I purchased the product from Walmart for about $30.00. I purchased it as a compliment to a more powerful but not automatic charger I already have. My main purpose is to keep boat batteries charged during the off season. After reading the instructions and hooking it up it went through the charging and stopping cycles as indicated in the user's manual. All of the indicator lights worked as stated in the manual. So far I have charged two batteries. I hooked them up in the evening, the indicator light showed they were at about 75% charge. By morning they were fully charged and the charging cycle had stopped. According to the user's manual once the charging stops it goes into a maintainance mode where it monitors the battery and when it falls below a pre-set charge, it begins a recharge cycle again. The automatic function is nice because you dont have to worry about over charging. The 6 ft power cord and 6 ft charging cables are convenient because I could charge my boat battery in the garage without having to use an extension chord. I have only charged two batteries but so far, so good.

I am using it exclusive for my 2 cars in the winter. Went on vacation and returned 6 days later to find the car wouldn't start when the trunk lid (truck light) was left open. With regular below 32 degree weather in the winter in Wash DC, bought this to maintain the 2 car batteries. After jump starting my wife's car, decided to buy this to charge the battery and monitor battery condition (can't leave her stranded or home alone with a dead car battery).

Instructions were simple, but use caution anyway. Charger had approx 6 feet alligator clip cables to connect to battery and keep away from battery (acids, fumes, etc.). With negative-grounded car, attach red clip to positive battery terminal, then black clip to ground (charger must be unplugged from AC). Then plug into AC. Charger has "connection" indicator tyo show a battery is recognized. Then select 6V/12V, then select charge rate (2A or more). When charging, has "charge" indicator light and 3 lights (25%, 50%, 75%) to show progress. When fully charged, 3 progress lights go off and green "charged" indicator lights up and it goes into maitenance mode. Unplug the charger, then disconnect the 2 clips from the battery.

The unit has a five (5) year warranty; very few electrical/electronic devices now have a warranty beyond 1 year. Even the big appliances like washers, dryers, dish washers now come with just 1 year - the manufacturer effectively increased the price by 10% which is about the repair rate for the 3rd to 5th years.

This little charger works equally well when charging and maintaining both 6 and 12 volt automotive batteries. It's a good choice for maintaining batteries in cars which are driven only on special occasions.

I know the Droid X is an old phone (by now), but when I had my phone plugged into the wall charger, the phone began exhibiting some ridiculously strange behavior such as: opening and closing random apps on its own, opening the messaging app (droid OS default) and typing messages to people in my contact list, creating calendar events with gibberish in the description, and so on. In short, it seemed like my phone was possessed! Never happened with any other charger or when the phone was not plugged in.

I could only attribute it to the wall charger...very weird. Other than that, everything else was great.

Everything was as described. The car charger and data cable work perfectly. Didn't really have much use for an additional wall charger or the screen wipe, but it was a nicely priced bundle. No complaints from me.

I hard wired several of these cables to my street and dirt bikes (BMW 800 GS, KTM 530, Husqvarna 310) for use with a Garmin Nuvi 550 and Oregon 450 T. They work well but prior units have failed. I traced the failure to breakage of the small internal wires due to shock and vibration. Riding aggressively off road creates quite a bit of shock and vibration. I suggest that if you use any of these small usb cable units on a motorcycle that prior to use, remove the box cover (2 small screws) and apply clear silicone sealant to the tiny wires and other internal pieces to secure them. Let dry, then reinstall the cover and you are ready to go. An added benefit to the silicone treatment is that it resists water which can also cause failure. Since going to this bit of extra effort i have had no problems and my GPS units work well. I would have rated 5 stars if the usb came pre-sealed and treated but then it probably would cost more. Overall these work great and the price is very reasonable.

Requires a little bit of wire stripping and soldering, as should be expected with a hardwire install. Works great with a Garmin Nüvi 1490T. Unlike some vehicle power solutions, it doesn't send the Nüvi into USB mode. The toroid makes it a little difficult to snake the cable through your vehicle, but it's not too bad. It would be nice if the plug was a right-angle.

