It fits my 2007 Harley Nightster 1200N like a glove. As other reviewers have pointed out, it does seem fairly thin, but that's the downside to packing into such a small package, and being so light. I wouldn't use it for offseason storage outside, but for covering the bike while parked downtown, or to keep the dust off while in my garage, it's perfect.

The Schumacher is just a maintainer/charger. It has no desulphate mode, but works well to keep the battery topped up.
The Yuasa does the same thing, but adds a mediocre desulphate mode. In tsting, I showed that it did bring batteries to a higher state of charge then the Schumacher.
The Xtreme Charge is a powerful tool for desulphating batteries, but it does not do as well as the MUS 4.3 at fully charging a good battery.
The MUS 4.3 has a desulphate mode, but I've never seen it enter that mode, even on a badly abused battery.
I'm currently in the process of attempting to restore a 12V 22 Anp-hour 5 year old AGM battery that was deeply discharged, to under 6v. The Schumacher, Yuasa, and Xtreme all refused to even start on this battery. I had given up on it, and was about to order a replacement, when I decided to try out the MUS 4.3.
When I plugged in the MUS 4.3, it attempted to charge the battery, but then found the battery bad after it dropped to under 12v in 3 minutes, after it attempted to charge the battery. I feel that afew attempts to recharge the battery would probably have done the trick, but it was bed-time, so I figured I'd go back to ol-reliable Xtreme Charge.
I then hooked up the Xtreme Charge, and it began to charge the battery. After letting it sit overnight on the battery, the battery was able to hold over 12V. I decided to leave it on the Xtreme charge another 12 hours, and will attempt a recondition with the CTEK.
I will update later on my progress, but my conclusion so far, is that the CTEK offers features the Xtreme Charge does not have, while the Xtreme Charge offers features the CTEK does not have. Both are top of class chargers. I wish I could somehow combine them into one. If the CTEK would always desulphate, like the Xtreme charge does, I'd pick it over the Xtreme. As is, I'd lean more toward the Xtreme. For cases where it does not want to start charging to to low voltage, one can use a $10 trickle charger to bring the battery up over 11 volts. My trickle charger died though, and I have yet to replace it.
Update:
After leaving the battery that the CTEK said was bad, on the XTreme charge for a week, it now is working well. The Xtreme Charge would not charge the battery before I tried the CTEK on it though.
At this point, if I had to have one battery maintainer, I'd stick with an Xtreme Charge and get a $10 trickle charger for truly dead batteries, to get them up to where the Xtreme Charge will charge them.
That said, I'm happy to have the CTEK, in addition to the Xtreme Charge as the different modes the CTEK has can come in handy.
Update 2:
I have a car with a year old battery that stopped accepting a charge. This car sits a lot, but is kept on one of my battery maintainers when it is sitting for long periods.
After several months of driving it every day, it stopped accepting a full charge. It got to the point where I was keeping it on the Xtreme charge at night, but it still would barely start the car at the end of the day. I checked the alternator and it was fine. I was almost ready to buy a new battery when I decided to give the CTEK a try.
I set the CTEK to recondition mode, and it spent several hours charging the battery. The next morning, the engine fired up with gusto. That evening, after sitting at work all day, it fired up with gusto again, and the next morning and evening as well.
The CTEK just paid for itself once more. At this point, I feel like both chargers, the CTEK, and the Xtreme, definitely have there own niches. I am glad I have both.

