After receiving this kit, I watched the included video. The steps were not difficult. Using the provided tools, I opened my Garmin, removed the old battery and installed the new battery. The only difficulty I encountered was with the cabling connections because of my big fingers. Reassembled and turned the Garmin on. Worked like a charm.

The new battery works fine. The installation video strongly implies that removal of the screws in the back of the unit is very easy. Using the tool provided both screw heads got stripped and there was no suggestion in the instructions to be very careful to not strip the heads using the tool. In fact the screws were difficult to remove and when I called to get replacement screws, I was told the seller did not have any and had no suggestions on how to get new ones. I am dissappointed in the somewhat deceptive video and then no follow up on the screws.

Purchasing this battery is a terrific way to extend the life of your Garmin GPS. After slightly more than two and a half years, my device started to lose its ability to maintain a charge. I bought this solar charger primarily to recharge my iPhone and camera when I'm camping. When I first bought it (and I mean the first day), I tested it out, and it seemed to work fine. However, the next time I used it, it didn't provide enough current to recharge my iPhone 3GS. I also tried it on an iPhone 4, and no dice. The older it got, the less it worked. I'd say it lasted maybe a couple of months before it became mostly useless. I gave it an extra star only because it did work for a month or so. But I do consider this to be a colossal waste of money.

I received this as a gift and I have to say this is prob the best gift I ever received. I bought a used car a year ago and after I bought it I realized that where they installed the cd player they had to take out the cigarette lighter/car charging station. You wouldn't think you'd need this for so much. I couldn't use my GPS for long trips, if my cell died I had to wait till I got home, and my MP3 player was a big no-no since it used a lot of battery life. My husband and I have tried both, charging my daughter's Zune with the A/C plug and USB cable as well as with only the USB cable to charge through our brand new Gateway computer tower. This item is not working. I tend to believe there may be a short in the USB cable considering the fact that the Zune software program states that "no device is connected" along with the fact that my automatic settings on my computer never picked up on the device being plugged in. ...it generates a fair amount of RF interference. If you use this in a car, you can pretty much expect that your AM radio reception will be significantly compromised, and if you use it to power a CD power or similar, unless the player itself is quite well filtered internally, you'll notice audible buzzing through the player's audio outputs (I have a Sony CD player that is really bad in this regard).

It does do a fine job of creating power, and I suppose for the price you can't really ask for a lot of internal filtering. So... the bottom line is that it's a fine product if the aforementioned limitations either don't apply to you or don't bother you.

I bought this to replace the original adapter I got with a Sony CD car kit 13 years ago, and was very pleasantly surprised by the improvement in quality. The cord is longer to avoid pulling, and is protected by a thick rubber exterior. The orginal cord I had was thin, and while it lasted 13 years, it finally snapped clean off. I got this unit and the 60watt unit of Powerfilm. I also bought the Duracell 600HD battery. I live in the desert and can use the 30w to charge my battery for about a day in good sun. I run my fans (usually straight for 3-4 days without recharging), I charge my phones, mp3, laptop, 8ft Intex pool filter (all day), rechargeable batteries (lots of D cells for fans, radios, etc.). I charge my electric mower and electric weed whacker, as well as my two e-bike batteries off of the Duracell battery that was charged with the solar panel. I've only had these solar panels a little over a month and feel really good about charging everything with the sun. The 60w is better for the laptop powering but the 30 is great too, it just doesn't provide as long or as much recharge.

You have to watch the connector ends. I had never bought any solar before, so didn't know the connectors come in all shapes and sizes, like cell phone chargers, and got a battery tender that doesn't go with Powerfilm connectors. If you want a full system you should have a charge controller, a battery, and an inverter. All these need connecting lines that fit to each other properly. Just a note for those who don't know, and may want to avoid ordering the wrong cords, charge controllers and such.

One thing about this type of panel is that its flexibility can be an issue in the wind. If the wind comes up it'll flap over, and if I'm not watching it I can have it out and not know I'm not getting things charged as they should.

On the positive side it isssss lightweight, and great for fitting into a back pack and having recharge power for phones, mp3's, gps units, and battery operated lights. Believe it or not I've got a 12 volt coffee maker and take that with me when I car camp. :)

I've really maxed out the use of this thing from the moment it arrived. I have no worries about basic power needs.

I'm updating this review three months later... still plugging away fantastic. I am continuing to charge all my electric items, and emergency batteries. The batteries I bought aren't so good a purchase but the panels have been great. I used the 60 watt to power directly off the panel a tall fan/mister to cool the area I was working in my back yard when I constructed my shed. You have to love a unit that can power a major fan/mister in 110 degrees where power is nowhere near. :)

OK this is an update after a year of use. This panel and my 60 watt are still working very well. I've learned a few lessons about how to manage getting the best power possible. It really is important to follow the sun, direct lighting on the panel is important so take the time to move or drape your panel with the movement of the sun. You can get a decent battery charge with ambient/cloudy lighting, don't refrain from using it just because it's not a clear day. Don't let your panel get too hot! Too much heat can interfere with charging your battery. I have this problem because it regularly gets over 110 degrees and I have a concrete slab back patio. My panels got slightly "curled" looking because of the heat exposure. I moved my charging location, putting them exclusively on the grass, but it took some creative extension cords to get the panels connected to the batteries (keeping batteries out of the heat). Clean your panels!! They can get dirty even if it doesn't seem like it, so just use very slightly wetted soft cotton cloth, or a good microfiber cloth, to clean the panels every now and then. I still haven't found a decent battery for this set-up, I've tried four different kinds and they cost so much to buy, are so complicated and expensive to return, it's cost prohibitive... so that is the weak spot of my system, but I can still run my laptops, fans, charge batteries, power my electric mower and more without having a "decent" battery.

