Parrot Minikit Slim Portable Bluetooth Car Kit

After going through several bluetooth ear plugs, I decided to try out one of the bluetooth speaker units on the market. The parrot mini got some great reviews so I decided to give it a try. It was soooooo easy to set up. My 300 contacts were automatically transfered from my phone in a couple of minutes. The quality of sound is great. Although some people have said the volume wasn't loud enough, I've had to lower it. Great product at a great price !!! Already recommended it to many friends.

For the price, this speaker can't be beat. It's low profile and has good volume for such a small unit, yes it has address capabilities, but I have almost 3000 contacts, this is not an important feature to me. I need to hear well and to be heard, that's my only real criteria, this product does both well.

The only down side is when you turn the volume up all the way, the unit can "rattle" a bit, the sound seems mechanical, not static or the speaker itself. Not a major issue, but I have noticed this small flaw from time to time. I can't speak to the battery life as I have it hard wired to switched power.

I had several issues with this product. The biggest problem is the battery life. It has none! There is obviously something wrong with the auto shut off to save battery life. It is supposed to turn on and off automatically to conserve power but from day one, each day I got into the car it was dead. Secondly, the power cord is so short it doesn't reach the outlet from the visor. This was a total waste of money for me. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I was hoping this would make calls easier to handle while driving. I could not hear over road noise on the highway and ended up having to hold the bluetooth device in my hand like a phone. Also, the lack of an off/on indicator was annoying. In town, I felt my eyes were on the road less than just making the call with the phone. My 2009 Scion has an iPhone port(not USB) to control the radio. This device did not work if my phone was plugged into the iPhone port. I was hoping for a simple solution to update my car's capabiliity to be hands free, but it seems I am better off saving my money to have bluetooth installed in the car.

I needed this for a 3 bank system on my trawler. My old Xantrex died without warning. This is fairly quiet when operating. The display is useful and you can see exactly where it is set at any time without a flashlight or guessing. Easy to install and charged my banks (which were fully depleted) in under 4 hours. I replaced the dying, lackluster factory radio in my 2005 Hyundai Elantra with this Kenwood. For the less than $100 price, I am duly impressed. The unit sounds as good as it looks. Even with the factory speakers, the improvement is amazing over the factory radio. It has plenty of power and with dual pre-amp outputs (rare on lower priced radios), it is ready for an amp and sub, not that I see myself adding one, but it's there.

It plays your MP3 and WMA CD's with ease. Loading time is quick, and it also has a feature which will improve frequency response on low bit-rate MP3 files. The remote control is a nice touch, againnot too common on lower end radios. What I really like is the VFD display. You can read this BRIGHT and CLEAR text in any light, and unlike LCD's, VFD's don't "dark out" in extreme heat, nor "lag" in extreme cold. I love the retro look of VFD, but really appreciate the clear bold text which makes reading it easy. The front mounted 1/8 line in is a plus, and the blue backlight makes it easy to spot at night for plugging in my MD walkman.

What really impressed me is the quality of the tuner. FM front end is one of the best I've ever used. I can hear stations the factory radio was deaf to, excellent selectivity. Even driving in downtown Atlanta amongst the dozen nearby 100Kw FM's, this Kenwood never gets overloaded. I was listening to a station from Macon over 70 miles away with ease, the factory radio couldn't handle this and would get overloaded from the nearby transmitters. The quality of the FM is superb, excellent frequency response and S/N ratio. AM is pretty hot as well. This is a good choice for FM DX'ing.

The built-in MOSFET amplifier has plenty of power at 22w x 4, and will drive most speakers with ease though you should be careful if using factory speakers as this amount of power could easily overload them. Installation is easy as is with any 1/2 DIN radio. In my Hyundai I did have to use a simple kit so there wasn't any gap in the dash fascia. Most Toyota, Nissan, and Honda installs should take less than 30 minutes if you have the correct wiring harness adapter.

Hats off to Kenwood, for the price I am more than satisfied. Bring back more VFD's!

I was looking for a basic CD player to replace an old Blaupunkt cassette player that had lasted an incredible 14 years. I purchased a similar spotlight by Cyclops approximately a year ago. I have used it three/four times. I went to use it again this week and it won't turn on. Still nothing.... bottom line is the spotlight worked great but if you need replacement parts like a battery or bulb forget it.