Good solution for those who want to hard wire a charger (without using an accessory/cigarette lighter plug). I would have rated it 5 stars if the box that contains the circuitry had been a little smaller.

I wired this into my motorcycle to power my Garmin and it worked well for about 6 hours. After that, my Garmin Nuvi 765T started reporting "Accessory connected to wrong port" every few minutes and stopped charging. I ended up ripping out this charger and replacing it with the OEM Garmin charger http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0086CTL5Y/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_5 with leads soldered right to contacts and then wrapped in electrical tape. The OEM charger works much better.

The product is ok but I wish the box was smaller I couldn't fit it in the A-Piller so I had to hide it in the roof liner. This shortened all the wires and it barely made it to the fuse box. Also it would be nice if the plastic around the USB connector wasn't so thick. The TomTom has a recessed connection to you have to shove it in there and hope it fits.

I received the first wall charger from United Integral and it was DOA. No LED indicator, no charge. The company was very quick to respond and sent me a second unit. This one lit up the LED when plugged in but the Nuvi 1450 began acting very strangely (it was about 2/3 charged). First it went into mass storage mode so I unplugged the charger then re-plugged it. It started to boot in Nav mode but then went back to mass storage mode. From that point on it seemed to alternately boot between the two modes about once a minute. I wanted a simple AC charger that I could use in NAV mode while charging (still learning how to program routes, etc) so already it was looking like this was not going to work for me. I left it hooked up for a couple of hours and then the low battery warning came up. Eventually the Nuvi was totally discharged, I guess, because when I disconnected the charger and tried to power up the Nuvi it no longer worked. I plugged it into the car charger overnight and it now seems to work OK. Two AC chargers are now on the way to the trash.

I ordered this product with my Garmin nüvi 1370/1370T 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth GPS Navigator with traffic alert and I highly recommend the Hard shell carrying case.

I saw the model numbers and assumed this case would be the exact size for my new Garmin 3790T. In fact, this as the new model is, I could fit at least 4 of them inside the case. Not only too large, the internal pouch for accessories is difficult to close with the short velcro tab that locks inside the pouch. Also, lateral elastic tapes make the case almost impossible to open wide. This is a general purpose case not specific for the listed GPS models. Try something else.

The reason I say Real Yuasa is because Ive ordered a Yuasa from another seller and what they shipped was not a Yuasa. They claim the brand they shipped is the same as Yuasa and that the companies merged which is not true according to my local Yuasa distributor rep at my local moto shop. This battery was easy to match to my bike and arrived in perfect condition. Finish, fit and operation is great. Be cautious when adding the liquid. Yes the battery comes "dry" and you have to add the battery liguid and install the cap. When installing the cap, I placed the battery on a solid surface, covered it with a rag and used a light duty hammer to gently tap the cap in place. Start tapping it in place from one end to another to insure a solid fit. The cap fits very snug so it is not possible in most cases to pop it in with your hands. Highly recommend this quality battery

***Update after 3 months***

Battery didnt last long. Wont hold a charge even when putting it on a regular or trickle charger. Questioning if its a real Yuasa now. Ive never had this problem with all of the other Yuasas Ive purchased from my local shops over the years. Waiting for a replacement battery from Powersport Superstore going on 2 weeks now. Will provide an update for the replacement battery when received.

*** Update after 4 months***

I've continuously tried to work with Powersports Superstore and they are now giving me the run around. Still no replacement battery. The original battery was either just a bad apple or they're selling fakes which I've run into before. I have 3-6 year old Yuasa batteries that are still working without failure on my other bikes. My advise is to go to your local shop if possible and buy a Yuasa battery. They generally buy direct from Yuasa and that way you know you're getting the real thing.

***Update***

Im happy to report that I received a replacement battery via UPS on 12/11 from Powersports. I will install and hope that this one lasts. I previously called Yuasa on 12/11 to see if they could help and they were extremely helpful. Although they dont warranty batteries directly when sold retail, they were a big help and offered some kind of assistance after I had the battery tested by an authorized motorcycle dealer. Good company and good customer service from Yuasa. I will definitely continue to buy their products just not online. Besides, they informed me that although you can buy batteries online, you cannot return them once filled due to chemical hazard and shipping restrictions (understandable)

Bottom Line: There are certain things that we should just not buy online. Support you local shops.