I have two CTEK 3300s and love them. A CTEK representative encouraged me to get the 4.3 and I regret my decision. Not only is it at least $25 more than the 3300, the cables are shorter and there is no OFF button. That means 1) it won't work in all my cars because the distance between the positive battery clamp and the chassis ground is too far for the shorter cables and 2) you get that nice SPARK when plugging it in. The 3300 has both a longer cable for the positive/negative clamps and an off button. I personally HATE sparks anytime I'm dealing with a battery. Of note, the 4.3 does have a battery recondition mode which I suppose is nice if you have completely depleted a battery as well as a better indicator of what it is doing. Still, I wish I would have just bought another 3300.UPDATE 01/04/2013: I still don't like the fact that there is a small spark when you plug this in, HOWEVER. I have now reconditioned two batteries AND the price is similar now to the 3300. So given the choice, I would live with the small spark and shorter cables in order to have the recondition mode. My BMW battery was giving a discharge warning recently (a known issue on new BMWs) and I gave it a recondition over the weekend and have not seen the error since.

Some info you might find helpful when considering this product:What's in the package:
o The CTEK 56-864 MUS 4.3 Charger with 6' AC & 12V leads permanently attached.
o Clip leads similar to the CTEK 56-384 Comfort Indicator Clamp, but with no indicator. They're 16.75" long and the clips open to a maximum of 1".
o Ring terminal leads similar to the CTEK 56-260 Comfort Connect 1/4" Eyelet , but with a 15A in-line blade fuse. These have M6 / 1/4" rings and are also 16.75" long
o A manual in English, French and Spanish.
o A lightweight fabric bag with a how-to graphic on it.
o Adhesive side labels in French and Spanish for the charger
Shipping: My unit was shipped in a retail display cardboard box. +1 for not so much packaging in cardboard, -1 for potential damage to the unit during shipment through the plastic display window in the box.
Operation:
o Attach to battery, plug in, select mode, wait.
o Unit restarts in same mode as when last plugged in. Startup delay is a couple seconds.
o Unit restarts charge cycle when modes changed or battery is dis-, then reconnected.
Initial reaction: Nice! The unit brought our 6 and 8-year old flooded-cell auto batteries from 12.36V to a full charge of 12.6+V, stepping through the charging stages (@ 14.35V during the absorption stage) to float @ 13.55V. Voltages were measured on the battery terminals with a Fluke 115 DMM.
Things that could be better:
o The indicators are hard to see in sunlight.
o The AC cord is overkill. It's stiff & I found it "wags the dog", shifting the charger around as one plugs it in or moves the cord
o A rubber case or end bumpers would be nice, both protecting the unit and keeping it from slipping around as much during use.

