Easy to setup, good instructions. The lights help you see what is going on (battery status, charging...) and diagnosing wiring issues is easy. The included battery was already charged and the box is easy to mount on the trailer. Overall a great solution, you won't need anything else to setup a breakaway system on your trailer.I thought I was a big fan of these, but I am learning that after they have been on the trailer for more than a year or two, they get ruined by what I assume is sun/ultraviolet damage. The plastic film that covers the test button and the indicator-lights cracks and breaks which in turn lets the water into the unit. This has happened on both of my trailers recently, and the damage is identical. This is not caused by abuse because there is no reason to be touching the covering on the indicator lights. This would be a nice product, but it clearly has a relatively short lifespan.

This is a very affordable, simple to install charges it's self when the trailer is hooke to a vehicle and works very well could not be any happier with it.Original box leaked water in, shorted out battery. Box was hard to open. Looked online and found this replacement. Easy to open, weather sealed, nice test light to see quickly battery condition. Very happy.Griffin TuneJuice Charger for iPod and iPhone (Black)

The Good: Great for infrequent travel, you don't have to charge it, you can buy batteries at any store, its cheap ($20 vs $60+).
The Bad: It takes one (1) set of Energizer Advanced Lithium AAA at $6.99 or two (2) sets of alkaline at $5.99 (Duracell AAA) to charge an iPhone 3Gs from 20% to 90%. (I've done two days of careful testing to arrive at these numbers)
As you can see, there's a benefit to a rechargeable battery system for frequent fliers, and a lot of convenience with this product for infrequent users or for people who need an "always ready" emergency top off solution.

Or maybe I have a lemon -but what can go wrong? My TuneJuice has *maybe* a 10-minute effect on my iPhone (when I can measure any effect at all), and I've tried at least four sets of alkalines and several passes with rechargeables. In fact, I tried so many combinations that it was too late to return the thing to our Apple Store.
For what it's worth, I accidentally bought a battery extender from Ryobi (thinking it was their flashlight they look a lot alike)... I think it was $20, but you also need a battery ($12) and charger too, but the Ryobi has not only given me excellent results (hours, without running low) but even charged up my iPhone. (And btw: the Ryobi flashlight, which I did end up getting, is by far the best LED flashlight I've ever seen -lights up the fence across the street.)

This product did not work on my iPod touch as advertised. It did work on my daughters nano, but that is not why I bought it.Want Griffin TuneJuice Charger for iPod and iPhone (Black) Discount?
I bought this product (from BestBuy) to charge my iPhone 4 with rechargeable NiMH AA batteries. It included 3 non-rechargeable alkaline batteries that worked fine out of the box. I only tried them for a minute or two to test that the unit worked. I tested with several sets of fully charged NiMH rechargeable batteries and was unable to get the iPhone to begin charging. Rechargeable batteries put out a lower voltage than conventional alkaline batteries.I ended up returning it, and getting the Tekkeon TekCharge MP1550 (on Amazon) instead: Tekkeon TekCharge MP1550 and am very happy with it.It's great, good size, handy, portable and lightweight. I think it's a great product but I think that it really doesn't work well with the iPhone. It takes 4 AAA batteries but they get used up very quickly and doesn't charge as much in comparison to when I used it to charge my iPod. It lasts a long time for my iPod and nearly charges the battery to full. I suggest you don't buy it to charge an iPhone but it works well with other products.

