After using the F5 for a few days I am very disappointed with the battery life. Streaming music or using a cell phone with the F5 I am getting less than 1 hour of use time before the battery dies. A lot shorter than the advertised 11 to 12 hour use time the unit is suppose to provide. I dont know if I have a unit with a bad battery or if this is the average use time. I am waiting for a response from Interphone. Hopefully it is a battery issue and not normal performance of the F5.
The battery was bad in one of the units. Interphone replaced the unit within a week and it is working as advertised. I was very pleased with customer service at Interphone.I bought three of these for my friends and one for myself. Going on group rides are so much better now with the F5, instead of having to guess what your ride buddy is trying to say. Daily commutes are better as well with FM radio and music streaming from a Bluetooth device.
Intercom works well. The only issue I have found was reconnecting to streaming music on an Android phone after exiting intercom mode. This issue was resolved after updating to the latest firmware on the F5.
Usage with iPhone:
I am able to make calls, receive calls with spoken caller ID, have text messages read to me (iPhone 4S/5), send text messages (iPhone 4S/5), control music play back, most anything with Siri, and now with iOS6 turn by turn directions.
Tip on how to use Siri (iPhone 4S and 5):
While in phone mode select the down button once and about 2 seconds later you will hear Siri's tone. Say anything you would with Siri and do not press any buttons, Siri will know when you have stopped speaking and process your request.
Defiantly can tell this is a quality product just by holding it. I have ridden through some heavy rain and did not experience any issues. The F5 is covered with a one piece of rubber that makes it water proof.
At the beginning I had issues using the F5 because my cold weather gloves were too thick, and I unable to feel buttons. I was pressing the wrong buttons and getting distracted from the road. I would recommend for the first week or two to use summer gloves until you get familiar with the button locations.
Battery life is great on the F5 comes. I leave the wall charger at home and travel with a USB cable (included) which can be used for charging.Amazon has done it. Cyclebots is now selling the Interphone F5 via Amazon.
The F5 sets the bar for motorcycle intercoms. It is easy to use. The stereo output
is loud and clear. The Bluetooth 3.0 is amazing. The big bang for the buck is multiple motorcycle hook up on intercom. It comes with everything you will need and then some. Truely a first class unit.
If you liked the talking GPS ( Dora the ding-bat)then you'll love this talking Interphone (Sweet Cheeks).I had purchased the Interphone F4 last year. After much research, I thought it was the right option. The units worked great the installation was easy. However, the connector is extremely delicate. It is very difficult to get the plug aligned to connect the mic/speaker cable and the charger cable. You have to remove the mic/speaker cable in order to plug in the charger cable. Bad design! Recently I experienced a situation where the mic/speaker cable would not make a good connection. Therefore the unit would not work properly or at all. I contacted the place where I purchased the unit. I was advised to contact the distributor. They advised me they were no longer the distributor and to contact the new distributor. Meanwhile, the F4 had been replaced by the F5 model. The new distributor did not have an F4 replacement. They only handled the new F5. After much correspondence with the seller and the new distributor, I finally received a replacement F4 module. Then the other module died as well from the same cause. So, rather than fight it any longer I bought the SENA SMH 10.
The Interphone worked well when it worked. But, if you get into a warranty issue, you may have a difficult time of it. I understand the connector on the F5 is improved. Not worth $500 to find out. The SENA is about $150 to $200 less money and works great.

Nature Power 40050 Solar Powered PowerPak with 2 Super Bright LED Lights
- Complete solar power kit; includes; battery pack, amorphous solar panel, and two ultra bright lights
- 2.6 Ah Rechargeable battery powerpak runs the two included super bright white lights for 15 hours or one light for up to 30 hours
- 7.5W Amorphous solar panel charges powerpak and can be used to trickle charge any 12V battery like the one in your car
- 2 Lights with 12 super bright LEDs each.
- USB port to charge or run small electronics
However I had to test it for home use before a camping trip. There is no problem at all with the 7.5W solar Panel. In fact it puts out around 18V DC. The PowerPak is well thought out with 5V USB port and two 12V socket port for small gadgets but the problem is that there is no indicator on how much charge the PowerPak holds so it is all guessing.
My first unit died on me when I overused it in a week because there is no indicator on how much charge is left. After talking to a customer service rep at Nature Power, she told me never let it fall below a certain level. Well what level? Because again there is no indicator for how much juice the PowerPak has. She said it was ok to continuously overcharge it from the solar panel.
Returned it and got a new one. This time I followed all directions given to me by the company but still it doesn't hold full charge. I charged it every day and used the light for 4-5 hours continuously. Finally after two weeks of use it only holds a fraction of the charge and only lights the two bulbs for two hours versus the 30 hours it claims on the box.
Some of the other flaws are the directions in the manual. Then the mislabeling of 6V ports which are actually 12V ports. You can tell it was interpreted wrong. Also outside the box it states the package comes with a female cigarette lighter port adapter. Unfortunately from both packages I couldn't find mine.
This is nothing more then an expensive toy that just isn't made to last.

