another manufacturer. Based on my experience with Ramsond, solar panels and charge controllers, Ramsond has products that are superior in quality. I have solar panels by 9 different manufacturers and charge controllers by 5 different manufacturers and some out-perform others. My main house solar setup has been running flawlessly since 2005. I have 4 independent solar setups for different projects that I work on. I will buy Ramsond products in the future! For people that have had problems with these charge controllers, this is my suggestion: Disconnect the solar panel from the charge controller, but leave the battery connected. Leave it disconnected for a few hours and then reconnect. Once the charge controller recognizes your setup, it will never give you any trouble whatsoever.

As indicated by another reviewer this controller leaks current back into the solar panels at night (or when an RV is parked in a garage) and discharges the batteries. It is worthless in a situation where one needs to maintain a charge in batteries, as in an RV.

Excellent for a $20 controller. For situations where you are leaving the controller connected full time, and if your panel does not have one as many decent panels do, a simple diode on the hot lead will prevent discharge at night.

It works fine for charging; charging and floating at the correct voltages.

However, at night it leaks power back to the solar panel which discharges the battery.

I've had this unit for about a year now to keep my fair weather car battery up to par in the cold northeast winters. I contemplated getting one of the cheaper, brick type battery maintainers, but when I found this one, I liked the fact that it is voltage and polarity sensing. Even when shorted, the current does not flow until the clamps are properly configured & polarized on the terminals. You get what you pay for and this quality unit from Schumacher is well worth the $$.

i have used this product for about 8 months now. it is used to charge 6 and 12v batteries on multiple child electric cars. fully automatic switching between 6 and 12v. all that you have to do is hook up the alligator clips and plug it in. the very easy to read indicator lights on the front panel indicate whether or not you have a good connection. they also indicate with color change from yellow to green when you reach a full charge. i use this every time to charge the small cars, i threw away the cheap chargers that came with the cars. this is so much more dependable.

to the people that have problems, are you trying to charge batteries that this product is not intended for? the manual that comes with this charger tells you what batteries (volt and amps) that you should use it for. if used as intended, this is a great charger.

So far this charger has done its job well. I have used it to freshen up an ATV battery, lawn mower battery and a car battery. All the batteries were charge to the correct voltage and none were overcharged. I will be purchasing more of these to keep on all the batteries I have in things that do not get ran that much.

Received this charger / maintainer to hook up to my ATV battery and immediately began using it. Have owned it for over 2 weeks now and it has run flawlessly, the automatic switch over works perfectly, the included quick connect wiring makes this thing super simple to hook up to your most often charged / maintained piece of equipment and the fact that it is so small makes it super easy to store when not in use. I cannot comment on its durability since i have had it such a short time but I will be sure to edit this review if something changes in its functionality. I have a small shed mainly used for storage and wanted to have light to look for stuff around at night, without having to run an electric wire from the house. I have no experience with electric installations, and I am not very handy, but this was extremely easy to install and it give enough light for the shed (it is the equivalent to a 60W light bulb).

The black panel with a battery and the connection for a camera may be pictured and described, but the item sent is the white one that is for a feeder only -will not work with a camera. There is some sort of mixup on Amazon's site regarding the two items, be cautious.

If you're not planning on spending thousands of dollars to pimp your ride, and are just looking to spend a little money to spice it up a little bit, these lights are perfect!

The lights are very bright, with several different modes to select from (flashing, racing, steady, etc.)The lights are NOT made for outside the car! They are in plastic tubes, so they will break if subjected to rough use. I put one under the dash on the drivers side, and one on the passenger side. With just those two it really lights up the interior. I also put one in the trunk, which looks really awesome when you turn it on.

Wiring is really not hard if you know what you're doing. If you don't, just look it up online, there are a lot of guides to explain it for you.

i have a set of these in my truck. i have the inside of the glove box plexiglassed with the control pad inside. the wires are a little on the short side, so youll have to add wire on your own to run anything more than 2-3 foot away from your pad. but the lights are really bright and for the price i would suggest these to everybody... i will have pics up reall soon.

