It is also extremely reasonable all things considered. It comes with 4 connects, one ground terminal and three separate positive individually fused positive terminals. You don't have to use more then one if you are charging only one battery bank for example, but you do have the option to split its 15 amps of power amoung the 3 positive connections. Let's say you want to run one lead to a battery bank and the second lead to a dc load. All you gotta do is connect the different positive cables to two of the terminals, use the single ground terminal as a common ground and the unit will split the total of 15 amps accordingly.
This is one of the first really serious items I purchased setting up my solar battery bank and I use it when there are a run of rainy days. It is not small. The one con I can think of is after an hour or so of usage it starts to heat up a bit so I just bought a small 13 watt 6 inch AC fan which I plug into my prowatt true sine AC inverter that I have right next to it. Cools it right down and keeps it cool for hours.
I highly recommend this charger and am going to purchase a second 15 amp one or just go for the 30 amp model. Anyway, ya can't go wrong with this. And did I say how easy it is to set up for whatever batteries you may have or any dc load you may want to power?

Some of the things that I like about the case are as follows:
-There's a pocket for your GPS within the case which protects your GPS from scratches from your cable.
-The general space in the case is perfect for the Traffic alert Cable from Garmin; just enough space so you don't have to crunch up the cable but not too much that you feel that the case is uselessly big.
-The detail of attention paid to the design of the case: There is a strap which keeps your case from unintentionally flying open after you undo the zipper and think you're part of a circus and see no risk in juggling your keys, cable, cell phone, gps etc etc as you try to put the GPS in the case (or take it out.) There is also a small velcro strap to keep your GPS in the previously mentioned pocket.I saw the model numbers and assumed this case would be the exact size for my new Garmin 3790T. In fact, this as the new model is, I could fit at least 4 of them inside the case. Not only too large, the internal pouch for accessories is difficult to close with the short velcro tab that locks inside the pouch. Also, lateral elastic tapes make the case almost impossible to open wide. This is a general purpose case not specific for the listed GPS models. Try something else.

I am an over the road truck driver and we bought a Cuisinart K-Cup coffe maker that draws 1500 watts of power and my 1500 watt inverter could not handle it. We installed this inverter and upgraded the inline fuses to 80 amps and it works like a charm. It can be a bit noisy under load but for the price I am VERY pleased. We have been using for three months so far.

I have come back to report that I never was able to get this company to respond concerning the failure of this unit or any type of RMA. I have resigned to the fact that I threw away almost $200 and I am having to order a different brand now from another company in hopes for the best. I do not recommend this brand

I did my research, and looked over countless reviews. I bought the Whistler Pro-2000 watt power inverter, and I am VERY HAPPY!!! I am a trucker so I know what I am talking about when it comes to the needs of everyday power inverter use. I didn't want to have to use all 4 batteries to run a power inverter. I was using a Sima STP 1500 watt power inverter, and it always had problems running my 700 watt micro wave. I installed my Whistler Pro-2000 watt today and it worked just great. I am all smiles. My micro wave worked great without any problems. The digital read out told me how many watts I was using, and the 3 fans on the back kept it nice and cool. The old inverter would take 4 min. to cook a bag of popcorn, I guess because it wasn't supplying enough power. With my Whistler I was able to cook the same bag of popcorn in 2:30 min. and it almost burnt the popcorn, that is how well it performed. First, it does not provide full 2000w power output it's somebody's wet dream. About 1200w is what you can realistically expect. It does work (which earned it three stars) but the vent is almost full-time on, and it starts beeping at below 11v input, and quits at 10.5v which is not quite right especially since the battery voltage is actually higher than what the unit's display indicates.Again, for the money it's not bad I have 400w-rated inverter that cannot handle 90w...

I actually did not get this as a UPS replacement battery, I got it to use with a second wildlife camera to extend the time between battery changes and also to save money. I used it for one season so far & it works good.