Well as mentioned in previous reviews there is no indicator for how much charge the unit have; the only two indicators one for charging and the other for on. The charging indicator does not let you know whether it is fully charge or not, just that the solar panel is sending electricity. The solar panel also have a led to tell the same. The USB port can charge a phone and will do it very slowly. Tried to use the 12v outputs for other purposes but as soon as the device detect more current disable the ports and needs to be restarted, thereby the 12 volts are only for the included lights. The instruction manual is one page with picture how to connect the panel and the lights. For the 2012 summer storm for the east coast the system was handy, without electricity for almost three day, I used for lighting the basement. The light was adequate, but I wished that the lights had some kind of hook, I used tape to attach it to the ceiling. I never tried to run it for "30" hours as claimed, I charged it at least one time during the blackout for 1-2 hours with the included solar panel, it never completely discharged. Solar panel includes several plug which can be used to charge other 12v batteries.Final Verdict: The solar panel is very handy for changing and the light system is ok for camping and occasional blackout.
Suggestion to manufacturer: Please add a remaining and full charge indicator. Lights should have some type of hook for hanging.

First, there's no real manual for this product. The instructions are very simple, but there's more to this product than is described in the manual. Specifically, any kind of statement about battery life, best practices for longest lifetime, and any details about operations, as in what does it mean when the red light goes on and blinks? It soon became clear why there's no manual. Because this product is a joke. Specifically, the battery pack. The solar panel itself seems pretty rugged. And a cluster of LEDs is pretty hard to do wrong. But the battery is a joke. After one good, long use, which probably drew down the battery all the way, there's no capacity left. If there was a metering system to keep you from running the battery down too low, what's the point? Since it only has a nominal 2.6 amp hours, and you can't (I'm guessing, since there is no meter and no specs) use more than a third or half of that, it's basically useless.
Nature Power has other products, including solar cells of higher power and adapters/converters. I've got nothing to say about those. But this product, specifically the battery back, is absolute junk.

Stanley J45C09 450 Amp Jumper with Compressor
- 900 Peak Battery Amps / 450 Amp Instant Starting Power
- Includes a 120 PSI air compressor, DC & USB charging plugs and a high powered LED light that rotates 270 degrees
- Consists of reverse polarity alarm for safety along with a top-mounted rubber molded handle for easy grip
- Impact resistant injection molded housing
- Contains power/charge indicator and audible & visual reverse polarity alarm
So, this thing works, but if you can find a starter with longer cables, I recommend you do so.
I haven't tried using the compressor or the USB power outlet yet.
Incidentally, you have to charge the jumper for 24 hours when you first get it. You charge it using an extension cord plugged into a regular household electrical outlet.
I recommend you keep the instruction booklet with the jumper so you can refer to the instructions when you need to use it. I placed the booklet in a zip locking plastic bag and taped the bag to the jumper.