The Yuasa battery is better than the other cheap replacements available and will definitely last a lot longer. I have this battery in my Honda 3000is generator and a Honda ATV. I purchased this product and 6 months later it wouldn't call out. When the repairman took it he warned me he may not be able to fix it. They use the wires that connect the PTT button to the board to hold the button assembly in the radio. Low and behold that is what snapped. He could not repair it. If you purchase this product make sure you get an inline mic setup so that you don't use the button. The call quality is great and it has a long receive distance. Battery life is phenomenal. The only down side is the lack of attention on build design.

This was purchased for my son's Zune as he did not have a means to charge his Zune directly from the AC outlet. Although it does charge the zune as advertised, it's construction is questionable at best.

The metal strips (tangs) that plug into the wall socket have no strain relief on the interior of the white housing. After a couple of insertion/removal cycles into the AC outlets, one of the tangs pulled out of the housing rendering the device unusable. Upon inspection of the interior, it was observed that the rear of the tang was cold soldered to the wire that connected to the PCB. While I may be able to grind the surface of the tang to obtain a suitable surface on which I may re-solder the wire, I may just chose to wire a replacement AC cord directly to the PCB, preventing a repeat failure.

Good news is that the PCB is still functional even if the housing is not.

Caveat Emptor

Where I live they have alot of these speed cameras and this product is great! It works exactly as advertised and beeps when I'm near one of them. I saw a demo video on YouTube and watched it. You have to search for "GPS Angel". Comes with a power cable that plugs into your cigarette lighter or you can charge up the battery for about 8 hours. Highly recommended!!!

Last week I got one of those pesty speed camera tickets and know I was not driving as fast as indicated. Since the companies that contract to operate these cameras get a fee from each ticket that's issued, I'm convinced that they determine when and how the pictures are taken. I watched a video on the GPS Angel website and read a couple of positive reviews on amazon.com and knew I had to have one. Well, I tried it yesterday and it works just like the video says it will and this is a great product so far. I ordered the battery for the convenience of not having any hanging cords and will keep the power cord for times when the battery runs down. There are a lot of red light and speed cameras in my area and this is going to be a great investment for me.

I also have the GPS Angel Model # K1 which I purchased for my daughter. This V4 device is a great deal amd comes with a battery so no cords to plug into the cigarette lighter. I was able to enter in my own address for a new camera that was just installed in my neighborhood. Now my GPS Angel warns me well before I get to the intersection. I am sure this device has already saved me a ticket or two!

I want to start by saying this product works just like it is suppose to. You turn it on and it begins it cycle to acquire a signal for tracking you and Its seems to track you with accuracy, and even the speed control signal works as it should. Lets say you preset the speed control @ 30MPH if your speed goes above that amount it will signal you. Here is where the problem is, ALL of the false signals that this unit gives. I bought this charger because I was led to believe it was designed for the Reverb but it's a universal design. I like the way it functions so I gave it a 3 star anyways but I don't like the thin plastic adaptors that clip or squeeze the phone in place. They look like they will eventually break off. My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to widen or strengthen the base part of the clips and this product would get a 5 star.

The Jump-starter works fine, but the air compressor is cheaply constructed with plastic gearing. Inflating a tire that is completely flat causes the pump to get very hot, the hot metal part melted the plastic gears in my pump. The pump will stop working when it overheats, but the damage will be done. The jump-starter and light will be the only thing that will function afterward.

Vector (VEC012C) Jump Start System MY RATING VERY POOR.

I'm very disappointed in labeling and documentation. The ac recharging adapter is not labeled for brand/device, and I've befuddled it with a bunch of other leftover adapters in my junk drawer. I've got a handful that fit the recharging hole, so which is it? Naturally they aren't labeled as to what device is matched for which adapter all different recharging (watt/amps, etc) specs. I don't want to burn up my unit with the wrong one or set my house ablaze either (not quite Christmas yet).