It feels like it's of pretty high quality. One of the reasons why I am particularly happy with it is that I bought it for about $16:-D (price mistake?). I'm running my laptop off of it currently (dell 15 inch with discrete graphics) and it hasn't even gotten warm. I haven't been able to get the fan to turn on, hopefully the loads I've used it for are too low and it's not actually broken.
It comes with both a cigarette adapter and alligator clips for connecting directly to a car battery (or other DC source). I like that it has 2 plugs, though it would be nice to have an USB plug also...but I can't complain:).
Anyways, I don't think I would have bought it for $40, but it's definitely worth that much (I'm just cheap)This item seems to ship for PA, it only took 2 days to arrive.
It comes in a blister pack and is surprisingly small, included is a tiny 19 page manual, 32" Direct to battery cord with medium sized alligator clamps, and a 32" inch cord with a cigarette lighter plug, and of course the inverter unit itself. The dimensions of the unit are 5"L by 2" high by 3.5" wide.
Tested using a small 8Amp 12v SLA AGM battery.
The unit's manual specifies that the Low Battery alarm will sound at 10.7 volts, however it's actually 11.00 volts. The alarm can not be turned off, so I did not experiment to see what voltage the unit would cut off at. At the Battery Cut Off voltage specified in the manual (10 Volts) your battery would be destroyed. However it's unlikely anyone would be leave the thing running for that long, without noticing the VERY LOUD alarm. a typical car battery probably has at least 300-600watts of storage (for one hour), and is recharged faster then the inverter could deplete it if the car is running.
The internal fan never came on, the manual specifies it will only come on under a load of 100watts. i've only tested a 60watt laptop and it ran without any problems, with the inverter only becoming warm.
I don't see anyone having trouble drawing 300 watts from a car battery due to the batteries voltage drop under load, I tested a 0.7v drop under heavy load with a tiny 8Amp SLA battery for lamp, there were no problems powering electronic equipment.
----
So, in summery, the alarm sounds at a reasonable battery voltage, but the cut off voltage is useless. The device does not draw an appreciable current while idle, but you might want to disconnect it when not in use anyway to protect the cars battery during extended storage of the car (-5Amps/day). This is a pretty awesome product for a $20 inverter, but it's probably not really all that wise to run sensitive electronics on it for long periods of time, you know, like days.

If you have any questions i'll probably reply to them here.I have had this inverter for about a year now. it still works like new (Knock on wood). I have no problems with it.I have this guy permanently installed in my car. It's never drained the battery, and has always worked. I have my car charger plugged into it all the time, and although my cell gets warm when charging, it's never hurt anything. It beeps when I turn my car on, but otherwise I never even know it's there.I bought this item to inflate tubes using an AC powered inflator using only 1.8 Amps, well under the rating for the device. I connected the converter directly to the battery as required in this situation, and correctly had the polarity of the connections in place. Upon turning the power switch on, I heard a pop and it was totally dead. I'd give this zero stars but chose one star since that seems to be the lowest one that has a description associated to it. I do not recommend that anyone buys it. I am not even bothering to return it since the cost is not worth the time, effort an shipping costs involved.
Black & Decker PSS100B Power Station 100 Watt Portable Power Supply Inverter with Digital Radio
pros:
-lots of functions: mp3 cradle, usb port, flashlights, ac outlets, am/fm radio
-portable size with comfortable padded carrying handle
-uses rechargeable internal batteries; cord stores in rear
-ac power station features green/red status lcds
-rubberized grip handle
-nice price
-wont eat tapes or scratch cds
-accurate digital tuner
cons:
-some quirks: usb can cause feedback if switched on when radio or mp3 are also on. it's a good idea to test functions and cross-compatibility before using it the first time.
-100w refers to AC power, not internal amp for speakers
-only line in outlet is mp3 headphone jack
jack of all trades/master of none.
overall, good deal for the price i paid, which was a lot under msrp. not sure if it'd be worth original price. but a good item to have if you like the outdoors. This is an absolutely awesome product! I use it for powering my laptop when the battery dead and this works perfect, not to mention the fact that I can listen to my iPod without headphones, both at the same! I use this on campus, at the park or in the car. Never had any problems with it so far, charges up rather quickly, and the lights are great for in the back of the car without bothering the driver!!I had to send it back last month, I live in an metro area yet had major radio reception problems, even outdoors. Maybe a defective unit, or maybe OK as an iPOD player, but not a radio.I don't know if ithis is a good thing or a bad thing, since I've bought it my power has gone out twice. I absolutly loved it that I could use it to get around my house and still be able to listen to the radio and power my alam clock for the morrning.Bought this for use with my MP3 player at the jobsite for $49. It's solidly built and has sufficient volume and speaker quality. I like the power supply and LED's built-in.
Would have rated 5 stars but there's a slight defect with the MP3 connector that requires jiggling of the wire to get both speakers to play.
EDIT:
4 months later I'm still happy with this jobsite radio, but I wouldn't even consider paying $110 for it. It rates 4 stars at $49, which is what I paid. For $100, I'd recommend buying something else.