I posted another review but it was mysteriously removed!The truth is the truth.
The wall charger provided with the white cable provided locks your phone while it's being charged, the phone also gets over heated.
The car charger with the white cable provided worked for the first three days if you wrap the cord around the phone. After those 3 days it no longer worked.
I have a usb cable that came with the phone and it works well with the car charger, I haven't tried it with the wall portion.
When the seller read my first negative review, they immediately sent me a refund and asked me to remove my review. I didn't remove it. I'm guessing they took it upon themselves to remove it.
The refund a was a nice gesture, however it doesn't change the fact that this is not a quality product.

Nothing to special but they look awesome and perform pretty well, we are testing them right now in the city (not doing to well) but we will put them to the real test in the desert in a month. lots of option on these so it can get a little confusing but give it a little time and you'll remember all the menu options. Animal calls could be better and so could the water resistance capability but overall for 100 bucks you cant beat these. Midland makes good products so im not worried about these breaking or anything plus IF they do, they come with a 3 year warranty. Im calling this a great buy!

If you decide to get one, please do yourself a huge favor and get a decent USB programming cable...yes, a serial cable comes packed with the rest of the goodies, but how many people have access to serial ports on their computers these days? Don't toss the serial cable, with the optional GPS rig and a null modem, you can enjoy GPS-enabled scanning wherever you go!
And there are several excellent programming programs available; I use Freescan which makes programming ridiculously easy, especially if you subscribe to a site like radioreference...programming digital modes is a cake walk.

Great Scanner you will need the following to program without frustration.This is my first scanner and after 1 day I had all the counties in my state programmed. I went with police, sheriff, Fish and game, and state patrol only.
1. Order the car charger, also you will need a 9 pin male adapter with a usb port. The scanner comes with a 9 pin female adapter.
2. Order ARC-XT Basic Software. This is the software that makes programming much easier. It also has an online manual you can click for reference.
3. Equally important under the internet tab you will see the radioreference icon. Click that and order a 6 month subscription for roughly $9.00 create your user name and password and they also accept paypal. This internet site will work inconjunction with your ARC-XT software and allow you to click on your state or where ever your located and you simply scroll through the couinties, then click import, followed by copy to clip board, next you click the upper send icon which is a radio icon. This automatically sends all frequencies and names of the department to your scanner.
4. Lastly, and i blew this the first time dont forget to hit the save icon, and save as profile(i used my first name) this way all your county, state, federal, ect frequencies will be saved on the left side of your profile. At any time you can upload them all, or make changes to them. If you close the window after spending a good hour or two selecting all the frequencies from various counties they will not be saved. So dont make the mistake I did save save save your profile.
If you still have trouble look up scannermasters.com online, they have a live help chat, a remote access to your computer app, and if you prefer you can send your radio in and have them program it.

I bought the analog version last year this time, and enjoyed it for a month before I returned it. It was too much money for what it did. This year, I tried again, but stepped up to the digital version. This scanner picks up everything in my area (except my encrypted county). Once I added an external antenna, things came in loud and clear. It takes a LOT of practice. it is very complicated and your knowledge of radios will have to increase. After over a month, I am still practicing daily.Anyway, its very well organized, picks up the signals well, and is easy on the batteries. Does exactly what its supposed to. Haven't found any bugs either. Finally, this year they have an actual manual. The website that tried to be a manual is horrible.
This scanner has helped me navigate traffic on the interstates many times. I won't send this one back. Eventhough I think its overpriced, I'll be keeping it.