When i first got this, it worked great. it was used to start a garden tractor and a car with a dead battery. However, the battery in the unit seems inferior, and did not hold a charge for more than about a month. Recharging was not able to get it to full charge, according to the lights on the unit. Now in the cold weather it won't hold a charge at all, and the unite is only about 9 months old. If it is to be of any value, it should have a better battery.Read Best Reviews of Stanley J45C09 450 Amp Jumper with Compressor Here
(Update: 10/2011: We now have 4 of these. Great charger/compressor.)I purchased 3 of these charger/compressors for my family and have had for approx one year. The battery inside definitely holds a charge. The manual says to check the charge/recharge every 60 days. Unit has convenient 3-LED system for indicating amount of charge remaining. After 4 months and after pumping up approx. 20 automobile tires, the charger I use was on 2nd of 3 LED's and still pumped fine. I also started an SUV with a dead battery. Worked fine. Agree that cables are short, but I believe they are long enough to reach the battery in conventional vehicles (Honda Pilot & Honda/Acura sedans). The light works just fine for pumping up tires and for jump starting a dead battery. This charger/compressor gets my recommendation.
Want Stanley J45C09 450 Amp Jumper with Compressor Discount?
This charger works quite well and started our car from a totally dead battery this evening. As another reviewer noted, the cables are VERY short, however. This isn't ideal, since it makes it impossible to place the unit on the ground during starting, where it really should be for safety reasons. As long as you recharge the unit once a month, it should give good service.Have had this for over a year now. Unit is well built and so far has been very useful. Haven't had to use the jump start feature on a car but worked fine on my lawn tractor which really isn't a fair comparison. Compressor is wonderful. So much easier then hooking one up to the cigarette lighter and it has a reasonable fill rate with an accurate gauge. Weight is not to much so would be useable for almost anyone. One thing that it has is the reverse polarity alarm which I feel should be included on all these units. Anyone can make a mistake and it is good to have the extra insurance of this alarm which isn't on some units in this price range. So you ask why only three stars? It is the light. Mine broke off within the first month. It is exposed and fragile. Stanley is the only manufacturer that does this and any benefit from the flexability is far outweighed by the possibility of damage. I need these units to be a one stop solution for an emergency be it a flat tire, dead battery, or light source. I cannot depend on this unit for that reason. Nothing like changing a tire in the dark and having to search for the lug nut that dropped and rolled away to make you appreciate this. Course I always keep a flashlight in the glove box as backup but I don't swap the batteries on those as often as I should. Need to work on that.Xantrex Power Inverter - 1800 Watt, Model# XM 1800
Just this weekend, I replaced it for the 4th time (total of 5 inverters)
The 110volt pass-through, which was one of the features that attracted me to this product keeps failing leaving me with no 110 volt service. Strangely enough, the inverter portion still worked.
While all but one of these replacements was provided under warranty, there was still expense involved in installing the replacements and loss of products that were stored in the refrigerator which stopped working when the inverter died, even when plugged into shore power.
I evaluated the prospects of changing to a different product, but the cost involved in a) buying the replacement, and b) having it installed, as the boat would have to be rewired to support a different product caused me to stay suffering with this one. I have 100% expectations that I will continue to have to replace this unit.
When it works, it works fine, but you never know when it is going to fail.
The tech support at Xantrex stinks. I have called and emailed many times asking for info about WHY this unit keeps failing, never got a response. On a positive note, they never gave me a hard time about replacing it, which leads me to believe that they KNOW what is wrong with it, and don't want that to get out.Installed this product in my travel trailer and it runs everything I expected. Microwave, coffee maker, TV, ect. and it does it with two 6 volt batteries. Comes with a hard wired remote so you can turn it on and off without going directly to the unit, and monitor battery voltage and unit output.

I can get this inverter to work in my cigarette lighter, just don't plug it in and turn it on without something (laptop, etc) hooked into the AC outlet and powered on.When this inverter turns on, unloaded, it draws a huge spike in current and will blow the fuse to your cigarette lighter immediately. Not fun when your radio runs on the same fuse!
I'm not happy at all with this product, but I bought it ages ago at a Lowe's and can no longer return it. Two stars because with proper technique it has purpose.