First, the kit comes with no instructions whatsoever. Go to www.ledglow.com, click on Tech Support, and find the instructions for your particular kit.

Second, the kit was designed assuming you want to connect to your fuse panel or directly to your car battery. They claim you can use your car cigarette lighter but as far as I can tell this requires a special adapter that isn't provided and is not sold anywhere on Amazon.

Worth it (so long as you're not buying it for the "sound" feature!)

I've seen a hundred LED and Neon under dash or interior lighting kits in the last few years. I was hesitant to purchase this and was, instead, half way through creating my own with a little technical know-how...BUT, the reviews and photos painted a very solid picture. I'm happy to say this product exceeds what I expected!

PROS -

Easy, universal installation (if you don't know that red its positive and black is negative then you shouldn't attempt to jump the battery in your car, let alone hook anything electrical up!). Rather than run it straight of the battery I have installed it using a 12V cigarette lighter plug (as I have easily a dozen outlets in my vehicle for such devices). After installing a blue LED light to my universal 12V plug it makes a very nice addition

Bright, consistent light and fun "flashing/chasing/fading" features (actually quite an excellent audio installation addition!)

CONS -

I'd hardly call this a "con" but since it's a fact I shall state it The music/sound feature that is intended to "pulse" with the music is sub-par. It will, in fact, blink with vibration (not sound!) and when the music is off it will continually blink every couple of seconds. However, if you want a LED kit to go with your music it would be much simpler to run a lead off of your speak, amp, or head unit to get consistent, reliable "music" lighting

The installation is extreamly simple. I ran a 12g wire directly from one of the bolts on the batery. Then ran the wire by the door and sound system. Installed the controller to the left of the cup holders on the driver seat. Ran back the wire for the fron seat. For the back and passanger put the wires in the middle since right below the cup holders and handbreak its empty. Put them right under the seat. I did not use the screws since really there is no place where you would put them. However, i just bought some double sided tape and it has stayed there since i put them. Easy, great look and cheap. Im about to get the external ones.

This unit is a great buy at less than $100. Tons of features, aux input works great has a separate volume for the aux input as well as switchable RCA jacks from full spectrum to sub woofer only with adjustable low pass filter. Remote is a little larger than i would like to see but it works great. Sound quality is very good and power output fantastic. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone wanting to replace a factory unit or an older unit.

Receiver works great and does everything it says it does. Very easy to install and setup yourself. Gets good FM and great AM reception. Aux and mp3 features work flawlessly, although I have not tested the WMA function. Display looks somewhat dim against bright light, but that was not a big concern. Overall this unit makes an excellent replacement for a stock receiver. Not to mention the great price and brand name.

This was a nice replacement for my older Pioneer in my 1998 Chevy Silverado extended cab. An upgrade to new speakers (6 1/2" in the front and 6 x 9 in the back) was a major improvement! Nice, clean sound with very little distortion. Controls are very user friendly to the driver. Remote control is user friendly as well. Great receiver for the price!

I bought this for my shop. I live in the mountains & radio reception is weak to poor, even with a custom designed antenna. My experience is that car stereo's have a stronger receiver than household stereo's & it paid off. Hooked up to my custom antenna & a good 12 vdc supply, the reception is perfect & the cd player works perfect too.

I really thought the remote would be a joke for me. I was wrong, it's great !! Kenwood has a good reputation & this modestly priced little guy lives up to it.

As others have said about the Kenwood KDC-MP142, the price and output from this receiver makes this a great buy! I was only looking for something to plug my iPod directly into my in-dash unit but I got more than just that. I had an Eclipse Audio receiver (which I was not very happy with) and then put this Kenwood in and WOW what a difference. The sound is MUCH cleaner and gets much better reception from radio stations that I could not get very clearly with the previous unit. I had Polk Audio speakers installed with the old receiver and they are just now really getting full use of their potential with the Kenwood receiver. If I had it to do over I would have gotten a Kenwood or Alpine receiver like I should have to begin with. If you need a quality replacement (with an AUX plug for MP3 players to boot) for a factory unit or a less than stellar unit, give this one a shot.