I wanted this panel to charge a 7.5 amp-hr battery and run my 100 watt ham station.

With a pwm Sunguard charge controller the panel worked great. The panel was rated at 1.8 amps and I measured over 2 amps out and got over 28 watts at a non peak time and temperature. With an mppt controller I probably would have gotten another 4 watts

out. This panel was pushing out power at all sun angles. Very impressive. Also note that I called their technician to ask a question and got terrific help

Powerfilm solar chargers (from 5watt to 60watt) deliver over 15volts, which is perfect for direct connection to most laptops (20w and up typically) and 12volt devices. The product line comes with a connector which is equipped with a cigarette lighter socket, personally I replaced the socket with a 2.1mm plug and found it much more useful with a kit of adapters. I have at least one of every model the company makes, yes I do find them this handy. There is a video on youtube showing these panels being shot with a gun several times and the output drops only 10% after bullet holes turn it into swiss cheese. This is comforting knowing that if one part of the system fails, it will still get you power you need. There is no better system on the market in the world for portable solar. $10/watt is a hard price to swallow, but like I saidnone beats it on this planet...

This is a good product if you dont have a case for your phone. it gets a little old having to remove my case every time i want to place it into the navigation mount. The other thing i am not happy with is the fact my carryer wants me to pay for their GPS service monthly. I just downloaded a differt app and that solved that problem. I like the fact that unlike some other trickle chargers it specifically confirms when it is charging. I have one from Harbor Freight that only indicates if it is either plugged in or connected to the battery. If the battery leads come off it still shows that it's on just because it's still plugged in. The only improvement I would make is that the battery leads could stand to be longer.

This does not work to charge my battery in my car because when the ignition is off there is no connection to the battery from the power port (cigarette lighter). Instead I have a spare car battery that I charge with the alligator clips and use with a power inverter to use as a power back up in case of a black out.

Have a truck I don't drive every day but alarm drains steady power and after 4 days dead. Not only does that kill a standard car battery but makes it inconvenient to get the truck started. Really easy to navigate and plays pandora as well. Had it installed and the guy there told me I had to press the "App" button on the corner to use my iPhone (apps or texts) if I was playing music through it. Well that causes the the stereo to stop playing music, no need to do that at all. You can still text while it's connected and use other apps so I don't even know what that App thing is for. Just wanted to put that out. Overall 5 out of 5 stars, great price, great audio, and I have gotten tons of compliments on its looks (had it installed on an 09 Pontiac Vibe). Buy it here though, I have yet to see it cheaper anywhere else. Oh and it charges the iPhone while you play music. Perfect!!

Well, I just want to say that installing this into my Toyota Highlander (2002) was a little more difficult than i thought it would be, but after that it makes me feel so good when im driving and looking at the HUGE screen! -Setup (depending on vehicle) can take a little bit, recommend professional installation if you don't know what your doing :P.

-I wish the scroll bar (to select songs on ipod, pandora) was on the left aka closer to the steering wheel so it would be easier to control instead of reaching on the other side).

If this is your first upgrade, go for it! the large screen, ability to play dvds, cds, aux devices, and control pandora and your ipod is huge! This is an awesome stereo that Pioneer knocked out of the park! Get it!

If you're not planning on spending thousands of dollars to pimp your ride, and are just looking to spend a little money to spice it up a little bit, these lights are perfect!

The lights are very bright, with several different modes to select from (flashing, racing, steady, etc.)The lights are NOT made for outside the car! They are in plastic tubes, so they will break if subjected to rough use. I put one under the dash on the drivers side, and one on the passenger side. With just those two it really lights up the interior. I also put one in the trunk, which looks really awesome when you turn it on.

Wiring is really not hard if you know what you're doing. If you don't, just look it up online, there are a lot of guides to explain it for you.

i have a set of these in my truck. i have the inside of the glove box plexiglassed with the control pad inside. the wires are a little on the short side, so youll have to add wire on your own to run anything more than 2-3 foot away from your pad. but the lights are really bright and for the price i would suggest these to everybody... i will have pics up reall soon.

First, the kit comes with no instructions whatsoever. Go to www.ledglow.com, click on Tech Support, and find the instructions for your particular kit.