I had had the Cyclops C15MIL, rated by the manufacturer 15 Million Candle Power, before I bought this from Amazon. I tested the light intensity output of both only to find out that not only were they identical, but they also fell far below the fantastic claims of 15 and 18 Million Candle Power. ... Actually candle power rating is such a misleading method of rating light output that it should be outlawed!

Instead, I measured their Luminosity in terms of Lumen Units; both have registered identical readings of 1423 and 1417 Lumens respectively, where my older C15MIL scoring the negligibly higher rating.

I then removed both their Phillips 130 watt quartz halogen lamps and replaced them with a pair of Seoul H4 55 watt 6000K Xenon HID bulbs which were parts of an auto light replacement HID kit that I bought on eBay and hooked them to their Hella ballasts which came with the kit and tucked the ballasts under the reflectors where there is an ample volume for that. I resealed both spotlights, fully charged the batteries and turned them both on.

YeeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!!! The Sun shown at 11:00 PM PDST!!! .... I instantly ended up with a pair of Cyclops 4500 Lumens each, turning the Pacific Northwest late summer, early fall night into broad daylight at a fraction of the cost of buying an HID Spotlight.

This is the best spot light flash light I have owned. Great light concentration with total focus. The instructions are not clear on the recharging procedure. I e-mailed Cyclops twice and have never heard from them. It's too bad a company makes such a great product but has no product support. The light gets a 10. Cyclops gets a 0.

The light when new is fine. In about 6 months it started always having a dead battery making it necessary to be charged the 24 hours prior to anticipated usage (as if you schedule when you might need to look outside in the dark). The light when new would shine for over a half hour before needing a charge. In about 10 months it would only last 5-8 minutes and required the charge right before use, or the battery would not hold the charge. Now, my light is just dead. I paid like $100.00 for this light and I expect for the money that it would have lasted longer. I would buy a new battery for it, but I'm afraid the charger or charging circuit may not be any good and then I would only be spending more money on a junk product. It seems pretty cheaply made and I would not raise such a fuss about this product if it was like $25.00. At that price I would feel like I got what I paid for. So, now I am light shopping again.

Motorola T215 Bluetooth Portable Car Speaker (Black)[Retail Packaging]

This is by far the best Bluetooth speakerphone I've tried. People tell me they can't tell I am in the car. Even at highway speeds, it doesn't pick up any background noise at all. I have this mounted to the visor of my SUV. The only problem is because the roofline is high, I was told I sounded soft. I flipped the visor down about 3 inches (it doesn't obstruct my view at this height) and the sound is now fantastic I'm told. I've tried many speakerphones and this one is the best by far. It has a mechanical slide on/off switch so you can leave it off and flip it on instantly when the phone rings. No delay or missed calls while holding down an on/off button. It also has a mute button and volume up and down buttons. It gets sufficiently loud and sounds good and clear. I'd recommend this over any speakerphone at any price. Best of all it was under fifty bucks at Amazon!

We also have the Motorola T325 which is similar but has automatic on/off which makes connectivity automatic when you enter and exit your vehicle and a couple of other things the T215 does not. I do like the auto connect and disconnect of the T325, but... The T215 seems to be a bit better at understanding voice commands the first time around and seems to have a bit longer battery life than the T325 ( both have great battery life ), I also think the speaker on the T215 is a little clearer. Both are good units , If you have no problem turning the T215 on and off as you enter and exit (it will automatically connect when you turn it on) then the T215 is the best choice. I give it 5 stars because It does everything it is supposed to very well , it is simple ,easy to use.

This speakerphone does not quite perform to my expectations. Here's why:

1. It has a built-in feature that it "automatically powers down when you leave the car". This is false advertisement by Motorola. It does not power down when you step out of the car and shut the door close. Rather, it goes to standby mode only when you walk away from the car beyond the Bluetooth range (at least 10-20 yards or so). It is a fine feature if you leave your car on the street or on a parking lot by a shopping mall. However, when I park the car in my built-in garage at home, the phone remains in the Bluetooth range and connected to the speakerphone inside the car as long as the telephone is pretty much anywhere in the house kitchen, living room, home office... All calls on cell phone at home continue to be routed to the speakerphone in the garage unless I physically turn off the hands-free device, which is very awkward to do because the power switch is a tiny slider, or disable Bluetooth on the phone (but then what is the point of auto-off feature?).