The manufacturer (Vector brand) is too cheap to have a simple website, so I wasn't able to find the documentation manual or any useful online adapter notes with power specs. Why? The product is discontinued (per a website). None of the Vector sales sites on the web (including this one Amazon!) don't have documentation or much detailed info (simple power/adapter specs??), reminding me again to beware of quick-buck online sales.

My Vector device still has all the labels, but none of them have any specs at all, not even simple milliamps/power notes. That is truly bad. I was going to blame it on cheap foreign design, but nothing states country (or anyplace) of origin. No website label or contact info, nothing but big letters announcing how many wonderful amps it puts out for jump starts, etc.

I'm still digging to find out power/current/voltage specs with the specs I can manually compute what power rating the adapter the adapter requires. Nothing available yet I'll end up wasting more in research time than the product cost me).

For these valid reasons, my rating is VERY POOR for this product. Shame on those who keep selling it.

Think about it Vector was too cheap to spend a penny on a basic specs label on the visible EXTERIOR of the unit. How cheap are the INSIDE non-visible component parts? No label, no contact info, no company phone, no website, nothing but more and more nothing. This is terrible quick-buck business malpractice.

Concerning actual function, it is also poor the unit just barely emitted any air when I tried to use it to pump air into the semi-flat tires of my hand-push furniture dolly cart. It took a long time at that trickle, and what an ungodly racket it makes. The little flashlight thingey is the best part of the unit, which is a helpful feature for night-emergencies, but good luck with anything else.

Amazon and other sites are still pimping and peddling remaining inventories of this unit and who knows what other cheaply made, potentially hazardous stuff.... I am ticked, but I learned my lesson. My payback is this long review. Hopefully you'll benefit by buying something else before you have a story of a cheap unit blowing up or some other misfortune. Amazon and other should also consider the possible dangers they might be peddling to their customer base...

My particular model was the Vector Veco105 but is nearly identical to this model in appearance and function except for the compressor, which it does not have. My experience has been similar to that expressed in other reviews, unfortunately. The DC charger broke after a few uses. Attempts to use other chargers have produced three green lights indicating full charge, however the charge was not maintained for long and the unit could not start my car. I have concluded that the rechargeable battery is extremely poor quality. This was discovered a little after the warranty expired however and so after one use, the unit is worthless.

I had this for 2 yrs during which I used couple of times to jump start my car. The battery does not charge any more and I am left this 10 lb crap in my garage.

The compressor on this unit, like so many others this small, is really only made for pumping up toys or bicycle tires. So don't buy this unit for that purpose. Go to a gas station with quarters and use their air vender.

If, like me, you bought a used unit, you will need to get both the manual and the charger. Do a search on servicenet dewalt to find the owners manual. The manual is a download pdf. Charger model number is 514005-42.

Hope this helps. It's really a neat little device to have around. I especially like the built-in LED flashlight.

You really NEED to read the manual all the way through. The special sealed type battery requires charging at least every 60 days or it WILL go bad quickly.

This adapter will not work if your receptacle is recessed in any way. In my Ranger, the plug didn't reach in far enough to make contact because of the recessed receptacle. Make sure yours is flush with the dashboard.

Looking for a car charger, I noticed this one had a removable FireWire cable which meant I could use any other cable I want. Now that I've upgraded to the new iPod (I got a new 15 GB) I was suprised to discover that it works with the new iPods too. I just use the dock-to-FireWire cable that comes with the new iPod and it works perfectly. Even IF I buy an extra dock cable, it's still less than the Belkin charger at 40 bucks. Plus I can use it interchangeably with my wife's iPod (my old one ;).

When I initially bought my iPod Mini I did not purchase this, but I soon found out if you play your iPod constantly like I do, you will be in dire straights if you don't have one. Some people will complain that the portion that goes in the cigarette lighter is loose ow whatnot keep in mind that different cars have different lighter sizes although they may vary slightly. I drive a Nissan Maxima and it fits very well...the cord is a wee bit short in my opinion but still worth the investment to keep your iPod playing.