They require regular maintenance, stocking backup distilled water to refill the cells, and testing. I am R-E-T-I-R-E-D and would rather sip my favorite green tea and honey, instead of worrying about those lead acid batteries. After all your care and maintenance, in a few months lead acid batteries still become bloated and unreliable. Who needs that unreliability when you will need backup batteries during a major critical incident that brings down your local, regional or national electrical grid?
The Vmaxlr125 AGM batteries, while more expensive than lead acid, are worth every dollar! The Customer Service by the fine employees at BargainShore is superb, too. They answered my various technical questions prior to purchase, then updated their Amazon product photos to show more specific details of the product, too.
The batteries came individually wrapped in plastic, then DOUBLE boxed with precut Styrofoam board.
While the Vmaxlr125 is slightly heavier than the older lead acid batteries they replaced, the fit in the reinforced battery receptacle was perfect. It was also a perfect fit and match for the parallel connections of the new Vmaxs to each other with our terminal connectors, digital charger and system.
While now I can peaceably sip my green tea, my system is finally sipping some reliable electrical backup juice now—and ready for a S.I.P. Event (Shelter-In-Place) to help protect those who God placed in my stewardship.
I hope you are ready, too.
Blessings,

First of all, the reason for the 3 stars: The antenna on these walkie talkies feel like they could bust off at the slightest pressure (they wiggle easily at the touch). Also, Cobra could not possibly have made a cheaper, user-UNfriendly charge cradle if they tried. You have to look in the owner manual to determine how to place the units in the cradle; then they just sit in there such that someone sneezing nearby could knock them out of the cradle; and there is no symbol or other indicator to show how to properly sit the walkie talkies in the slots (as I said, you have to check the manual at least the first time you charge them). The features (power saver, back light) seem decent enough, although I will only be using these for very short range such as around the house. We'll see how these hold up after a few charges and a few months use and if the rating warrants a change I will post an update. For now, I am just nervous due to the cheap way they are made. Will they fail in some way after the warranty? Who knows.
UPDATE: Dropped to TWO STARS. In anticipation of needing a replacement charger, I went online to the Cobra site to see how much they are. THEY DON'T EVEN SELL THEM separately from the walkie talkies themselves! Furthermore, the only retailer they listed for their product is J&R and after checking with J&R online, they DO NOT carry the walkie talkie or a charger! I would definitely not have bought these if I had known this.

Bought these to replace cobra's I have had for years. First of all, does anyone expect any of these units to reach out 22 miles? Didn't think so. That said, these do a very good job in the hill country of Penna. We use them primarily for hunting and hiking. They will reach about 1 to 1 1/2 miles. A little more if you are on top of the hill. My old ones wouldn't quite go that far. They are very clear and navagating the menu is relatively easy, even for us older folk. Batt. packs last all day and charge overnite. I would say these are very good and are often found on sale. No regrets.Great product and great price. Cons: (1) Not variable speed, (2) a bit heavy, (3) still relatively big compared to the competition
Overall, it looks to me like this impact wrench might be outdated compared with what's out there today. Most of today's cordless impacts are variable speed. You have MUCH better control with variable speed, especially when you are trying to put nuts back on. With this Makita wrench, soon as you hit the trigger, it goes full speed.
The wrench seems somewhat powerful, but I found a couple of (maybe frozen?) lugnuts this guy could not take off. It was on a '03 Corolla (I think using 21 mm nuts), which is not even close to a tank. I don't know if the car's lugnuts were put on by impact guns before at a shop, but I had no problems with any of the other lugnuts on that car.
My other gripe about this wrench is the size and weight. I did some specs comparisons of the latest cordless impacts out there today (i.e. Milwaukee 2663-22, IR W360P, and Craftsman c3 19.2 cordless impact wrench) and the Makita is the longest as well as heaviest of the bunch. When you read the Makita product description, they mention how the tool is compact and light. I'm guessing it's when comparing it to electric impact wrenches at the time the tool came out. Those electric impacts are much heavier and bigger. But now today's latest cordless impacts are more compact and lighter than this Makita. Check out the specs for the 3 other wrenches I had mentioned and see for yourself.
I actually got the Craftsman c3 19.2 impact wrench with the lithium ion batteries to try out and honestly, I like it much better than the Makita. It has variable speed, is smaller, lighter, much cheaper, and feels just as powerful as the Makita even though it only has a rating of 200 ft lbs of torque. I did some tests like tightening a lugnut to 150 ft lbs and trying both the Makita and Craftsman on it. Both wrenches zipped off the nut very easily. When removing a standard 80 ft lb torqued nut on my Honda Civic, it really seemed like the Craftsman zipped them off easier compared to the Makita. I don't know if they overstated the torque on the Makita or understated it on the Craftsman, but both wrenches seem just as powerful, however the Craftsman felt a bit stronger. Though that is just going by my observation and feeling, so there is no scientific facts or hard numbers to prove it. I don't know if this is because the Craftsman has a faster IPM (impacts per minute) compared with the Makita. Anyway, since I only need an impact gun for my cars at home (I'm never going to working on big machinery), the Craftsman seems plenty powerful enough for me.
I will say the Makita LXT series has good batteries and chargers so if you already have an investment in them, maybe you have no choice but to go with this tool if you need something with more torque. I ended up returning the tool because of the cons, but I'm hoping Makita is working on some next generation high torque cordless impact that will address all the shortfalls I mentioned. As of now, I am sticking with the Craftsman I bought.