!!PROS/CONS/TIPS below review!!I've had the Uniden BCD396XT for a month or so and am still discovering new features daily. If you're anything like me, I had no understanding about scanners when I purchased this except that I knew I wanted a scanner that could scan analog, digital, and trunking systems. When I first turned it on and began playing with it I was a little overwhelmed by its lack of good documentation. I halfway expected a $400+ device to just start picking up stuff in my town out of the box but it turned out I just didn't understand the basics of how scanners worked. Now that I've had some time to play with it, I'm quite satisfied with its feature set and capabilities.
PROS:
Scans pretty much any non-encrypted source including CB/FM/AM/Trunking systems (digital and analog)
Portable (I can take it in my car, leave it on my desk, or carry it with me)
Advanced programming features (hook it up to your PC with FreeScan and program stuff quickly)
Battery life is good (I can leave it on for about 8 hours before the low battery warning comes on)
Comes with a set of rechargeable batteries (simply plug it in to charge them)
CONS:
Expensive!!
Average antenna (portable antennas like this don't pick up as much. However can be hooked up to a better one easily)
Steep learning curve (be ready to do some reading and keyboard smashing from getting frustrated)
TIPS/RESOURCES:
Get a USB -> Serial adapter like the Trendnet RS-232 (This will make your life much more enjoyable when programming from the PC)
Download FreeScan by SixSpot Software (free free free is good!)
Google "easier to read 396xt scanner manual" by marksscanners (puts things into simpler terms than the Uniden manual)
Check out radioreference.com for a free collection of frequencies for different agencies/public services in your areas (you can use the copy/paste function of FreeScan to import these into the app)
Set the Squelch low (noob mistake on my part. I had Squelch set too high and it was filtering out everything. I accidentally bumped it down and all of a sudden I heard things going on).

You will find this scanner hard to use if:1. You don't know how to use a computer
2. You don't use freescan software
3. You don't know what trunking is and APCO-25
If you do know 1,2, and 3 then the scanner works great, as advertised! I listen to 2 trunked system, one analog the other APCO-25. I figured scanning between 2 systems let alone APCO-25 would be bad but it's quick and very usable. Some forward thinking needs to be done on how you want to program systems and talk groups. Once you have a plan, try it out using freescan.

Good price on this tool kit and had the three tools I needed to do some ametuer woodwork in my garage with 1/2 inch plywood. The cirular saw sucks up a lot of battery life but does cut. Jig saw works well and drill and light work as well. Not contractor grade but I don't need it to be. The price was very good for the whole kit. Comes with two batteries but only one charger. If Kawasaki were to do anything different add the extra charger so you could never run out of juice.Save 30% Off
The tools are as described and "feel" well built. The drill forward and back direction setting works backwards compared to other brands. I gave a 4 star because the light is not halogen so it's a bit dim.

For a kit, you still have to buy other things. Once setup and connected this panel produces power in the shade. Can not attest to the amperage, but 4 days dry camping without using the generator, heater working all night and direct light for only 5 hours and my batteries maintained their charge.

I bought this for my business partner as he uses his iPhone 4 quite a bit and he cannot stop raving about how good it is. As advertised, when my iPod battery ran low I just plugged in the charger and continued listening to my music until my flight was over.
The unit arrived nearly fully charged and I topped it off by plugging it directly into a USB port on my computer using the built-in USB adapter. No extra cables! When I needed to use the unit to charge my iPod I just flipped up the top -which also acts as a stand -and connected it directly to the port. My iPod beeped and displayed it was being charged.
A day or so later I recharged my player again and still the charger was not exhausted. Quite impressive. Little blue status lights along the side indicate the power reserve in the pack so I knew when it was going to need another re-charge. Even after two charges I was only about half empty on the charger and probably could have used it for a 3rd charge before being completely exhausted.
I haven't tried any other charger but I am very pleased with the built-in USB plug and the attached flip-up cover/stand. There's no need to look for a replacement.

I was really looking for one or two of their ultra portable battery packs that they made in the past which was a great product!!I had to settle for this. It is OK. When you get to below 20% on your phone this product does not charge your phone completely back up to to 100%, maybe 80 to 90% if you are lucky. (The old product did)
The compactness is Fine except you are trading width for thickness. So it will depend on how you are carrying it. It does charge the phone back to that 80% within I believe it was an hour or two.
The old did it in 1 hour. It is more contained then the the old (it had to be tethered by a cable) but I did not mind the inconvenience for an hour. Price about the same.
Both could charge via computer or AC. I would say if you can find the old one new I would snatch it up. This one I am reviewing is something you just have to settle for because nothing else on the market
is as efficient or reliable as the Kensington!