2. Supposedly, the device should go into standby mode some time after it looses connection with the telephone (this is done to preserve the battery) and wake up automatically when telephone gets into the range again. In my experience, this feature does not work. As long as T215 stays "awake" (perhaps some 10-20 mins), it indeed reconnects. However, once it goes into standby, in my experience it never connects back on its own, does not respond to any button pressings, and the only way to get connected again is to use the tiny power switch to turn it off and then on again.

3. When your telephone rings, T215 does not duplicate the ring. It remains perfectly silent until you press the answer button. What it means is that if you hear your telephone ring or vibrate, you can answer. If you telephone is in a purse or deep in your pocket and you do not hear it ringing, T215 will NOT alert you about incoming call in any way. This is the most frustrating. I can live with the tiny power switch, but I expect that my bluetooth device lets me know that there is an incoming call!

4. The claim that it has a "powerful 2 watt speaker" is also misleading. I am sure Motorola has found a way to prove that the tiny speaker which they put in can withstand 2 watts of power perhaps for a millisecond, but sound volume in operation is nothing even remotely close to what one would expect from a 2 watt speaker. I found that even at max setting the volume was on the low side for noisy driving conditions.

5. Power switch which just has to be used with this device is so tiny that it is not convenient to use. Essentially, you have to slide it almost with your fingernail.

6 The device has 4 buttons which are labelled by imprinting in silver color on silver background. While it it not hard to memorize what they mean and layout is logical (answer is on the right), the labels on buttons are hard to see if you forget what they are.

7. While not critical, the unit neither announces nor displays the caller ID.

To be fair, there are several pros as well:

1. Noise cancellation seems to be working well. The sound quality is good. People on the other side of the line tell me that they can hear me loud and clear.

2. Visor clip works well and keeps the device steady.

3. Charger is micro-USB and can double up as a charger for at least some cell phones.

4. The device can connect to up to six different phones. This benefitial feature has a built-in drawback: if two or more family members with paired phones are in the car, the device does not announce which phone it has chosen to connect to, and there is no means to switch between the available and paired phones to connect to the driver's phone. It does not appear that it can connect to several phones simultaneously.

I initially rated this device one star and strongly recommended against it. However, after I read other reviews trying to figure out what works better, it turned out that there is not a single speakerphone that does everything right. Many other speakerphones, including Jabra, share the same issue and many have their own. So I guess, it is just as good or as bad as anything else on the market.

This speakerphone was recommended to me by my uncle and cousin. My cousin wears hearing aids and needed something like it. I was impressed with the sound quality and ordered one for myself and couldn't be more pleased. Unlike Jason, I can hear the phone ring loud and clear. Maybe he needs to turn up the volume on his cellphone. I have ringtones set for different people and that's how it comes through on the speakerphone unlike my Motorola earpiece. Can't recommend this product anymore highly!

Some give it fewer stars because they're comparing it to bluetooth speakers that are extremely more costly. I do my evaluation based on the cost and effectiveness. The radar detector makes a nice beep when you plug it in, but doesn't actually detect anything. I drove past 3 police cars on the highway (and had I set to highway mode) and nothing. It just sits on the dash. The nav is pretty good, but takes a while to load when first booted up. It only works when charged due to short battery life. The user manual lays out additonal features like an MP3 and other goodies, but they don't work.

I like this radio. It has all the features I need. I can go to to 2 meters and 70 cm plus I can use it on the GMRS channels too. My wife uses hers at work because it covers the channels at her work. It was a little hard at first to understand how to program then it got easier as I played with it. I also found a program on line to program it on your computer. I have heard good things about TYT radio's and so far I agree.

I ordered this battery pack as a replacement to a 5 piece combination tool kit which I have had for years. I Recently shattered one of the original battery packs and my research showed that the dimensions of this Kawasaki were the same as my set. Upon arrival all the dimensions were identical accept there was no quick charge recepticle tab on the top front of the upright stem. I set it into my original charger and after 48 hours the battery would run a flashlight, but not a drill or skil saw. I then disassembled the stem and soldered a quick charge tab at the top front of the stem and then it only took 2 hours to recover the amperage needed to drive my heavier usage power tools. So it is now working satisfactorily and I will reorder in the future the same product as needed because I cannot find a source for my originals!

I bought this so I could expand my two panel system up to four panels. It appears to be working fine. The instructions were lacking but the diagrams on the unit give all the info needed. This unit does not have the auto on and timed shut off the 10 Amp units appear to.