By purchacing these radios, I saved a ton of money since I did not have to buy or rent good high quality scanners for my two boys. They were clear and loud enough since we used ear buds instead of the supplied headphones since the races are extreamly loud and that worked great. All in all if you do not go to the races much and do not want to invest in a high dollar scanner, this is the way to go.

Overall, this is an mediocre scanner. Functionally, it is a bit clumsy and not the easiest to figure out how to use various functions. I primarily use these to listen to drivers during NASCAR races. Unfortunately, the volume control is not great and they pick up quite a bit of static; making it hard to hear what the drivers are talking about. The headphones that come with these are terrible; just some cheap foam covered headphones. I figured I could plug in my own, high quality, headphones but that was not the case. If you do not use the cheap ones that came with the scanner, the scanner will cease to function (literally the buttons will not respond).

On the bright side, the desk charger is nice. Having rechargeable batteries ensures that you will have ample power. I haven't ever had an issue with them running out of power. It is also a plus that they come as a set so you don't have to use a splitter and share with someone else.

If given the opportunity to purchase these again, I would probably spend a bit more money and get a higher quality product.

I bought a new GPS and wasn't sure that I would need these chargers or not. As it turned out the GPS did come with everything that was needed to charge it, but it's nice to have back up I guess. I purchased this same item a couple of years ago and was disappointed by the short cord on the car charger could barely reach from the charger to the dash. This new version has a much longer cord...YAY. Finally I can stop worrying that I'll go around a corner too fast and unplug the charger!!! And it's also great to have a wall charger to fully charge the devise. The car charger doesn't charge well if you're using the devise at the same time. Just used this in a rental car for a trip from SF to LA...got it just in the nick of time.

The chargers work great and the tipexchange worked great. My only complaint is that this cord is not as long as my original and when you put the Garmin on your windshield, the cord is stretched very tight between the windshield and cigarette lighter and it occasionally pulls the Garmin off the windshield due to so much pressure.

I received this as a gift a couple years ago, and it's going strong. I use it as a 12v source for special chargers that I use to charge the various types of batteries used in Radio Control airplanes and cars. I've used it in the sweltering heat of my garage in Central California, and in the cold of my garage in a much colder climate. I even dropped it once, and it's working great!

If I were to say there is a downside, it's that there's only one output pair. I rigged up a multiple output attachment that works fine for my needs. Two pairs of heavy duty binding posts and a project box from an electronic store plus some heavy wire and a couple banana plugs.

I am using this to power an aircraft instrument panel that I am building. It will eventually be installed into an airplane with great difficulty, so I want to get it right on the bench. And I need 20A of 12-14V.

This product fit the bill just fine.

I ordered on Sunday for two day delivery and expected it on Wednesday. It arrived Tuesday.

There isn't much to say about a power supply it is powerful, the ripple specs put it closer to a battery than an alternator powered aircraft or auto. (That's a good thing).

The only gripe is that the built in ammeter is a little on the cheap side. Digital would be great, but I didn't pay for digital. The needle is about 1/2 amp lower than the actual draw, as verified by a precision Fluke multimeter. I can live with that.

I have some great bench power supplies that cost several hundred dollars and have better features, but only put out 1/3 the power. So, all in all, this was a good fit for my application.

The Pyramid PS21kx is an excellent power supply. My wife is a HAM radio operator and I purchased the power supply so we could use her new Yeasu mobile 2 meter as a base station, and in this capacity, the Pyramid works very well. It's an extremely solid, hefty piece of equipment, and obviously very well consturcted. Haven't done any actual testing of the supply because I don't have the test equipment necessary, except to check the output voltage, which is spot on. I can tell you how it works in operation, though, and it has been flawless. Quiet, no noticiable humming noise as one often gets with less well made supplies. It handles the radio very well, even when she cranks the output power up to 75 watts. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who needs a fairly heavy duty, 12 volt power supply. HAM radio operaters who often need 12 volt power to operate mobile radios ought to serious look at this unit. Very wel made.