This inverter powered my MacBook Pro which draws 85 watts using the power plug in a box truck I rented. The plug tag and inverter label read up to 80 watts while the manual states up to 100 watts for the plug. The heavier gauge alligator clip cables are for higher wattage applications or you may blow your power port fuse. The alligator clips connect directly to the battery. If you permanently hardwire the inverter buy 6 gauge wire with a 50 amp fuse up to 6 feet long or 4 gauge wire over 6 feet. Both included cables are 3 feet (91 cm) long. Remember, Volts x Amps = Watts. The inverter draws 512 watts when output is 400 watts according to the label. Output is a stepped modified sine wave and NOT sinusoidal. When the inverter fan comes on it is noticeable like a radio between stations at moderate volume (took me some miles before figuring it was the inverter). The housing stayed cool at 85 watts.
When Black & Decker fixes their dead links the manual may be available at [..] (search for PI400AB). Lowes and Home Depot were [..]for this inverter.I have a solar panel with this inverter connected to one of my security lights. The best thing about this inverter is the thermal fan that only turns on when needed. Not many if any at this price range can do this. I don't know how much of a power load it will handle, other than the rated 400 watts, my sytem only requires 60 watts for the flourescent flood light. My duration of ownership is only 1 month now, so far so good.I was hoping to plug a laptop and a wireless hotspot. No luck, the laptop has never worked, always resulting in an error light when plugged in. Also does not autostart when the car turns on, so you have to remember to press the power button every time. Blah.
Xantrex Prosine Inverter/Charger - 2000 Watt Hardwire, Model# 805-2000
I purchased this model new in 2004. It almost immediately started acting erratic. In 2006, after several phone calls and tech service sessions, Xantrex replaced the defective unit with a refurbished one and only gave a 90-day warranty for the replacement. To this day, I still don't understand that one. I did pay full price for the new unit. Now the replacement unit has burnt up during a storm and a power surge. The unit when new was right at $2000.00. A replacement in 2006 gave me 7 years of relative trouble free service. That equates to about $285.00 per year or the equivalent of purchasing a new 8-D XHD battery each year. I don't feel that for the price of these units, they deliver the service that they should. If inverters only last six or seven years, save some money and get a Tripp Lite or similar unit for about half the price of a Xantrex.
Now I try to call Xantrex to inquire into another refurbished unit and get no answer. Read the other reviews on Amazon. There seems to be a customer service issue with this company.
Kawasaki 840056 Black 19.2-Volt 4-Piece Cordless Combo Kit
- 2 Batteries-included
- Carrying Case-included
- 3-5 Hour Charger
- Great 4-piece kit for homeowners
- Includes drill, two saws, and work light
I didn't expect much for the price (or after reading other reviews).
After using these tools for awhile I'm pleased with them.
The drill is good quality with enough power for everything I've thrown at it. The battery hasn't died on me during a job. A single charge lasts long enough.
The circular saw isn't the best, but it gets the job done. It seams to drain the battery pretty quick. But for small jobs it's great. The project I was working on required 1/8 1/2 inch wood and it did a great job with that. Larger pieces aren't a problem but the battery won't last long.
The saw seams to be of good quality. I've only used it to cut a few pieces of schedule 40 pipe but it worked great for that.
The flashlight drains the battery fast. It's convenient in some places with the rotating angled head, but it's very bulky for most applications. At first I couldn't figured out what was rattling inside, but it turns out there's an extra bulb inside the flashlight, which is nice.
The charger is my biggest complaint. It's not a smart charger so you have to be careful not to leave the battery in there for more than a couple of hours.
The case is also annoying. I've never been able to get all the tools back in the case. The saw just doesn't fit anywhere once you have pulled it out.
Overall it's a decent low price kit. Don't expect to build a house with these.

Early on, the batteries seemed to struggle to maintain a charge or to deliver power to the three "main" tools. Over the past two months, however, I've been pleased with the set. Using the reciprocrator, I was able to fully modify a steel bike frame and cut down a large bush on one charge. I've used the drill on a variety of jobs, mainly installing deadbolts and mortise locks on several doors, as well as many smaller jobs with no problems. The circle-saw is pretty good as well, and has successfully cut through 2x4s without trouble.I can't explain the early problems, but they seem to have disappeared completely.

***This review is based on only the drill and battery pack***Bought only the 19.2v drill from Costco some time back, thinking the Kawasaki name should be good for something, and I wanted a lightweight auxillary drill so I can minimize bit swapping. Soon after I bought it, the company (Alltrade, not Kawasaki) issued a battery recall notice. No problem, as my serial numbers were not listed.
However, in actual use, the drill is very underpowered, even with 19.2 volts. It can not drive a 1/2 inch spade through a 4x4 pressure treated post. I ended up finishing the job easily with my trusty DeWalt (rated at 14.4 volts), which cuts into the material like butter (literally!).
Then there's the issue of battery life. I expected way better than what I got, even though I knew it wasn't a professional-level power pack. The batteries have to be charged very frequently, even with light use.
The drill is light and is comfortable to hold and use, if a bit large, and the chuck is wobble-free, making it good for precision work. But the drill is not appropriate for heavy-duty use or for those occasions when you really need the extra power or torque.
Most disappointing was the fact that, even with light use, the drill failed completely within months (probably due to a faulty trigger assembly).
In sum, this set of tools will likely disappoint, as most people will use the drill most often. Based on my experience with the drill and battery system, I would not recommend this set. You will be way better off spending more and getting a good combo from one of the established tool companies (DeWalt, Makita, etc.). It can be much more expensive ($400 on up for similar tools), but in the end you'll have something that'll last and get the job done with less frustration. There is no replacement for corded power tools when you are doing a big project or working with heavy lumber and such. Even the professional cordless units have their limits. Unfortunately, when you have to haul out four cases of equipment (circular saw, drill, saws-all, lights) and then haul out heavy extension cords, the work area can get pretty messy. The cool thing about this set-up, is you only have to haul out ONE case and all your tools are there. For the typical needs around the house, this is fine. What's funny about why I bought it, is I already owned the drill. I've used it for a couple of years on dozens of projects without any issues except one of the battery packs is getting a bit weak. So, since I was probably going to have to buy another battery pack, I bought this set-up. It gives me two more of the same battery packs, a back-up charger (or I can charge two packs at once) and a back-up drill in addition to the other tools. I used it the other day to build a potter's bench and enerything worked well and it was powerful enough for the 2x4 construction.