I have the Multi-US and love it. Purchased this for my father and he said the recondition mode brought back a 6yr old motorcycle battery that would no longer take a charge.have to agree with other reviewer. no standby, even though there is a standby light, it never comes on. the 3300 seems to be a better unit. and then there were sparks. not in connecting to the battery but when i plugged it in. weird. i do like the series of lights, but thats not worth the extra $. why no standby?on the 3300 you attach it to the battery and the standby light comes on. then you plug it in. on the 4.3 you attach it to the battery and nothing. no lights. anyway, once you plug it in you can set it for what you want. just dont plug it in near the battery.
i found the cables to be the same length as my 3300, plenty long for what i need.
Motorola T505 Bluetooth Portable In-Car Speakerphone
Here are the units I tested:
The Jabra SP5050, Parrot Minikit, BlueAnt Supertooth Light, BlueAnt Supertooth II and Motorola T505. I chose these units based on the positive user reviews on the Amazon site.
Now how they perform when paired with my Sprint HTC Touch...
BlueAnt Supertooth Light Works good with few complaints. Connects automatically every time. Has mini USB for charging which is exactly the same as my phone. OK speaker volume (but the volume may cause an echo on the other end). I like how turning the unit on or off is accomplished by pushing the mic in/out. Magnetic clip is nice.
BlueAnt Supertooth II Works good but doesn't usually connect automatically with the Touch. I need to push the talk/end button to connect. Best speaker volume (you can turn the volume too high which may cause an echo on the other end). This unit can be used with the visor up or down since the mic can swing totally open. Aesthetics might not appeal to some. I really like how turning the unit on or off is accomplished by swinging the mic in or out. Magnetic clip is nice.
Jabra SP5050 Maybe the best aesthetics with very slim size. Easy to understand if it's on and connected with the alert tones. Very light unit and did I say how slim it is?
Terrible low volume with my Sprint Touch! The volume is unusable for highway speed driving and is a deal killer compared to the other units. This cannot be corrected using the volume on my phone as it's at max too! I was so hopeful for this unit.
Parrot Minikit Works great sometimes. Has great speaker volume. Sometimes cannot get it to connect and sometimes locks up. I believe this is an issue with the Minikit and the Touch combination as I also tested a Parrot LS3200 color built in unit with the exact same terrible results. Unusable!
Motorola T505 Nice aesthetics. Connects automatically every time. Has mini USB power connector exactly the same as my phone. Very good speaker volume and I love the option of using the FM transmitter with my car stereo for even better sound and volume. No complaints from people on the other end and they never heard an echo like the BlueAnt. I haven't tried using the music player but that isn't why I bought it. I prefer the Supertooth II on/off mic switch over the Motorola back of the unit location. This is by far the best unit for use with my Sprint Touch and the one I'll keep using. Works fantastic!
Now I'm giving away the other units to friends. I recently bought a 2008 Cadillac CTS. It is the best car I have driven to date, but the biggest problem it has is that all vehicles manufactured prior to April 2008 have no bluetooth. This is the first car I have owned without bluetooth installed since the technology first became available. Since I run a business and constantly use the phone in my car, I scrambled to find the perfect device.
Right now the two most popular BT devices are the Blueant Supertooth Light and the Motorola T505. It was a tough choice which way to go but I chose the Motorola because it had FM transmitting capability.
The one thing that is misleading about the pictures depicted of this device on Amazon is its size. I was amazed to see just how small the T505 is. It comes with a very strong clip that secures itself on the visor, and it easily slides on and off whenever you need to remove the T505 for charging purposes.
The included car charger is worthless for most because who wants that cord dangling from the visor? What is visibly absent here is a wall charger. I can't really get upset about this as it does have a USB socket that allows you to plug your device in your computer's USB port for charging.
Pairing was easy. Hold the Power button down for a few seconds (you may have to press PLAY as well) and the T505 goes into pairing mode. My iPhone immediately recognized the device and once you type in 0000 you are instantly paired. No need to pair the phone each time you enter the vehicle.
For best results make sure the bluetooth volume is all the way up on your phone. This will provide the loudest results from the built-in T505 speakerphone.
My first call came today while I was driving. A british voice announced the incoming phone number. I simply pressed the front PLAY button and the call was connected. Speakerphone was crisp and loud. It was pretty incredible as far as the overall voice quality. People sitting in the back seat would have no problem hearing or joining in the conversation. The caller said I sounded great on his end and would never have guessed that I was talking on a speakerphone.
Press the FM locator button on the back of the unit and a British voice will announce a vacant FM channel that is available for you to tune and have your call directed to. Directing the call to FM produced a rather good quality call though slightly fuzzy.
I would not hesitate to recommend this device to anyone looking for the most ideal bluetooth solution for their vehicle. For portable hands-free bluetooth, this is about as good as it gets.