Duracell 813-0807 800 Watt DC to AC Digital Power Inverter

This is a very good inverter. As others have noted, it does not come with a cigarette lighter adapter cord. 800w is overkill for a cigarette lighter inverter, anyway. If that is the intended use you want a 150w-200w unit. I use this to run my DryGuy boot dryer (which pulls about 450w on start-up and then drops to 200w), to charge up my Ipod and Iphone through an AC to dual USB plug and my transceiver through a docking station using a 105 amp hour, deep cycle battery. The unit is stable, the fan kicks on only when needed and the digital display provides accurate, pertinent information like current watts being pulled and how many amps are left on the battery. The low battery power alarm is appropriately irritating. Everything about the inverter feels solid and well done. Things I would like to see? A USB port and AC outlet on the top of the unit and an external fuse would all be nice. The unit is sturdy, well constructed and attractive. I label it a good, old fashioned bargain. Highly recommended.

This is a very good inverter. I like that it has a digital display so I can calculate how long the battery will last. I usually use it with jump pack/ battery backup system that I built out of this battery boxMinnKota Trolling Motor Power Center. It works much better than a typical jump pack that you can purchase on here. I use an 80 amp hour (usable power without extremely discharging battery) so I can run whatever I need to for quite a long time. I keep it recharged via my cigarette lighter to the boxes cigarette lighter (you will need a cable with 2 male ends). It is a very good setup and this inverter easily mounts to the side of the box. Hope this helps and gives the inverter a better rating... The other two reviews are absolutely worthless.

By the way, you can purchase an adapter to be able to plug this into your cigarette lighter. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE 800 WATTS! You could then use this inverter to power equipment up to about 150 200 watts otherwise you will need to attach it directly to the battery.

I run this inverter off a 18AH AGM sealed lead acid battery to power a boombox at the beach. I've used it every weekend for two summers and never had a problem. It gets packed and unpacked with the other beach gear and dragged 1/3 of a mile to the water's edge each trip. I haven't had a problem with sand or summer heat. I do keep it in the shade to keep the sun from heating it up.

The digital display is very useful watts out to the boombox and battery voltage. I've compared the unit's dc battery voltage display to an external volt meter and they are in sync within 0.1 volts so the unit is fairly accurate. It shuts down at a low battery voltage of 10.5 volts exactly as it should. The boom box normally draws about 30 watts (2.5 amps @ 12 volts) and maxium of 60 watts (5 amps at 12 volts). It powers the unit most of the day a function of the battery's capacity. The fan only comes on when needed for cooling so users with a light load like mine won't have annoying fan noise. I have had the fan turn on automatically on heavier loads.

I have had mine for well over a year now and it has always worked well. How much watage you can get from it when using a lighter socket is a function of your vehicles wiring the unit does not know what it is plugged into. if your load is more than about 100 watts, you should connect it direct to the battery.

Some cheaper units do not shut down the inverter if they detect low voltage. This unit will shut itself off when it detects low voltage. This can be annoying if you are powering something that doesnt care about the quality of output power but for many electronic devices, this feature can save from damaging what you have plugged into it. Again, the detected voltage at the lighter socket has to do with your car's wiring not the inverter (other thah the fact that it has a low voltage shutoff circuit).

I gave it four stars instead of 5 because when it does detect a low voltage condition and shuts off, it doesn't turn itself back on when the voltage returns to normal. For me, this happens when I start the car with the inverter connected directly to the battery. While starting, the voltage goes low for a moment then returns to normal. This means that I have to get out of the car (I use the inverter while parked and keep it undet the hood, connected to the battery), open the hood and press the power button. Perhaps this wouldn't be required if this just had a simple on/off toggle switch.

If an inverter can't take 400 watts like it says, don't lie. It can barely handle 150 watts before quitting and screaming at me with that icessive squealing noise. At the very least, don't make it do that infuriating scream.