This 20 amp controller is exactly what I needed for my Solar electric trike.

I previously purchased an MPPT 15 amp controller that would trip out daily during my ride to and from work (about 1.5 miles one way) That was my poor shotgun guessing skills. When I did the math and found I was drawing 18 amps I saw my problem.

So far the unit has tripped once due to an undervoltage, this was after putting about 10 miles on the bike and then climbing a hill.

I've had this controller for about 3 weeks and have had no other issues.

First, let me say that I am not an electrician of PV professional. I do not claim any expertise, but I do claim to have done and continue to do research. I know nothing about this subject 1 year ago.

Now, let's consider the intended use of this unit. It is NOT a high end solar/wind charge controller and it does not pretend to be so my rating is not comparing it to a MidNite Solar MPPT 250VDC 61A unit costing $700+. This is an inexpensive piece of Chinese electronics made for 4-stage battery changing in tiny-to-small PV systems. Based on everyone else's comments, it works fine when used within it's rated capacity and does not work when used outside of its rated capacity. Go figure. If like some comments indicate you have no idea what wire gauge to use given your voltage and resistance due to temperature and conduit run length, if you don't know to look at the NEC sections 310.15 310.17 to determine appropriate conductor ampacities, well... you may need to either do a little more studying (Photovoltaic Design & Installation for Dummies by Ryan Mayfield is a most excellent resource if read diligently and not a dust collector on a shelf), or pay someone who knows what they are doing to set up your PV system, or simply return your unit and cease talking about things you don't know about. DIY projects should only be undertaken by DIYers willing to perform due diligence research instead of purchasing mismatched components. If you smoke your inverter it is 95% probably because you screwed up, not because the inverter was mis-wired internally. Even diligent research may not be enough, but it is better than ordering things randomly and rating it a 1 without even knowing what wire gauge to wire it up with.

As for the product review: The controller is housed in a respectably thick plastic box with a metal backplate. As someone complained, yes it rattles when it is shaken. This is due to two things: the On/Off button (far right) rattles on the housing, and the wire connection panel (center bottom) which is attached to the circuit board rattles when no wires are secured. Neither of these are defects, it's just that this is made using inexpensive design (a spring would have stopped the On/Off button rattle) and the rattles of an out of the box unit are a by-product of that. When screwed into a plywood mounting board, nothing will be rattling. There are no loose parts in the unit.

This unit is made by an unknown manufacturer. HQRP purchases the units from the manufacturer, slaps an HQRP sticker on the unit face, and ships it. The packaging box does not even show HQRP anywhere. The take away from this is that this is a commodity item, purchased by many companies such as HQRP who put their own peel-off sticker on the housing. The brand is not really HQRP, the brand is China.

I certainly do not expect this unit to last long a few years at best. It has two 35A (or was it 30A?) auto-style fuses soldered directly onto the circuit board. If your unit ever quits working, remove the 4 back plate screws, then remove the 4 circuit board screws, and pull the board and check the fuses. It that's the problem, just use a soldering iron ($8 on Amazon) with rosin-core solder to replace fuses if necessary. Make sure the finished solder got hot enough to solidify smooth and shiny and not gray and grainy looking.

I plan on putting 20A fuses (what it's rated at) in front of the unit to insure they burn out before the 35A fuses inside the unit, and I'll gang my 24V panels appropriately to keep peak amperage under 20A.

My plan is to build out my PV system over years as finances allow. As a starter controller, this is a good choice given my current panel/battery setup. Later as I upgrade it can be re-purposed for my horse trailer or shared with my daughter for a science project or reboxed and shelved in a Faraday cage as a backup.

Compared to a "real" PV system component such as from MidNite Solar or Outback Power, this unit rates a 2. But that's comparing an apple to an orange tree. For it's niche, this is a nice little controller with a lot of good features. It does exactly what it is intended to do to provide an inexpensive controller/regulator functionality for a small 12/24VDC PV system. In achieving that goal, it deserves a 5.

At first I didn't know how this solar controller would work in an RV. After installing it I am pleased with the way it operates. One of the lessons learned was to hook up the wiring in the sequence noted in the installation instructions. Otherwise, it will not operate. The installation and operating instructions are vague and need a little more information.