Here is a nice little product that I like a lot. It doesn't get 5 starts because it is not perfect, and it doesn't get 4 stars because it has problems, but it is still quite good and I use it a lot in my car.The MotoRokr T505 is a battery operated bluetooth device that hooks to the visor and allows you to receive or make hands-free phone calls in your car. While it has its own speaker, it can also transmit the sound through an FM frequency so that you can listen to your calls on your car's stereo system.
Furthermore, it supports A2DP protocol, which means that if your phone is compatible, you can stream music to its speaker or to your stereo system. And not only MP3 music, as it works well with applications too (so, if you have Windows Media Player or equivalent application in your phone, you can actually listen to Internet Radio or Podcasts, for example).
The main problem I have with this device is the transmitter strength. While I guess that it could work well with a front side antenna, my car has a rear side and the signal strength is not that high. Makes it hard to listen on FM in a busy area (probably most larger cities). There is a workaround though, but it is a little annoying (keep reading to find out).
Other issues are the awkward operation. Turning it on and off is actually unecessarily hard, as you need to press the power button on the back of the unit for several seconds before it will turn on or off. For your own safety, do not try to do this while driving.
Another awkward operation issue is the FM frequency setup. This device will automatically search the current area and choose the "less" crowded frequency for you. It doesn't do a good job, particularly in crowded areas. With time, if you are driving the same route everyday, you will notice which frequencies work better. You can then store them as one of the 5 preferred stations. Even then, it will only pick a preferred frequency if there is no interference when you try it. You cannot force it to pick a frequency you want, not you can store a frequency that wasn't picked automatically.
On the other hand, there are several other very nice features about this thing. I especially like the mini-USB charging plug, its small size, long battery life, its visor clipping capability and how it is well positioned in my car to access the controls, which are basically call/receive, play/stop, previous/next.
It also works very well with voice calling if your phone supports it and it will tell you the number of the person calling when you receive a call.
With my phone, bluetooth connection is a breeze and works pretty well. Turn it on and the connection is aquired. Also, I have not had problems with noise, echo, or sensitivity of the mic. All work very well in my car.
Here are some tricks I found over time that can make your life easier with this device:
Once you have chosen one or more preferred stations, turn on the FM transmitter in your parking, especially if it is underground. As there is poor reception there, it will pick your preferred stations most of the time.
You can greatly improve transmission quality if you connect the device to the charger, as the charger works as an antenna for it. In fact, frequencies that are otherwise full of interference, start to work beautifully. Of course, having the cable crossing your windshield is not a good idea, so you might need to place the T505 somewhere else when connected.
In the end, it is a good product that could be improved even more, especially if it had more transmitting power (or larger antenna) and a better frequency setup. I use it a lot today, but in my next car, I will try to get a bluetooth enabled radio instead, in order to avoid the FM transmitter problems.

I've been looking for a way to get my HTC Touch more "integrated" with my factory sat nav system in my Yukon. I already had the BlueAnt Supertooth II bluetooth speaker phone, but really wanted something that would work with the stereo. So I pre-ordered the ROKR T505 and have been using it for about a week now. First, in the box, you don't get a whole lot. Just the unit, visor clip, a DC charger, and very detailed and easy to understand instructions. However, since it uses mini-USB, any one of my many AC, DC, or USB chargers will work just fine. This device is also quite compact when compared to the blueant device and looks good sitting on the visor (also unlike the blue ant).
After it was charged, I easily paired it up to my Touch, and media player (which was already open) immediately start playing music. I made a few test calls in the house, and it works great. The internal speaker is nice and loud (on par with the BlueAnt), controls are well placed for car use, lights and tones are easily understood, and the music will automatically pause/resume when you receive or place a call.
After reviewing the rest of the instructions to understand what the buttons did (recommended), I took it out to the Yukon, and pressed the "FM" button. The unit talks to you telling you which station to set it to. Once you tune the requested station, you now have full stereo sound through your car stereo for both Voice and Music. If it has a bad signal, simply press the FM button again, and it will find the next free channel.
I made a few test calls while parked and while driving around and it works just as it did in the house, except in stereo sound. While people could hear me OK, they could easily tell I was on a speaker phone. This is partly due to the vehicle being louder than usual on the highway (aftermarket exhaust). Voice recognition (voice tags) on the Touch also worked through the T505, just as it does with a bluetooth headset.
Through the stereo, I could hear the caller just fine. But in my area, which is in a big city, I did keep getting intermittent static, regardless of which station I was on. While not a major issue, it is rather annoying. Changing the station does help, but as you drive, it tends to pickup other stations in the form of breif static and may interfere with your phone call, requiring you to find another free station.
As noted earlier, incomming calls will mute your music, and it tells you the phone number that is calling. It won't say the name of the person on caller ID however. Even though I didn't really buy this to play music via FM, it works about as well as your average FM transmitter. So when a call comes in, I just press a button for the pre-programmed FM station that I previously saved in memory, then go back to CD when it's done. Although if you prefer to use FM for Music and Voice with your phone, this will makes things a lot easier for you. Just keep in mind that this is still FM, so don't expect anything near CD sound quality.
Overall, everything does work as advertised. The battery has lasted on a single charge all week, but haven't had a chance to see how long it will go. Unfortunately, the FM issues are annoying, but expected. Your results will of course vary depending on the sensitivity of your receiver and number of stations in your area. So to wrap things up, here is a list of pros and cons.
Pros:
* Excellent compact design with well placed controls
* Bluetooth supports A2DP (Stereo Bluetooth protocol)
* Very easy to use
* Voice dictation of certain commands
* Speakerphone nice and loud
* Mic picks up voice over moderate background noise
Cons:
* Expensive
* FM transmitter could be better
* No AUX output
Basically, once you understand what it will do and determine that it meets your requirements, this is definately something to consider. However, I personally plan on waiting for something that uses your AUX audio port instead of FM. Not to mention something that is a bit cheaper ($139 US at time of review). I returned it.