Second, the kit was designed assuming you want to connect to your fuse panel or directly to your car battery. They claim you can use your car cigarette lighter but as far as I can tell this requires a special adapter that isn't provided and is not sold anywhere on Amazon.

Worth it (so long as you're not buying it for the "sound" feature!)

I've seen a hundred LED and Neon under dash or interior lighting kits in the last few years. I was hesitant to purchase this and was, instead, half way through creating my own with a little technical know-how...BUT, the reviews and photos painted a very solid picture. I'm happy to say this product exceeds what I expected!

PROS -

Easy, universal installation (if you don't know that red its positive and black is negative then you shouldn't attempt to jump the battery in your car, let alone hook anything electrical up!). Rather than run it straight of the battery I have installed it using a 12V cigarette lighter plug (as I have easily a dozen outlets in my vehicle for such devices). After installing a blue LED light to my universal 12V plug it makes a very nice addition

Bright, consistent light and fun "flashing/chasing/fading" features (actually quite an excellent audio installation addition!)

CONS -

I'd hardly call this a "con" but since it's a fact I shall state it The music/sound feature that is intended to "pulse" with the music is sub-par. It will, in fact, blink with vibration (not sound!) and when the music is off it will continually blink every couple of seconds. However, if you want a LED kit to go with your music it would be much simpler to run a lead off of your speak, amp, or head unit to get consistent, reliable "music" lighting

The installation is extreamly simple. I ran a 12g wire directly from one of the bolts on the batery. Then ran the wire by the door and sound system. Installed the controller to the left of the cup holders on the driver seat. Ran back the wire for the fron seat. For the back and passanger put the wires in the middle since right below the cup holders and handbreak its empty. Put them right under the seat. I did not use the screws since really there is no place where you would put them. However, i just bought some double sided tape and it has stayed there since i put them. Easy, great look and cheap. Im about to get the external ones.

First of all, when you have a good, fully charged battery, it does what it was designed to do. I've used it to raise and lower a full 55 gallon feeder effectively. I would guess it at 400 lbs. My original AC charger died within the first month and one of the two batteries went bad within the first 3 months. Warn replaced them no questions asked although it was an inconvenience. I think the NIMH batteries were a questionable choice considering their spontaneous discharge rate of 1-2% without use. Lithium-ion would have been a better choice in my opinion. Overall, it does meet my needs but could stand improvement.

I like the winch but it has some limitations. Most noticeable is the battery life is short.

I'm building a house and I recently used the Pullzall to tilt up some engineered trusses that weighed 330 lbs. each. The winch was a life saver!!! The winch load varied from around 500 lbs to 0 lbs once the trusses went vertical. I was able to raise three trusses before the battery started to go low. With the second battery I kept on working. Since the winch doesn't free-wheel you have to power in and out which is a battery hog. If you leave the unit on (even without use) the batteries drain overnight. A battery charge takes about an hour and a half.

I have purchased a 30' synthetic cable hoping to get a more useful length on the winch. Although synthetics do abraid so I'm not sure??????

A remote pendant would be nice but the loads are low and the cable is stout. The variable speed is great for tightening but once taunt, you will be using the full speed, which is acceptable.

You have to make sure that the winch body does not come in contact with surrounding structure when pulling or else you will crack the plastic case or battery compartment. The unit is well made but plastic is plastic.

I do like this unit and would buy it again. You should check the duty cycle to make sure it will fit your needs. I won't be throwing away my chain falls and lever hoists but for light work this will be my first choice.

Does indeed have the power to pull. I use it to draw my Seadoo Speedster jetboat onto a jetdock. 5 more feet of cable would be nice, but not being able to free wheel out to the load is an unnecessary time consumer. Battery juice is adequate, and I'm glad they used NiMH batteries, no memory effect. You can charge them whenever to keep them ready to go. All in all a nice lightweight portable winch.

Bought it over a month ago, had it test with weights and it struggled lifting 600LB, it performed well with loads under 400LB.

Yesterday one of the batteries failed to charge,called Warn and they refused to exchange it for a new one,they suggest I ship the battery to them, at my cost to have it lab tested and depending on the outcome of the test they may or may not send me a free replacement.

I've been running this battery for over 4 years in a cold climate in my Subaru WRX (2.0 L flat 4) without issue. The starter has started to sound a little weak on colder mornings, though so I just picked up a new one.

One thing to note, this battery does not come with the posts (terminals) in the picture. Shame on you Amazon. Show a picture of what you sell. The posts are available for around $10. Also, the battery is cheaper at the website I ordered the first PC680 from, . I should have checked there first. I would have saved over $10.

Great experience in cold weather and with heavy electrical loads. I have it installed on a BMW R1150GSA. Note that the battery does not come with any hardware to connect to the terminal. You will need screws and/or the terminal adapters. I purchased the L brackets for my install.

I could have spent the $180 on the BMW battery, but I just couldn't bring myself to do that out of matter of principal. Anyway, this battery fills the bill really nicely. It is a tad thinner, so you may have to be a little creative as to getting it tightly secured in the batter compartment, but that was pretty easy. All I did is reshape the thing metal battery strap.