Xantrex SW Series Inverter/Charger - 4000 Watt, 24 Volt, Model# SW4024MC2

We own two of the older Trace-branded SW4024 (no "MC2") version of this inverter/charger and have been using them in a grid-tied, 4KW PV solar rig for several years now with 0 problems. We have our PV panels connected in parallel to a small bank of batteries and the two inverters. The inverters individually output 120vac, but can be connected together and synced up to produce 240v output. We do this with ours so that we can connect them to the public utility grid on the AC side and do the net-metering thing.

The inverters completely manage the grid-interactivity, battery SOC maintenance, and solar array management, including keeping the batteries charged, but also keeping the arrays from overcharging the batteries. Normally the inverters draw off enough power to keep the batteries from overcharging by delivering it to the house loads and/or pushing it back onto the utility grid. Since our arrays are more or less directly connected to the batteries, there is a possibility that if the grid goes out on a sunny day that the batteries could be overcharged.

To avoid this, we split our PV panels into 4 arrays, each one going through a cutoff switch before reaching the batteries. The inverters each have 3 general-purpose relays, and we use two on each inverter to control the cutoff switches. If the battery voltage rises above a certain threshold, the relay(s) disconnect the arrays from the battery. If the voltage falls below another threshold they're reconnected.

The point at which the relays trip on is configurable in 0.1v increments, and each one has a hysteresis setting that you can use as well to keep the relays from "chattering" if the voltage fluctuates around the trip setting. Very handy.

The inverters also manage the grid-interactivity seamlessly. Obviously they take the DC and convert it to AC for the house loads, but they also take any excess and push it back out onto the utility grid. (Yes, we have seen our meter spin backwards!) If the utility goes out, the switch to battery power is instantaneous and uneventful. As it should be. When the grid comes back up, the inverters will automatically detect this, sync back up, and reconnect. They'll even automatically recharge the batteries for you if you want using a 3-stage recharging cycle to quickly but safely bring them back up to fully charged.

It does this so well in fact that we had to rig up a buzzer (again using one of the remaining two relays on the inverters) to let us know when the grid goes out, otherwise we wouldn't know until the batteries run dry. This gives us a chance to cut back our usage, turn off computers, etc. if we need to. Our battery bank is small enough that if the outage is going to last more than a few hours running out of power is a real possibility. (We did this to cut maintenance and cost, since the batteries are really the only consumable in our system, and the only component that requires any real maintenance. Unless you count dusting off the panels occasionally.)

The only nit I can pick after several years of using these inverters is that the firmware seems a little picky about the quality of the grid it is connected to. If there is a brownout or the frequency drifts out of spec then the inverters will disconnect from the grid. This is to prevent islanding and is a Good Thing.

However, the inverters do this a lot, and each time they do they stay disconnected for 5 minutes after the grid goes back into spec. Even if the glitch was only a fraction of a second, the inverters still stay disconnected for a full 5 minutes.

Normally this isn't a problem since even our small bank of batteries can easily cover such a small outage. Still, it seems like a "grace period" of a few seconds at least would be in order before disconnecting entirely.

These inverters also have a lot of features we're not using in our particular system. You can have it connect to the grid or charge the batteries only during certain times of the day so you can charge the batteries at night when it is cheap and sell power back onto the grid during the day when it is expensive, provided your utility allows it of course. There's another AC terminal besides that for the utility grid connection that can be used for a wind/hydro/gas/diesel generator. It can automatically start most any generator with 2or 3-wire starting circuits.

I would heartily recommend this inverter to anyone trying to build themselves an alternative energy system, especially one that is tied to the grid. It does what it is supposed to, and does it reliably and efficiently. You can't ask for more than that. The sine-wave output means that you can run anything on it, even in inverter mode, and tons of configurable options makes it appropriate for a wide range of applications. I have no reservations giving this inverter/charger 5 stars.

THis is a great product at a great price. It runs two homes and a shop with out a wink. Great for all solar systems... I call mine the milkyway.

I have a Corvette and live in snow country. That means putting the car away for the winter. Fortunately, I have a place to store the car. The down side is it isn't heated. Batteries will freeze if they are allowed to discharge. To prevent that, I need to either drive the Corvette regularly, bring the battery inside, or put it on a charger.