I have used many bluetooth earphones. Although many of them sound Ok but the most common problem is that the person at the other end can't hear you well. My two GPS devices also have bluetooth capability for cell phones but with the same problem: the other person can't hear you well. The Motorokr T505 solved that problem. People at the other end can not tell the difference whether I am using the cellphone (Motorola V9 with ATT, a great sounding phone)or the speakerphone. The sound coming out of this device is loud enough and very clear. Cliped on the sunvisor, you are totally handsfree and "ear-free" so you dont have to take it off your ear to listen to music when not on the phone. Turning it on and off is easy, and very easy to use in general. I have no comments on the battery life yet since I dont chat for too long in the car. But I find charging it in the car is easy. I use it exclusively in the car where this device is supposed to be. I use a bluetooth earphone outside the car. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to use it in the car.6 Piece Value Combo Accessory Bundle Kit: Black Silicone Skin Case Cover + Car Charger + Travel Char
- Package comes with 6 essential pieces of accessories for your Sony Walkman
- Include: One black silicone skin, One USB data cable, One travel wall charger
- One automobile car charger, One adjustable armband, One belt clip
The only item that is so-so in the bundle is the beltclip. For some reason, it's white everything else in the kit is black. So of course, the clip clashes with the black case. The only thing missing from this combo kit is a screen protector but you can't have everything. And since Sony tends to use proprietary ports, it's not like you'll find a lot of options for generic, compatible cables elsewhere. So all-in-all, I'm quite pleased with the purchase. Recommended.teenager was very happy and we all know that is a hard thing to do. He use it every day.Very happy with all items from this combo. It has been very helpful to have back up charges and cables for the walkman since I travel for work quite frequently. The sole reason I bought this kit was for the battery charger...which happens to work just as I had hoped. The other items I really didn't need.
I couldn't beat the cost either...Sony charges 3 times for a charger alone, so the cost was well worth it.Both the hard and soft cases are basically junk. Either they shipped the wrong ones ? or these are poorly designed. Only half the buttons are accessible with the soft case. The hard case does not secure the Walkman, it just slides around inside and the lower half of the control buttons are covered.