I bought this to replace my Dewalt heavy duty impact wrench 18v XRP set. I got sick and tired of everytime I needed it the batteries were dead. Right from the start I have been extremely impressed with this tool, the power is great, I have been working on vehicles and farm equipment for more then 40 years I used this to remove the 2 1/2" blade holding nuts from a large bush hog rusted and pacted with debris, it is hard to believe how fast and efficient this tool is. It is stronger then my previous air impact wrenches and much handier out in the field. Too bad I cannot give it more then 5 stars because it deserves it. With the 18v makita lithium ion batteries it is always ready to go even months after the last time it was charged. On son just graduated w/his degree in auto/diesel and he picked this out for his grad. present. Was happy to find this on Amazon, a visit to our local "electronics superstore" turned up nothing. The battery in our home alarm system was dying (and setting off the alarm every 12 hours, tons of fun). Thankfully this arrived in a few days and did the trick. It took about 12 hours for the "system battery low" warning to stop, I think the system had to reset itself. Oh, and we totally had to get a locksmith to open the alarm box after losing the key. Awesome. This battery worked to replace my DSC battery in my alarm system. The four units I purchased served the intended purpose just fine. Easy to use and set up. We were on the road 600 miles, three vehicles, one being a 26 foot rental truck. Keeping in touch was a must and they worked just fine. However, the claim of a 10 mile range is ludicrous to say the least. Uniden must have tested the range with one on top of Mt. Everest and the other on another nearby mountain top. Battery life is poor to ridiculous even on low power. Does not compare with Motorola. The range was poor. Interestingly, when I pressed the call button, that was transmitted but the recipient couldn't pick up my voice and vice versa. If they work for you, then you have a good deal. But not for me.They work OKyou won't get anywhere near 10 miles in range though. - Dock simultaneously charges your iPhone (including iPhone 4) or iPod and Mini Battery Pack
- Included rechargeable Mini Battery Pack adds hours of power when on the go
- Includes detachable USB charging and syncing cable
- Compact and convenient for recharging in the home or office
- Charges your iPhone or iPod even when in a case
As a charger, this dock is attractive and reliable. It comes with two inserts, one for the iPhone 3 and one for the iPhone 4. I use the iPhone 4 insert, and my Verizon phone fits into the dock nice and snugly. I do need to slip off the bottom part of my Splash Cruiser case to make the phone fit; this is not a problem for me as I find this very easy to do. If I take out the insert, then the phone fits into the dock and charges while still in the case; however, I do not like to do this as it feels as though accidentally knocking the phone while in this position might cause the connector to bend. I have a wooden charging station that has 3 positions on the top for me to place 3 of these Kensington docks, one for each iPhone owner in my family. This allows the black power supplies to be hidden in the body of the charging station and is quite an elegant solution. We quickly got into the habit of placing our phones on the dock to charge each night.
The mini battery pack fits onto the dock behind the phone. As some other reviewers have mentioned, it is a little fiddly to place the battery on the dock, especially with one hand, but I use the battery infrequently enough that this does not concern me. The battery has 3 blue LEDs and one green one; the blue ones illuminate to indicate the state of charge of the battery, and the green one lights when it is fully charged. So normally you will have a green LED permanently glowing on the battery on your dock. I don't mind it as it is not particularly bright and fairly subtle.