I started my career in electronics designing battery charging systems for hand held devices. I found that the "Ideal" charger is complicated: different features are needed to quickly charge a battery versus maintain it over the winter. Until recently, you needed a different charger for quick recovery versus long term storage. While not the end-all product, this charger is a great, full featured device that incorporates more of the ideal charger features.

Battery chargers come in many types: Bulk Chargers, trickle chargers, and smart chargers like BatteryMINDer.

Bulk chargers are designed to quickly recover from a "dead" battery. They tend to have little sophistication, just pouring out lots of energy quickly. This is fine for bringing up a partially discharged battery and getting the car started quickly. But such brutes may overcharge the battery if left on for extended periods. And, they may not have temperature compensation. The bottom line, they may ruin a battery if left connected for extended periods like the four months I need to store my car.

Trickle chargers try to tackle the storage problem. Prior generations of these chargers just used a low-current charger with a maximum voltage output. These "weak" chargers simply don't have the power to quickly recharge a battery, but are reasonable at keeping one "full" under some conditions. They are cheap and somewhat effective.

Neither of these "Dumb" chargers deal with significant details of maintaining a battery's charge. The voltage of a fully charged battery varies with temperature about 12.5mv per degree. That doesn't sound like much, but over the 100 degree temperature variation that is possible with the car in storage, this is 1.25 volts a significant voltage difference. If the charger's set point is too low, the battery will discharge; if too high, the battery will get too much energy and will over-heat. Such heat kills batteries by boiling off the water in the battery fluid.

Battery manufactures publish the "ideal" charge profiles for their products. Here is a typical charge profile: [ Google "lead acid battery charge profile"] This charging profile has four phases: bulk charge, absorption charge, float charge, and testing.

The "Smart Chargers" such as BatteryMINDer, solve these problem with with a micro-controller. They sense the state of charge in the battery, the outside temperature, and adjust charging accordingly. The BatteryMINDer provides all of the charge phases listed above, and adds two more: a Qualification phase and a desulfidization phase.

Qualification / Soft Start Phase this is to test for a very dead battery The charger is current limited, in this case to just 1/2 Amp. It uses this phase to check for reversed connection of the battery leads, damaged batteries, etc. For a salvagable battery, this phase slowly brings the battery up to a voltage level where it can be charged more quickly without generating excessive, damaging heat.

Bulk Charge/Fast Charge Here the unit puts out maximum current. The BatteryMINDer puts out 2A. This is far less than typical Bulk Chargers (up to 25 A), but will recharge a typical car battery in about 12 hours. This slower rate makes this charger a poor choice for the quick-fix where you find that you had left your lights on overnight and are late for work. Massive bulk chargers are a better choice here, but are more stressful on the battery.

Float Charge This mode is where the magic happens in these smart chargers. The Float Mode provides a temperature compensated trickle charge to the battery. It senses the ambient air temperature or with a low cost accessory the temperature at the battery to adjust the trickle voltage and current to the environment. Unlike simple trickle chargers, this mode pulses current on/off to achieve a complete charge. The tender stays in this mode for about 15-60 minutes, depending upon the brand.

Battery Test This mode turns off the charge entirely for a few minutes and then looks at the voltage over time. It is natural for the voltage to drop slightly. Excessively rapid drops indicate internal issues with the battery. The BatteryMINDer provides an LED indication for a damaged battery. For a normal battery, the rate of voltage drop is fed back into the Float Charge mode to adjust the on/off time of the current pulse to assure that the battery gets only the charge it needs.

The combination of temperature controlled float and battery testing makes this the perfect system for long term storage.

I ended up buying a cigarette adapter for the system about $6 more. This saves me the hassle of popping the hood. I just plug the adapter into the cigarette lighter adapter and plug in the BatteryMINDer. (Note: This only works on cars where the accessory/lighter socket is ON when the car is off. GM cars work this way).

I have reviewed the datasheets and found this the "Ideal" charger for me. (I still have a bulk/starter charger for the lights-left-on, gotta-get-to-work situation).

I will know next spring how well this worked, but I am confident.

I had a battery so dead this smart charger wouldn't recognize it was connected. I used a "dumb" trickle charger on the dead battery overnight—the battery still wouldn't hold a charge but that gave it enough juice to hook up the BatteryMINDer. This is a great product. I don't know how it works, but it does. It both charges and desulfates the battery, or in my case the two batteries connected in parallel. I have 4 other BatteryMinder products, but I think this is probably the most capable of the ones I have.