it would be nice if they could add 2 features. #1: and indicator light to let you know that the units are actually charging when they are plugged in. #2: battery level display. I had to call the cust. service number b/c i thought my units weren't charging. When you turn the units on, the LOW BATTERY light shows up for a few seconds which made us think they were low. Come to find out, the little battery light will never show full power. It is just a 'low battery' indicator. A little more details in the instructions about those to things would have been helpful. It has pretty good sound quality (one of them at least, the other one is getting a little raspy) and the transmission is good for about a half-mile in a city (anything more than that and the transmission will be a little choppy), but because my job only requires me to be at most 100 meters away from the other walkie talkie, this does not affect me.When I took them out of the box, I was surprised on how small they were and I thought that they were kids toys, but I was proven wrong when they worked great as I tested them. A lot of people said that the charger does not work on them, but I have found no problems at all with charging them. All you need to do is plug the charger into the wall, and there will be a split in the cord so that you can charge both at once, you so open up the little plastic cap on the top of the walkie talkie and put one of the charging cords into it. MAKE SURE IT CLICKS IN! There is a little click when you put the cord in, so make sure it clicks or else it will not charge. This might be how the other people had problems with charging, maybe they did not push the charger into the walkie talkie all the way until it clicked.
EDIT: Oh, also the battery cap is a pain and a huge design flaw because once you take it out it is almost impossible to put back in, but I will tell you how. When you go to slide the cap back in, it will not slide regularly because the teeth are laying on the bottom when the holes for the teeth are slightly elevated, and since there is a very sturdy belt clip in the way, it is impossible to slide it regularly in. What you need to do is lift the side of the cap with the teeth forcefully up until they are aligned with the holes, and then push it in. Once you get the hang of this it is very easy to put the cap back on.
PowerLine 1,300mA Universal AC Adapter with Compatibility Tips and USB Power Port 90304
- Energy Star Compliant
- Universal design works with most battery powered devices
- Complete with 7 plug tips making it ideal and convenient
- Switchable between 3 volts and 12 volts
I'm so mad at myself, but it's not the charger's fault! Ugh!!!
Minus 1 star because the USB port does NOT simultaneously work when the charger is charging one of the tips! That really sucks cause I thought I would be able to charge my baby monitor AND cell phone/ipod at the same time from the same outlet!
BE VERY CAREFUL AND READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PLUGGING IT INTO ANY DEVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't make my mistake! I'm paying for it now!!!
Buy PowerLine 1,300mA Universal AC Adapter with Compatibility Tips and USB Power Port 90304 Now
This Powerline Universal AC adapter can be used in place of disposable batteries. In addition, there is an USB power port for devices that draw power via an USB cord. It is NOT a charger; it cannot be used for electronic gadgets with rechargeable batteries, although the USB port can be used as a power outlet for devices with built-in or plugged-in chargers. This adapter plugs into a 100-120VAC outlet only and thus may not be compatible with the electrical grids of some foreign countries. The current draw is rated at 1300 mA; that is large for an AC adapter (See Footnote). I bought an exact model of this adapter in a retail store about 3-1/2 years ago and it is still functioning perfectly. It is a proven product, folks. The blades of this AC adapter can be folded flat for easy storage. There are 5 voltage settings: 3V, 4.5V, 6V, 7.5V, 9V, and 12V, and an USB power setting. It comes with 7 interchangeable plugs of various sizes, secured in a storage bar. Note that you can only use either the USB port or a power plug at any single time, but not both at the same time. Before you install a plug onto the cord, you need to find out the polarity of your device; it is either tip positive or tip negative. You can usually find the information right next to the power socket of your electronic device. Install the plug by lining up the + or symbol with the word "Tip" on the plug receptor of the cord. The wrong polarity may harm electronic gadgets with delicate integrated circuits. It is therefore best to obtain the polarity information ahead of time.
Footnote: If you are buying an adapter to replace an old one that came with a product, buy one with a current rating equal to or more than the original.I bought it as a companion to an electronic and unfortunately it didn't work, tested it with other items and it works just fine! Ended up returning the other piece but keeping this charger. I have gone around testing it with other electronics like my cell phone using the USB port and it also works. I am really happy with this purchase! This adapter does not allow you to use the USB port at the same time as the universal tip part. Also, the 1.3A rating is for the tip portion only. The USB portion is a mere 300mA.Rated down one point because there was no mention that the tips are in 90 degree configurations. Makes the tips shorter than a straight configuration and more apt to not fit in all the way. Barely stays in my device because it's too short. Otherwise, the adapter works well.