I have now owned my iPhone about 2 months and have only needed to use the mini battery pack about 3 times. I have been pleasantly surprised by the life of the iPhone battery. My battery has only ever fully discharged when I have spent hours playing Scrabble on my phone, or using the Kindle reader, or surfing on the web. On these occasions it has been extremely handy to plug the mini battery pack into my phone and continue using it. After fully discharging the phone's main battery, it takes about 5 minutes after plugging in the mini battery pack before the phone can be used. The red battery icon appears, just as though you have plugged the phone into a real charger, as the main iPhone battery starts to recharge. After the 5 minutes or so I find I have at least two or three hours of use from the phone with the mini battery pack attached (I have never exhausted the mini battery pack the times I have used it). I do need to slide off the bottom part of my Splash Cruiser case in order to properly attach the mini battery pack to the phone, which is not a big deal for me.
My teenage son tends to forget to charge his phone more often than I do, and the battery pack has been more useful for him. Also, my daughters have iPod Touches (3G) and the mini battery works fine with these devices too, which is great when my 5 year old daughter wants to play Doodle Jump but her iPod Touch is out of power.
In retrospect buying 3 docks with mini batteries was probably overdoing it, as we have never needed all 3 batteries at the same time. We would certainly have been fine with two of these mini battery docks and one normal dock. But I would definitely recommend having at least one of these docks in your home for iPhone owners.i bought this for my bf and have seen what it can do. this product is great for its price. we recently put it to the test last night while waiting 4 hours in line for tron legacy at imax. his cell was down to about 65% and he had brought his fully charged charger, this product i'm reviewing, and while waiting on line, and still using his iphone for downloading updates, playing games, checking emails and such, he was able to get almost an additional 40% charge off this lil charger i got him. that was perfect! so if he was just using it to charge it could well be above 40% charge. the dock holds both the iphone 4 and battery nice and sturdy, it even provides a small connect base so all the weight of the iphone isnt on the prongs of the charger. its very easy to hookup. i'd recommend this item to anyone who uses their iphone all day and find themselves with very lil left by the end of their night, and still are out and about in the city or just away from home for that extra boost of power. This product does what its supposed to do charges your phone and give you a battery pack. However, I find that placing either the phone or the battery on the dock requires such a precise placement that it can be pretty annoying. I put mine on the nightstand, and there is no way to put the battery back on the charger with using both hands and having a clear view of the full dock and, even then, it can be difficult to line up. The phone is easier, but something about it seems a little tight, such that it can feel like it might break or scratch your phone when placing it on the dock. Also, you have to press down on the phone pretty hard. If you don't, you may find that sometime in the night it decided it wasn't connected well enough and didn't charge your phone. Overall, it is just too picky to be a convenient dock.Charges phone conveniently as expected. The extra battery charger is invaluable for those situations when you are low on juice and don't have the time or a place to charge. Quality look and feel. I recommend this product.I now own three of these, one for my home office, and two for each side of the bed (my husband and I both have iPhones). I love the way the phone sits in it, tilted slightly up. It's easy to read messages if I'm working at my desk. And the backup battery is a wonderful bonus! I paid over $40 each for the first two, so this price is an amazing bargin.
The negative review states that it's difficult to get the phone in the cradle, even after lots of use. I agree, it does surprise me that I still have to pay attention each time. It doesn't help that the iPhone's connector isn't centered at the bottom. But that's a pretty minor issue for me. It's still a great charger and a great bargin.