Schumacher SP3 Automatic Battery Extender / Maintainer
- For use with 6 and 12 Volts batteries
- Scrolling digital messaging displays step by step instructions to properly charge your battery
- Auto voltage detection automatically detects 6 or 12 Volts batteries
- Hook attachment allows the unit to hang outside the work area for safety and convenience
- It includes 50 ampere quick connect clamps, 24 inch fused ring leads harness with weather cap, 12 Volts DC adapter and manual
That being said, there are a couple of quirks the user should be aware of. The % capacity display is not at all accurate. It will typically state that a battery is 95% full, then increase slowly until saying it is fully charged, and on maintaining. I used this with several 9Ah 12V batteries, and some 8.5Ah 6V batteries. All of these were tested before & after with a BK Precision 601 professional battery analyzer. The readings never agreed, but that is not necessarily a problem.
BK Precision 601 Battery Capacity Analyzer
While the $400+ BK 601 is a great tool, it is not necessary to know the precise values of capacity, load and no-load voltage or internal resistance (unless you want to know these things of course!) If you are maintaining SLA batteries of a smaller capacity, say anywhere from 3 to 20Ah or so, just hook up the Schumacher and ignore the initial reading. If it says 95%, the capacity might be 80% or might be 45% (I saw readings higher and lower on the 601) No matter. Let the Schumacher charge until it says 'Fully Charged' or 'battery maintaining'. But do not stop charging just yet. At that point, the actual capacity might only be at 95 or 97% (as verified by the 601). Let it go another 15 minutes or half an hour. Then go ahead and disconnect. By that time, nearly all the batteries I tested were at the full 100% according to the BK 601.
If the battery is too far gone, the Schumacher will let you know. There are a few batteries here and there that will accept a charge from the Schumacher, but may not perform as well as new batteries. Outside of a professional analyzer, there is not much you can do about them. They will work, but may only have 90% or so of the charge. The Schumacher does as best as it can with them.
It also oworked well at auto-detecting 6V batteries. Very simple to use, and for easy operation and good performance, and a great price, I give it 5 stars. Just be aware of its limitations.

After receiving this gadget, I realize that I probably could have used the smaller SP2 unit, but now that I've had it a few weeks, I'm quite pleased with how it works. It is pretty large, but still only about a quarter the sise of a car charger. It's roughly the size of a brick, and has a big LED readout that tells you what it's doing readable from a good distance.
So far, I've only used the alligator clips for my motorcycle battery, but this also comes with a connector that you can attach permanently to the battery and has a simple connector to the charger cord. That means you don't have to remove the seat to hook up the charger. That seems pretty useful, and if I ever decide to unhook my battery and risk losing all the settings on my stereo, I'll install it.
I think something like this is essential in places that have a proper winter that keeps you from riding for weeks at a time.

This is a great gadget and a must have for any garage mechanic. It takes the guess work out of your battery's maint. Very easy to use. Ive only had it a few days and its already saved me time. I highly reccomend it. Well worth the money!!!Want Schumacher SP3 Automatic Battery Extender / Maintainer Discount?
I bought this battery "extender" to maintain the battery in my two-year-old, rarely-driven garage queen. When I first attached the unit, it said it was analyzing the battery, then reported that it was 5% charged, and proceeded to begin charging. The car had been sitting for three weeks, so I was not alarmed at the battery's condition. It has now been 48 hours, and display says the battery is at 91% charge, the same thing it said twelve hours ago. So either my like-new battery can no longer take a full charge, or this unit is flawed in some way.Other than this odd behavior, I like the SP3. It tells you what it's doing, takes up little space, and comes with a few different connection options.
One last thing. The manual that comes in the box is brief and omits information--like the connection options. I found a better copy online, but that should not be necessary.
Here is an update: after four days of charging (!), the unit finally switched over to "Maintaining", so all seems well.Great charger for the price you can't find a better one. I highly recommend. It analyzes , charges and maintains your battery. Great charger for long time storage of your battery.

Bought this for a particular application that I admit I didn't think through. I wanted to charge 2 12V deep cycle batteries from one Solar Regulator. This Item does not allow the MPPT regulator to sample battery voltage in order to know what state the battery is in, it is a ONE WAY CURRENT DEVICE. Thats my fault, I didnt research that before bought it and in retrospect, its obvious. there is a work around with 0.25amp fuses, and having done that, this isolator works perfectly. Would recommend it anyone with the added info that the charger must be an old school resistive charger (like a car alternator or one of those non-smart chargers you see in automotive yards).Short story: It Works Cant be used with smart chargers that need "feedback" from the battery, but it works.

It did the job of keeping both my batteries on board the boat fully charged even when using them off shore at night.I researched this company online and they have been around for quite a while with a good reputation. The install went easily and the instructions were good, in fact simple. I tested at home and thought everything was fine so off to the desert I went. About 14 miles in the check engine light came on and a few minutes later the engine started sputtering, when I stopped it died. My yellow Lab was not pleased either. My main battery was completely dead but my accessory battery was still fully charged. I would rather be lucky than good any day! I removed the isolator from the circuit by connecting the alternator charge wire straight to both batteries the old fashioned way and called it a day. Got home and both batteries were fully charged. I think that either I unknowingly did something or I just got a premature failure or a bad unit. I will go with with this Companies reputation and give them another try. Update to come. Bought this & the 12 volt rechargeable battery pac to keep my Spypoint Trail Cam self sufficient. It has not been time tested yet, however the day after I installed them the battery level was up to 13.41 volts but had only taken a few pics though. i have considerable canopy of trees but it seems to get adequate sun-light to keep the charge. It doesn't appear to need to get a great deal of "Direct Sun Rays", just as the manufacturer claims. This solar panel has paid for itself already! Have it hooked to the game camera and don't have to worry about missing pics due to low or depleted batteries. Great item!Kawasaki 840107 Black 18-Volt 20-Piece Cordless Drill Kit

I purchased a model 841412 (just like this model on Amazon but different model number) about a year ago. Recently, I put the battery on the charger so that I could finally use the drill. At 3:00 a.m. a few mornings ago, I was awakened by a very loud explosion noise. Upon investigation, I found pieces of the battery pack all over the room, along with heavy black soot, a couple of valuable household items that had been shattered, and other pieces of plastic scattered as far away as 15 feet! I am SO thankful that no one was in the room when this thing blew up. Be very aware that this brand and company have a dangerous product out there. Bought mine at Costco and I'm sure they will make it good, but am attempting to contact the company for some additional money for damages and/or returning of this drill "Bomb" for thier own internal investigation; if they even care about the incident. Wish I had read the reviews before picking this up, but now maybe I can help some others who run across a so-called deal on this drill. Like someone else said here...."Don't do it!".Read Best Reviews of Kawasaki 840107 Black 18-Volt 20-Piece Cordless Drill Kit Here
I have owned one of these drills before and it works like a champ. The weight and balance is perfect for a woman and it's easy to find, due to it's green accents, in the bottom of the tool bucket or in a pile of other stuff. So I thought I'd buy another one but within a couple of uses the battery charger got hot, started to smell and wouldn't charge the battery. It's just too hard to find a new charger without going on-line so I opted to return it and go with something that's available in my local hardware store. It's a great drill and if I could get a reliable charger I'd keep it.

If I had known this drill was going to die so quickly I would have never bought it. Ok for very small jobs but don't expect it to maintain power long enough to even install a shelfBattery works short time must be recharged very often.Drill is weak rather as 14 V than 18.0 V
Finally after 4 month of using power supply stoped charge the battery.
